There are actually quite a few treacheries that Live and Learn works against; basically any "if you succeed, discard this" ones. E.g. end-of-turn treacheries like Frozen in Fear and triggered-ability treacheries like Locked Door. You are of course absolutely right to point out how useless Live and Learn is against revelation if-you-fail treacheries (because that may not be obvious to a player).
Silas, as you point out, is interesting with a fail package since it inverts both the standard fail package and standard Silas. He can hedge against success instead of failure, but it still works. It's interesting that his deck is so XP heavy since Survivor decks tend to be lower XP, although all of the upgraded fail events add up quickly.
Gloria can't take Survivors as secondary class. But even if she could, with 1 foot, she would have a hard time of failing by only 2 for triggering Dumb Luck.
Slightly confused on explanation for Oops! The level 0 version says it only works when the monster is engaged with you, meaning the following conversation about it “hitting another investigator” is false since it couldn’t be played in the first place right?
I have a hard time thinking of a guardian archetype: most of the time either they have a mix of weapons or they specialise in firearms. But sometimes people mention a tank / bodyguard archetype and I have never played it myself so if you have something on that I would be interested.
I’m not sure “looking to fail an action” with Stella is a good idea, unless you’re actively trying to use a fail by card. Trying to throw an action to get the benefit of gaining an action seems...pointless? It seems more like a failsafe ability to me.
If you have Quick Learner (or two copies), looking to fail an action is a benefit, assuming you didn't fail during the mythos phase, because then you get two actions with Quick Learner's bonus as opposed to one. If your deck is built around turning failing into a good thing, I think you're weakening your deck not looking to take advantage of it at all times and using it only as a fail-safe.
Played with Stella solo through TFA, failed my way to victory, was a lot of fun

I would love to see a Boxing Gloves and event focused deck.. Of course without the boxer. ;)

You sexy bastards actually took my request! Love you guys! Thanks!
Is there a way to find all you guys decks' on arkhamdb? I clicked on the linked one, but I can't find a way to get to the creator. Thanks!
Have you guys thought about a new player deck guide for Silas?
Yes, now that the Innsmouth cycle is fully spoiled, we should have some New Player Deck Guides for that cycle's investigators very soon.
"Very soon" meaning I'll do them once all the player cards for the cycle are up on ArkhamDB.
We want Teamwork/Stick to the Plan Guardian or we RIOT for next week!
No mention of Drawing Thin?
Double drawing thin with rabbits foot 3 is so filthy - take 4 resources and any card...
That's a whoopsie on our part.
I always forget that card exists because I've never played the non-Taboo version and only played it in one deck.

@@PlayingBoardGames fair enough
With Rabbit's Foot alone you should look to fail every round. If nothing else it doubles your card draw, which is significant.
