Do you know how Try and Try Again doesn't work with take heart, because it returns it after step 6 (Determine success/failure of skill test.), but before step 7 (Apply skill test results.) and thus before the effect of the skill card takes place. Well Silas returns the skill cards after step 3 (Reveal chaos token.), not only before resolving skills effects (step7) but also before modifying stats (step 5 Determine investigator's modified skill value.), so you don't even gain the symbols on skill cards. I'm pretty sure his ability only works on stuff that triggers in step 3: modifying chaos token (draw). From the faq, persistent effects also work. What are they? stuff like: "That enemy gains retaliate and alert for the duration of this skill test." and "Ignore the effects of the chosen symbol during this test (including its modifier)." So cards like Defiance can be used for free once per turn, or you can use it like a free but slightly worse Try and Try Again and get a skill card back if you know you're going to fail the test (because you know this already in step 3, after drawing the chaos token.)
Got some nice ideas on how to improve my Silas deck! Thanks a bunch! Do you have it planned to make a video about the scarlet keys expansion where you will tell which card may suit which investigators? That would be lovely!❤
Hello guys, can you help me? I would like to build a Silas deck to do an epic in guardians of the abyss. We are going to do this epic with a lot of people and a lot of investigators but I Don t know which investigators I will play with. Thanks
So during an attack, can you commit Watch This and Quick Thinking, and everything else to ensure the attack succeeds then resolve everything and pull everything back and use your free action to put back the harpoon? Basically ensuring you succeed every attack without losing anything???
I'd say it's very problematic that Look WHAT I Found isn't in this list. For my first Silas build, I've been RAKING clues in with that, recurring it with resourceful, and getting even more with an old keyring. Sure, it's not his job to get clues, but fighters that DO get clues make the game faster, and help the group achieve more, than fighters that expressly DON'T.
I just realized the Third Time's a Charm has what appears to be Scarlet Keys people.
Btw, Charlie Kane is confirmed to be in the next campaign!
Woohoo! I’ve been waiting for this deck guide!
Love these videos! All notable card videos are auto watches for wife and I.

This is great, but ngl, waiting for the reaction video for the reveal!
"Ok. I'm going to the fuckin' moon! and it feels great."

While the card is good in Silas, I don't think it's necessarily notable.
