Those Kings are just so strong!!! You'll never outwind a Kingfish, they'll outswim the bait every time. As they approach 9 kilos, they really start to reach a decent fighting weight. Love those fish!

Guido I wonder if a 000 large treble hook attached to a slider like your cliff gaff would work better. Sharper points and you can adjust the weight accordingly with sinkers. Similar setup to you cliff gaff just more effective because the treble hooks will be facing more directly upwards as well as have a barb on them. It should make you lose a lot more fish!!!! There’s a reason people use treble hooks when snagging fish lol they are ultra effective

Ah, that royal blue water. A sure sign our famous Leeuwin current has encroached upon our shores as compared to the horrible green water when it doesn't. It sure stoked up the fish action. Pity you couldn't carry out the Dhuey frames and freeze them because the next time I'm in Albany, I would make you an absolute 5 star Dhufish soup (or chowder for our international guests). Do you ever have a problems with worms or other parasites in the filets? I saw a south Florida fishing video where there were a lot of fish with parasites and the fish had to be thrown away. loved the videos. Watching the fish chase the lure from the drone was awesome.

We catch yellowtail off the San Diego coast and they put up a great fight , I can't imagine catching one off a cliff. Awesome video.
