I know it could be quite difficult to get over an addiction especially those that one takes up at a young age. It was a courageous thing Hank did, facing your fears and getting over the addiction of alcohol and drugs. Very inspirational story.

Very inspiring how Hank used his addiction as adversity to march through. I also find it really reassuring how they're are so many people out there with similar dependency issues that just need to realize they are not alone. Hank must be a great counselor because of his tremendous empathy.

The issue of parents enforcing dreams on their children is quite devastating and should be highly discouraged in our modern time, I commend this man for his innocent interior motive and challenges conquered within the terrible addiction.

How did you get all the way down from 11 yrs (the best deal offered by the prosecution) to 1 year? I like your story mate and I can relate in so many ways, but if a guy is a snitch I don't care how far he's come in his personal life, I lose respect for him. Forgive me if I'm way off the mark. If I'm way off then please disregard my apprehension, but if a man commits crime, then snitches on the people he met along the way just to reduce his sentence, it doesn't matter how far a guy comes, it's illegitimate if he's made other people serve time incarcerated to his advantage. I'm only asking though, not accusing, because I'd love to think it was genuine compassion from the court: but it just quite rare that's all.

Yeah you’re not off at all. He lost me when he said he put a woman in a wheelchair and then just continued to drink and not give a shit. I believe in 2nd chances but in his case he had so many opportunities that he fucked up.
