Exactly I became something like this twice in my teens ( wouldn’t do it now) all the 2 had to do is be upfront 👌🏽 they lied than got their karma and they should have gotten much more tbh but it’s whatever

He had so many chances to not deal with her and talk to any other woman
and even with all dis he still lead her on to a false sense of love and then gon try break da relationship apart like he did wit da others. Too bad he ain’t realized dis shit ain’t neva over with 😂
This what pisses me off. You can ignore a mf or turn down their several attempts to get with you, and when you finally give them a chance they show you EXACTLY why you ignored their asses in the first place. Folks need to stop playing with people.
What pisses me about the ending is Darnell talking about, "They better make damn sure the fix the hole in heart before they let her out" I'm like, "You mean the hole you put there on the 1st place!!!?????" It's funny how dudes the manosphere/red pill try to act like women are always the problem but a number of them are straight up like Darnell!!
She already had that hole all he did was make the hole deeper. She killed her ex so the hole was from the first man who hurt her, which was her ex husband. She said she can’t be hurt again basically saying if you hurt me, it’s game over for you. She haven’t fully healed from getting hurt, before.
Darnell was garbage. I felt zero sympathy for him and I can't believe that Mia settled for him. If I were Mia and found out the details of what he did to Brandy, I'd leave him in a second.
@@DebraKeyes-qm6gdDarnell didn’t even do much really. Yes, he played her but is almost killing him necessary? And all the people making excuses for Brandy are very weird…”I felt no sympathy” not very sane to me
This movie really tried to convince people : 1) Martin Lawrence is attractive 2) Even if a man is trash & treats women like game, if he stops all that just to be with you, he’s a keeper & 3) Its fine to manipulate (& then abandon) a woman, who has clearly expressed her mental/emotional illness, into sex & any intense anger or resentment she feels towards you post-realization means she’s “crazy”.
I actually think it's trying to teach the opposite, that it's not okay, that men are hurting women with their antics. Whether it be the woman he actually loves (Mia), his mother, or leaving a trail of broken hearts. It also points out their hypocrisy that they wouldn't want the same to be done to their sister or whoever is close to them. Hence him getting what he deserved in so many bad ways. That's why Brandy gave him that speech about women not being what they make us out to be ie. b*tches, honeys, hookers, or whores.
@@KayTalkNYC Yes but that message comes off even worse as It’s not enough to respect women PERIOD, but “What if some guy did the same thing to a woman YOU HAVE CLAIM OVER??” Or “What if it happened to YOU??” It points to question, but never challenge, the ego and selfishness of the player via using women as props (Ironic,no?) and not the DIRECT clear cut message of “Hey…just respect women Bro”. ✨90’s Media✨

I’ve always been team Brandi ! What bothers me a little with Mia is the fact that she fumbled the bag with Reggie ! He really seemed to care about her. And wasn’t trying to play the games Darnell was. Idk just my opinion.
@@kcross4293 That's true but it would of been nice if she did care for a guy that actually wanted to be with her and not wait for Darnell to get his act together tbh
I really hope Mia didn't wind up with Darnell after Brandy was arrested. She nearly got shot and potential killed behind his messiness and them ending up together would just be rewarding him for all the destruction he brought into the lives of EVERYONE Brandy endangered.
@@emmanuelharris6445 Maybe before Brandy came along perhaps. But seeing how his reckless and out of control behavior affected those around him is a HUGE red flag. Mia would have to work around the clock to mentally and emotionally provide for him after the number Brandy did. I ain't sayin he and Mia have to stay single for life. But Darnell would definitely have to invest in therapy before being remotely suitable for a relationship.
I know you made your comment over a year ago, so you probably won’t even see my comment but to piggyback off of which you said what I disliked is how everyone try to paint him as a victim granted I’m not condoning her actions but all her actions were all due to a reaction of the shit that he pulled, and the shit that he did And she didn’t even know that she was like just imagine how she would feel you don’t involve this person all this stuff and you go use her limousine to take the next female somewhere all the stuff that she bought you and sleep at the girl house, he was playing with fire from the jump and in all honesty that ladies night when they did end up having sex when she went there and basically was pleading with him is when she gave her power away
Brandi told Darnell, basically “You’re playing with fire. Let me be.” However, the thrill of the game got him in trouble. He was thinking with his other head! I don’t know about ya’ll, but if a female tells me “You don’t want none of this.” Thanks for the heads up, I’m out.
Darnell was WRONG the entire movie, I halfway don’t blame Brandy for getting her lick back but murder was just too far sis lol now the car on break pads in front of the police station!?!? COMEDY GOLD!!! 😂🤣😂🤣 the lesson learned should be DONT play with people’s hearts and time he harassed that lady got what he wanted and tossed her to the side like he wasn’t in pursuit and STALKING until he claimed her as another notch on his belt….. that’s what his -ass- gets 🤷🏽♀️…..
Gives the same energy of guys who want 'crazy obsessive girls' and prey on women who need legitimate mental health and then wanna break away completely when they get extremely clingy and annoying.
@@iammar1159 shoot whose y’all? I would have told her I appreciate that information and I think after hearing that news I’m no longer in the mood for sex.
Love this! Little known fact: Martin revealed that while filming Regina King was pregnant with her late son Only he and she knew and he kept her secret and took care of her on set.
As I get older, I definitely felt like Brandy was the victim. She WAS minding her own business before he came along. And quiet as it’s kept, the chic (Glenn Close) from Fatal Attraction was a victim, too. Michael Douglas character pursued her, knowing damn well he was married. Moral of the story, you never know what a woman has been through to make them snap, so you better present yourself with good intentions.
Definitely team Brandi! Listen I'm a man, and I agree with everything you said. There are a lot of Darnells out here thinking it's sweet to play with women's emotions. But I tell you, that chauvinist, narcissistic attitude is pushing them to an early grave. But if anything, Brandi should've gotten a restraining order on Darnell. Like this man really had gained all her information from just her license plate, showed up at her job unannounced and uninvited, and posed as a potential home buyer. No good. Had she gotten that restraining order, she would've been good.
Now let’s follow. He ends up going to apologize about missing her birthday dinner. She breaks up with him in that same conversation, and follows up two scenes later with popping up at HIS house cooking as if they were still together, she goes rampant and puts on a show by breaking his windshield, stealing her tires, showing up to his mom’s house. And tried to kill him…. But all of that is justified, right?
@@MajorDude14 fr like she cut dude off, she definitely could’ve just left it at that and the movie would be over. But people skip past that cause all we see is his faulty ways. Ain’t saying he right, but it’s definitely some delusional ppl in on this movie
@@kendall7086 yes...that "psycho" who Martin Lawrence's character toyed with and played with her emotions. He messed around with the wrong one and found out the hard way!
I was watching this movie the other night on Tubi and I don’t feel bad for Darnell at all. Brandy was literally minding her business & he just force himself into her life and disturbed her peace.
What I find crazy is that they all broke into Brandy’s house. Brandy could have claimed self defense because Darnell kicked the door in. Like, they should be in jail, not her
@BBeauy2020 she wasn't the vallin she was minding her business he came first to her now when she started to like him he change up on her played her over a bet he had a victim mind set that's why she flapet. Me if a girl showing self respect that's a real women
Yea i never got the ending tbh. Unless she confessed to doing it all, I don’t get how they were able to convict only her. Given the traces she left of abuse at the police station/hospital, him approaching her house, then the other two people coming in and breaking stuff, I thought she would have the brains to get him in jail, at least that’s how they portrayed her capabilities. The ending seemed like a fairy tale ending for Darnell.
I think the only reason why T was going so hard on the bet & wanting Darnell to do that to brandy in the first place. Because he was mad at how she had curved him & he wanted her to get played & hurt by Darnell. But ima leave it alone child but I definitely noticed it T had a vendetta
You play with fire and you get burned. She WARNED that man time and time again and then HE got surprised when she did what she did to him. Smh. Lol. She said to him "I killed my husband..." and he thought she wouldn't kill HIS ass either?😅😅😅 Marty mart, you gots to be more careful.
When I was young I thought Brandy was villain , as an adult she warned him and he didn’t break up with her the right way . He hunted her , stalked her and broke her down . He deserved what he got .
Martin was going through it in real life when making this movie. Getting arrested for drugs, getting into fights, cheating etc, his life was a mess back then that probably explains his red eye
I think the red eye was due to how they shot the movie . I believe he was hit the face by accident, certain scenes he had no red eye . Thus I think they shot the last part fifth them rest of the movie
Darnell knew she would come to his club in the beginning, cause as soon as she made her glamorous entrance, he immediately decided it was game on by that point. & yea this movie also taught me that you can’t buy a man’s love. They either want you or they don’t. No amount of loyalty, great sex, cooking, how pretty you are & how good you are will make a man want you. What you do for a man means nothing if it’s not coming from the woman he wants it from. That’s why we need to keep our standards high, our options open, and to test a man’s want/love for us before giving our heart and body to them.
I think about how this movie and Boomerang are both parallel. Mia (Regina King) reminded me of Angela (Halle Berry) from Boomerang. They are different, but the common similarity I found between both characters was they wanted the protagonist. Angela wanting Marcus and Mia wanting Darnell, despite knowing his track record of the women he was currently seeing. Also, it’s the sheer amount of beautiful Black women in this film for me 💕💕.
Marcus is lucky Tisha Campbell's character didn't go Brandy on him. But at the same time Jacqulie was just like Marcus & he got a taste of his own medicine. Darnell's ass got 10x worse though it was his own doing
I was on Darnell's side until I got my heart broken and I got played by some guy. People do not talk about the way you change after getting played with like you're not even a person
I was 16, when this movie came out. Time flies. Smdh At the age of 43, the moral of the story hasn’t changed. Can’t play with people’s emotions. For us men, if a woman tells you about themselves and gives you a warning, listen! I must say, the part, where Darnell’s Pathfinder was broken down at the police station makes me laugh to this very day. OMG! 😂😂😂😂😂
On a lighter note my favorite part was when they were in the hood Eating that food. I’m a huge foodie and based on how scared she was I KNOW that food SLAPPPED DO YOU HEAR ME ?? 😂😂😂

Lynn played the shit out of this role! Even though Brandi shouldn't have tried to kill Darnell, he deserved most of the shit that he got for playing with all those women's hearts. Sadly, there are a lot of men like Darnell that would rather step out on their significant other than be honest and end things. They wanna have their cake and eat it too. 😒
Guys in the military have this same attitude towards women ( SOME,not all ) there's a lot of bed hopping in the military-LOTS. LOL. Had female civilian friends who wanted me to hook them up with a decent man, but,no joy !!! LOL. Most single guys I knew had many side-chicks,so I told the women-NO-JOY.
I’m a man and I can say without a doubt that Darnell got exactly what he deserved. Sometimes it’s better to leave well enough alone and he couldn’t for the sake of the “ rep” or mega man status which is bs by the way. Both both Mia and brandy both played themselves over Darnell which was and is wild to me. This movie ain’t that far off from what the generation is like in today’s society anyways.
Another interesting aspect of this movie is the fact that Darnell seemed to genuinely like Mia but CHOSE to put himself in situations where he’s juggling multiple women because he felt that made him “The Man” Then he pretty much stalked Brandy until she gave in because he saw her as a challenge & another notch on his belt instead of someone he genuinely wanted to have a relationship with. The whole time she made it clear she didn’t trust him & he gaslit & manipulated her. Whole time he got the nerve to constantly give his friend Mia a hard time because she was dating as well. It’s ALMOST the classic “guy ignores good girl for the bad girl” except for the fact that I wouldn’t call Brandy the bad girl. Her intentions were honest, she was honest about her emotions & when she had her vulnerable & honest moment he was more worried about getting his way… even lied straight to her face & went against his own rule & told her he loved her just to have sex🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ On top of all that he put his own mother in danger smh
Darnell is a good chunk of "good black men". Spend their 20s-60s tryna be players & manipulating vunerable women. They usually have a woman they care for but being "The Man" is more important. They expect that woman to wait years if not decades while he tries to screw everything in sight. Oh, & she has to remain single. What the story should've shown is Mia moving on. Not risking her career & life for Darnell.
@@CREOLEHEATwhat is all this mouth you have about black men? My ex is WHITE and 10 times WORSE. Then any black man IVE EVER DATED!!! SOMEONE IS FINALLY TALKING ABOUT IT! My god, I rewatched this as an adult a few years ago, and immediately realized how creepy and shitty Darnell was. There was no way a woman like Brandy should have not been turned off by his approach/advances. Sure, she had traumas and issues that needed to be evaluated but her responses to how the men came at her in this movie made complete sense.
Thank you for doing this movie. This movie is very triggering for me in that I can relate to Brandi character a lot. Men will know you are out of their league and pursue you heavy for it because they think it’s a higher notch on their belt. Men like Martin character are always bothering me. And I know most of the time they just wanna bother me. Brandy was minding her own damn business and here he comes bothering with her for no reason. I’m glad I saw this movie early on in life and I knew then that men will go to great lengths to get in legs and that’s why you can’t give them any. SN Regina king has very beautiful eyes I never noticed. This movie proves that it’s pointless to fight over men. Because beautiful or not men will still play games with you.
I feel that some men just want to be able to say that they could have had you or they broke you down...its a game...but thats a lot of energy to pursue someone you know you cant keep up with. Its crazy...

I lead my life Minding my business, protecting my heart, loving on my friends and family. If you enter my life and bring pain and chaos---You will meet Brandy 2.0. - Respectfully, Hollee
I don't know if this is an underrated opinion or not, but I thought Darnell was a fool. Not because he broke Brandi's heart (which was foolish too). But the fact he chose Mia over Brandi. Mia was a great woman in the movie, but she didn't have as much to offer as Brandi. Brandi shared her wealth with Darnell because she saw a long future with him, together. She did everything for him without acting funny or him having to ask. She got him clothes, let him ride around in a limo, even offered to buy him his own club. On top of all of that, she was MADLY in love with this man. She wasn't crazy. She was going to be this man's peace. And he left a woman who really loved him for his old flame. That has always been the more standout foolish part of the movie for me than anything lmao.
This was such a great movie but ive always felt brandi was the victim she was doing great minding her own business, like he literally came and ruined her life.
They were both wrong. Darnell for how he acted, and Brandi for how she reacted. Darnell shouldn't have been playing around with those women and breaking their hearts. Brandi on the other hand should've got some psychological help for her pain. I know she was heartbroken, but she could've killed him. Love ain't worth losing your freedom and ruining your life. Both parties had to be held accountable for their actions. Don't get in a relationship unless you're in it for the long haul, and if you're hurt and upset, there's places to go for help.
Thank you for the video. I never felt sympathy for Darnell, how can I when he was using women for his entertainment and personal conquests? The audacity to try and pursue a relationship with a loyal woman like Mia, but used and manipulated women like Brandi who was recovering from trauma. I was confused why people tried to portray her as the problem when I was a child, but considering that we have many Darnell's normalized in our communities I can see why.
They said when Martin was filming this movie he had to be hospitalized because he was acting crazy or mentally was unhinged. Regina king was pregnant but didn’t tell anyone until after the filming of the movie. It’s crazy because knowing she was pregnant and then knowing her son committed suicide makes me look at the movie differently.
Til this day I’m Team Brandi!! She basically let Darnell Ass know that hey I’m not one to be played with & he still pursued her . That line when she told him “ There’s a lot of things in my past that you don’t about & that I killed my husband “ that would’ve been enough for me as well. Lessons learned & moral of the story is don’t play with a Woman’s emotions /heart & don’t tell someone you love ‘em if you don’t mean it… This movie still resonates & is relevant to today. Sad thing is some Men still haven’t learned & still play hands with a woman’s heart . I’m a firm believer in Karma & vow to always do right by a Woman.
Ion know about Justice for Brandy because attempted murder is a serious charge to go to jail over some Dusty for. But I have busted a car window or two and bleached some clothes in my past lifetime 🤦🏾♀️ so glad I found my inner peace, confidence and self respect early in life because I can’t be Brandy’s big ol’ age going for the okie doke from a man that makes significantly less money than I do. IJS.
You the type that sound just like you’ll be brandy’s “big ol age” (she was young af here lol) doing the same shit. Stop capping. You no better than anybody.
I think brandy was scared to be in the hood because she put herself a good position to live a good life or a bad experience in the hood or being stuck up
Thank you!!! Ever since I first saw this movie, all I ever thought was she wasn't in the wrong for losing it, he was in the wrong for playing with her emotions and poking the bear. But of course, because she's the woman, they make it seem like she's crazy, and all he's guilty of is being the player playing the game. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to see how she was done dirty
I am team brandy, after watching this movie as an adult and understanding what was truly going on…Darnell was wrong all the way and brandy was holding him accountable for his bull. He shouldn’t have tried to play games with a woman he knew he wasn’t going to be serious with
I thought she was crazy at first but I ain’t gonna lie Darnell did some crazy stuff too. Popping up at the job, all that stuff, so it’s kinda like don’t make me pull a you on you thing. Brandy just did it 10 times better 😂😂 Brandy was super crazy but at a certain point I would’ve just ended the bet that’s all Darnell had to do.
Brandi should take some blame too because for a woman so smart how could she fall for that obvious clown. This is part of the reason these guys do this mess, there are women who ignore alllllllllllll the red flags.
PLEASEEE shut up with that “women ignore red flags” bullshit. It’s tired and extremely victim blaming garbage used to absolve gross men who don’t always show red flags. It’s like y’all ignore alllll common sense when it comes time to blame men.
Right. It seemed like she held herself to a higher standard w/ her being a boss lady who made her own money and owning a real estate company & a very posh house, and she really lowered herself to get on Darnell’s row 🥴🤨💩💩
When Darnell realized he was being put in the Friendzone by Brady he got out of the situation by rejecting her and it worked he got her - the horrific tragedy of her hurt emotions by trying to kill him
I forgot she plays Riley from the Boondocks 😂. Moral of the story is follow your first mind. If it looks like a clown and talks like a clown it’s probably a clown.
I saw this in theaters at the $1.50 movie theater when i was a teenager. Darnell was definitely the villain. His mom, Smitty & Brandy tried to warn him of his womanizing ways but he brushed them all off. Smitty & Reggie were the only mature men in this movie. Fun Facts: Bobby Brown was also in Krush Groove, Ghostbusters II, Panther, Two Can Play That Game, Gang of Roses & Nora’s Hair Salon. Lynn Whitfield played broke in Hard Lessons & The Women of Brewster Place.
Girl, let's go! (DMX "about 3 Kim's 🤣) This is a treat and much appreciated, Martin was doing the thing but was over worked they said. He was seen acting irrational with a fire arm I believe 🥺 he did try to explain in his special RUNTELDAT. The crew did a great job during production although Martin was very thin, exacerbated by the baggy clothes -Regina was spreading her wings after 227 with Ms. Whitfield giving face and body and EMOTIONAL RANGE 🤣. This was one for the culture. Another underappreciated movie - Sprung If you get time a request for little shop of horrors ( EVERYBODY had vocals for days on that film!! )🤣 Thank you again! Yea, he was going through it. In the later Martin episodes, you could really see it in his face. I need to watch that special, i havent seen it in so long.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thinks darnell deserved everything she did to him .. he had all these women and thought it was all fun and games until he met brandy untill she told him abt her last relationship and even how she KILLED a her husband . Why would he even do that and thought she wasn’t gonna try and do the same to him if he played with her
Team Brandy! You would think that considering this movie came out around 30 years ago, that men these days would be more careful and considerate so as not to get themselves into a situation like this, but no, they still to this day run the same shit, get in the same situations and take no accountability. SMH Side note: you clocking all the contracted luxury that Brandy was giving had me cackling 😂😂😂
I have a question that I thought about. I honestly watch this 4 times and I think when he was kicking that friend stuff to brandy at her pool he was trying to be slick and sneaky link her. I honestly don’t think he truly loves Mia either. I think he cares about her yes but she is just a higher level of brandy. He’s been wanting her for years so she’s a higher notch on his belt. Giving up the other women meant nothing because he never cared. Ion Know I just don’t see true being in love.
He only saw brandi as a mission not a person he didnt give himself a chance to fall for her because he knew his mission. Mia was his bestfrienf he loved her saw her as a human.
No, he did love Mia. He just assumed like every man does that Mia would "wait" for him to stop being a hoe & come be his wife. He didn't get it until his mama told him that she was going back to the military & moving on with her life. That right there made him decide to drop every other woman & stay faithful to Mia.
You’re right. He didn’t really love Mia. If he did, he would’ve changed way sooner. Brandi wouldn’t have even been in his radar once Mia got back in town. Even when he slept the night at Mia’s place, his focus was still on sex. He implies he had feelings for her since childhood, but obviously the next logical step is to sleep with every other girl in town all the way up into adulthood and then decide he’s done after he got one last hit. He was a sex addict through and through and his little crush wasn’t gonna stop that.
My question is why would Mia wait when she had a clear up close view of who and what Darnell was? Shouldn’t she get some flack? Cause she sat there and still sat there and watched him do his thing and still in the end almost got killed cause of him and stayed and got in a relationship with him. Ignored every possible red flag possible. So Mia didn’t make any sense either.
My late grandmother, her boyfriend, her best friend, and I all went to see this movie at the theatre when it was first released in '96. I was 14 at the time. After we watched it, I asked all of them who did they feel was at fault for everything that happened. I was stunned to learn that all three of them said the same thing: Darnell had it coming. I emphatically let it be known that everything was on Brandy, because she was clearly a nutcase. Years later, I watched the movie again on Netflix (by this time, I was in my late 30s) and I realized that Nana and her friends were right. Darnell caused all this foolishness to happen. Yes, Brandy was mentally ill, but if Darnell hadn't played around with her emotions, none of this would have come to pass. On a side note, it always tripped me out how the movie ended like a TV series, too. I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt that way. 😂
I like Mia she seems down to earth, and honest But I also don’t blame Brandy. I’m not gonna sit here and act like she’s really a villain when he created all of that reality that was going on that is on him. He just got his karma what goes around comes around you created some mess in the mess landed right back on you❤✨
Ahhhh..,.you took me back with "A Thin Line Movie"...I like this film because in my heyday I was was a young fly guy that the girls always found interest in me.....I mean I pulled some bad Sistas. But then I got older, I gotten married & I learned unlike "Darnell". It didn't take get stalked, beaten & shot to learn a woman's heart is infectious place & it should never be broken foolishly. people can get hurt even killed for spittin' that "Million Dollar Worth Of Game"to the ladies. What I also learned was why we as young men would chase after the "Dyme Chicks" But sometimes your "Good Thing" could be right under our nose but we tend to push the "Good Girl" out the way for the "Dyme" but the "Dyme" isn't who she claiming to be. But the "Good Girl" knows everything about you. You can find love just accepting what's in front of you. It's always the baddest one who becomes the craziest ones. This movie was very funny & entertaining to watch. But the biggest lesson was we better be clear of what you want....what you need....if you want to be truly happy win a n adult relationship then you have to man up, put down childish things & represent ! It's a pro & con for every action....Shout out to that fine sexy thang "Regina King".…Boy I love.some."Gee Gee"..... 🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️
Lesson from from this movie: A lady’s heart is like a claypot in the form of love, honesty, communication, and all of the important elements that come along with it. When she molds that clay thoroughly and hands it to the man or woman that she loves, it must honored and respected with equal love and compassion. However, if you break the claypot, and allow it to shatter into pieces, the unconditional love, trust, honest, and compassionate is gone forever, and can NEVER be restored or replaced in any way shape or form.

Agreed. I noticed that with this movie, Boomerang and Baby Boy for number 2 and 3.

Like this man really had gained all her information from just her license plate, showed up at her job unannounced and uninvited, and posed as a potential home buyer. No good. Had she gotten that restraining order, she would've been good.
He was stalking heavy.
Now let’s follow. He ends up going to apologize about missing her birthday dinner. Martin was going through it in real life when making this movie. Getting arrested for drugs, getting into fights, cheating etc, his life was a mess back then that probably explains his red eye

So true, learned that lesson the hard way
I think about how this movie and Boomerang are both parallel.

Her intentions were honest, she was honest about her emotions & when she had her vulnerable & honest moment he was more worried about getting his way… even lied straight to her face & went against his own rule & told her he loved her just to have sex🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
On top of all that he put his own mother in danger smh
Darnell is a good chunk of "good black men". Spend their 20s-60s tryna be players & manipulating vunerable women. They usually have a woman they care for but being "The Man" is more important. They expect that woman to wait years if not decades while he tries to screw everything in sight. Oh, & she has to remain single. What the story should've shown is Mia moving on. Not risking her career & life for Darnell.

You just brought back a memory. We had a $2 dollar movie theater when I was little and we used to have so much fun there during the summers.
@@forthenostalgia We had a Wal-Mart across the street from the $1.50 movie theater so we never had to buy snacks at the theater.
@@forthenostalgiaback in my day movies were 20$
(I’m 17😅😅)
@@therealmarlonbellamyI was in my mom's body when this movie came out.
@@Sn_da_1stMovies always come to the lower class theaters after a few months of being released in theaters which is much cheaper.
Another underappreciated movie - Sprung
If you get time a request for little shop of horrors ( EVERYBODY had vocals for days on that film!! )🤣
Thank you again! Hugs from an Afro in Asia 🌺
Yea, he was going through it. In the later Martin episodes, you could really see it in his face. I need to watch that special, i havent seen it in so long.
That DMX clip caught me off guard, made me lol!
💯 rest up Big Dawg there will never be another 'X' 🙏
Bobby brown was hilarious in this movie. I can see Bobby’s character playing the Darnell character instead of Martin just my opinion.
SMH
Side note: you clocking all the contracted luxury that Brandy was giving had me cackling 😂😂😂
Ooh, I didn’t notice Martin’s bloodshot eye. He really was going through it! 😳
This movie was a big deal, because Martin the show was such a big deal back then. Plus, ain't no way they would have took down Deebo without a brick.
Ion
Know I just don’t see true being in love.
@@CREOLEHEAT I am a firm believer when a man really loves he won’t put you on hold. And allow another man the chance to get you.
Baby, luxury is IN that contract for Ms. Whitfield 😂😂
The closer to the hood, the better the food. I love ❤️ that!
Its the truth though...no matter where you're from.
@@forthenostalgia Yup.
Watching this movie as a kid vs. an adult is a very different viewing experience 😅
I like Mia she seems down to earth, and honest But I also don’t blame Brandy. I’m not gonna sit here and act like she’s really a villain when he created all of that reality that was going on that is on him. He just got his karma what goes around comes around you created some mess in the mess landed right back on you❤✨
This is why you don’t disrespect people’s emotions. Sometimes, you just gotta learn the hard way.
Not Brandy having a luxury gun too! 😆
That ending definitely give New York undercover vibes 🤣

Cup cake
This is exactly what I was saying. He knew she was wealthy when she came into the club he used her to promote his own success with his old lady. 😅classic but she did scare tf out of me dairy of a mad black woman 😭
Girl yes 🎉 VIP tickets were that important back then 😂 especially when ppl didn’t have it like that too 😅

Martin’s left eye… was blood shot red cuz that was the time after the break during and he was running in the street saying… “they tryna kill me”.
