It does have gyro, it just doesn’t support analog triggers and the gyro at the same time. This is a limitation of all 8BitDo controllers. It's better to use a PS5 controller with Steam, where everything works.
Yeah, I have a sn30 pro and a pro 2, and they're both great, I love that you can replace the battery without tools and even use AAs if you wish, glad to see there's a version with hall effect sticks now
Probably one of the best controllers so far, even though I have the black one, not the green lighting effect. It's more equivalent to a PS4/PS5 controller, if you really think about it, similar concept. Controller rating 9.5/10, wish it was a little bit bigger in the hand but still fantastic.
I have the purple version. Best controller I've ever used. And only $40 brand new. Sometimes less, when there's a sale. Gyro only works in Switch mode though.
I signed up for the giveaway and didn't get a conformation email. Giveaways usually send those, but IDK if this one does. Did anyone else get one or no? I may have mistyped my email address.
I highly doubt this controller is good. I have a original sn30 pro+ and the controller have a really bad input delay. Like 30ms input delay!!! And absolutly nobudy ever botter to actually measure it! So I say: 8bitdonot!!!
Yeah from what I have seen 8bitdo’s marketing is almost 100% social media and RUclips. They hand them out for free so people don’t want to be overly critical lest the gravey train gets shut down. They have a lot of issues with quality control, faulty dpads, lag, and fake warranties. The controller in the video isn’t that bad though. Has a lot of convenience features like the removable battery and 4 device physical switch. The updated hall effect version actually did change some of the engineering. The dpad works better. They may have updated the Bluetooth chip, but I haven’t done any scientific testing. My go to for input lag is Super Mario Bros.. I know it isn’t what most would go with, but I have played that game so many times, I can do pixel perfect jumps while running and launch Mario while hanging of the last pixel of a ledge at the last second. This controller still isn’t fast enough to do that, but I am pretty sure I am not having to compensate as early as I did in the original models.
@@clankfish actually no. Some friends have other models and all are the same: horrible input delay. There's one exception: a licenced wired XBOX controller. I thing MS have some demands about this to certificate a controller. edit: this isn't an exclusive of 8bitdo. I asked some friends with gully kit to also test and the result was horrible too.

Does the Ultimate one have that limitation?
@@Jokerwolf666 yes, there are no exceptions, looks like they are limited by some patents or licenses and not going to fix that
@@ighor Interesting.
either analog trigger or gyro, that's quite weird choice for sure.. wish whatever reason preventing it gets fixed at some point.
@@adaml.5355I never experienced that, my controller is first revision
IMO best 8bitdo controller but didn't have hall effects. Glad to see this has changed.

@chriswoods7774 how would you rate the gyro use on PC?
I own a SNES colored Pro 2. It's an amazing controller.
The new color to match the Jade Green SN30 Pro is just so awesome. The new transparent blue color variant is equally amazing too.

I got it because it's basically a Zelda controller with the green and gold 😊
Thank you for the review.
Windows?! What's this?
Heresy!
It has gyro when u use it on switch mode
Just missed most of the stream, but I signed up for the giveaway at least 😅

No confirmation emails. Sorry.
@@gardiner_bryant Thank you for telling me.
I just bought 2 8bitdo controllers for PC gaming. They are way better then the Xbox controller I was using before.

Do know how to get Minecraft story mode on the steam deck?
Cemu, get the wiiu version with all the dlc
noice.
Bruh, you dont test the circularity?
The whositwhatnow?
You mean to tell me you ain't even test the wazabibo Whipple dip?

Bro I bought this controller 2 days ago and now everyone's reviewing it 😭

i think you just got a dud unit. i'm hyper sensitive to input lag and my sn30 pro+ feels fine to me.
