    holy crap finally someone else realizing that maddie is having a panic attack not a meltdown. most of these are the girls just having emotional breakdowns from too much pressure.

      Key1is1me yes I completely agree. That much pressure would make me cry as an older adult. Abby is so critical. Maddie even recently said that she had massive amount of pressure on her as an 11 year old and that it was not good for her. I never realized that she even panicked about having her hair and makeup perfect for her performance. She is not only worried about her performance, but her appearance. I hope it never translates into an eating disorder for her, as I had as a young dancer. The pressure to be thin is so encouraged in the dance world. Just the fact that the girls costumes often show their stomachs makes me think that there is constant pressure to look “perfect” in their costumes. When I was a dancer 25 years ago, the costumes had a big part of why I starved myself for days at a time.

    kendall was/is also allergic to latex in face makeup.. it was burning her skin that's why she was upset this was really edited. and the problem with the ballet shoes prop was that one of the shoes was weighted and the other one wasn't.... so they kept pulling her off balance.

      Key1is1me it’s not that one show was weighted, it’s that she had the strings on one side of her neck, and the shoes on the other. Abby and Gia were idiots in that rehearsal, they must not have heard of gravity? No, cuz Abby started her studio at 14, she she didn’t finish school

    See most of these weren't the girls being brats. They were the results of 8-15 year olds being put in extremely tense, cut-throat, and critical situations where they were consistently criticized, demeaned, and pushed past their limits time and time again. It's so sad to see the anxiety, fear, and self doubt creep up in all of the girls over the years.

      Jordan Sparks I think Maddie gets put under a lot of pressure by Abby and the moms because she is the “favourite” whenever she messes something up she freaks out so much because she’s scared of disappointing Abby! Same with all the other girls, their scared of disappointing Abby but I think Maddie has it harder because whenever she wins, some of the moms (Christi for example) call her bratty or a show off for celebrating but if she doesn’t win and she gets sad, the moms will be like “now you know how my daughter feels!” or “you can’t expect to win every time!” It’s like whatever she does, she has to get put down in some way because she got an “advantage” and it’s crazy to me how some 10 year old kids freak out over forgetting their dance because of the pressure put on them.

    • @JordanJSparks
      @JordanJSparks  5 лет назад +20

      I agree! The one thing though, is I think that Maddie and Sophia Lucia have a very similar personality to me, and they feel like anything less than perfect is a fail. Maddie as a child reminds me SO much of me!! Like she has this mentality of 'if I can't win every time, than I'm REALLY not good'. It's like she put her WORTH in how she performed. I would say Elliana struggles with that kind of perfectionism as well. I hope they all grow out of it and develop real confidence. I know definitely has already.

      @@JordanJSparks I also have borderline personality disorder, so I did dialectal behavior therapy, which does a WORLD of good if someone practices it and works hard at it to make sure it works. (Trigger and content warning ahead for mental illness). At the age of 7 I tried suicide for the first time. When I was 18 I had so much more going on as well. At around 25 or 26 I began seeing a therapist for the first time, and she did dialectal behavior therapy AND psychotherapy with me one on one, also I take medications too. The combination of all these things are what helped. I am a burlesque performer, and I love being on stage. I have produced shows for charity for mental illness in the past. I have actually helped others with the DBT (dialectal behavior therapy) techniques I learned. I've known kids with anxiety issues, and DBT has helped them. (I also helped them talk to their parents too). My best friend's Mom was in extreme pain before her leg amputation, and DBT helped her think about something other than the pain. I highly recommend it to people.

Performing can be SO much pressure and a lot of it we put on ourselves, and people don't understand that.

    First off let me just say your eyes are spot on - nice job! I loved this video and your reaction to it. With Jill as a mom, it's a wonder that Kendall isn't twice as bad as she is! The first year that Kendall was on the team, Jill thought it was a good idea to bribe Abby with jewelry, personal massages, a bench dedicated to Abby etc. in order to get Kendall more solos and duets instead of getting her more privates so that she would improve. Because we all know with Abby, it's all about the win. You start winning, you get more special parts. Common sense Jill. I also agree with you about the panic attacks, like with Maddie, and also with Kendall after she saw how infuriated Abby got when she cried. I think Jill was just as responsible as Abby for Kendall's meltdowns. Jill is from the me, myself, l and mine mentality, and she brought alot of it on her own daughter because she simply cannot keep her mouth shut! Obviously Jill is not my favorite, l really feel sorry for Kendall. Ok. Rant over. Good video! 😆

    I think all the girls were brats at one point or another, BUT its definitely always because of the Moms and Abby. Recently, Chloe and a few others posted what their actual schedules were like and it was INSANE and unhealthy in my opinion to put kids through that. Then even as an adult having to deal w this level of crazy on the daily OMG Id be a mess. Its one thing to learn dance, but add in TV production, like when they had to stand for 3 HOURS for a stinking pyramid..Uhmmm NO lol.

    • @JordanJSparks

      I absolutely 100% agree! that's why I related to the show SO much!! So I applaud each and every single one of those girls for their courage, determination and strength.

    Jill was the biggest brat lol. My biggest issue with both Jill and Kendall was that they got on the team and they claimed every week that Kendall should have solos, duos, special parts, blah blah blah and always talked about how she earned her spot on the team and that should mean she earned all those privileges. Cut to ANY OTHER GIRL who joined the team or was a guest and they were constantly screaming how they shouldn't get solos because they had just joined and therefore hadn't earned them and how dare Abby feature the guest in the group number when Kendall is there. Not to mention begging for solos and special parts and then Jill always claiming Kendall was being set up to fail and trying to claim parts like Rosa Parks. Every week Abby either should have given Kendall something more or Abby gave Kendall too much. Jill screaming about how Kendall and the others need more technique practice and then screaming whenever Kendall is corrected. Wash, rinse, repeat the hypocrisy and finger pointing. Also, the way Kendall screamed in Ashlee's face was appalling. I know Ashlee was 300% in the wrong, but Jill constantly sat there and bashed Brynn even worse both to Ashlee and directly to Brynn so for Kendall to say "my mom doesn't do that" was so unkind to Brynn who had been verbally brutalized by Jill in previous weeks and then I understand emotion, but screaming in someone's face like that is not grown up, not mature, and not the way you should use your voice. It was Kendall's commentary on the incident that made me more mad than her actually yelling at Ashlee. Had she said "my feelings were very hurt. An adult should never say things like that to a kid and I was very angry" rather than (and I'm paraphrasing) "I am growing up and becoming more mature so now I have a voice and I'm going to use it," I probably would not find that moment so incredibly bratty and appalling. They were the worst duo because they always did that, they did and said the worst things, denied it, did something else hurtful, and then claimed they had been the bigger people in the situation.

Because Jill passed on Jess's message she started yipping as wanted to get uttof trouble. So all Ashlee said to try to shut Jill up was Brynn had better season then Kendall and that was a fact. I absolutely agree with you.....especially about that first one. That was not Maddie having a meltdown.....I have seen children have a meltdown (that second clip of Maddie when she's mad because Chloe won the scholarship to the ballet school over her is her having a meltdown)...this was not that. She was clearly having a full-blown panic attack because Abby and her mom had put SOO much pressure on this poor child to win and be the best and I think this is the only time I have ever seen her actually forgot her dance and she was terrified that Abby would be mad at her for blowing it. I have seen so many people say "I hate Maddie, she's such a brat, she's so arrogant". I always felt really bad for Maddie. How stressful must it be for a child of 9...10....11 years old to have THAT much pressure on her to be perfect and be expected to win every single pageant and be on top of the pyramid and have dance be EVERYTHING in her life. There were SEVERAL times in this series that I saw Abby put Maddie on the spot (even DURING a competition) and say "OK, these girl's aren't winning, you go out there without any time to prepare and dance and win this thing for me.....NOW". I would break too. Honestly, the MOTHERS and Abby had more meltdowns than the girls. A lot of the girl's "meltdowns" were actually panic attacks caused by stress and exhaustion.

    Also your right some of those scenes show panic attacks and stress on kids that in my opinion isnt something i ever want to see a kid dealing with 😟 Kids should have time to be just kids. I love dance Moms, but scenes like always really made me question if i was supporting a decent cause or not by watching. As you know, Abby is coming back and already said she wants to get back to doing her job "yelling" at kids....sigh. I dk how I truly feel toward Abby. I think karma came back to her sadly, but has she learned to grow? I just dont know...

      I totally agree. especially your thoughts on Abby. I hate to say it, because I don't wish any ill will on anyone, but I feel like Abby is a prime example of somebody getting bit in the A$$ by Karma, or God, HARD and STILL not taking the lesson. She does a lot for those kids but the narcissism seriously needs to be worked on

    I know this was a year ago but when I used to Dance I was in acro and I was only eight in my like second year of acro and I was in gymnastics and I could do a back handspring on a spring floor so my acro teacher told me I had to do a backhand spring for the recital and I was a quiet kid so I told her I didn’t think I could do it but she made me and I got really scared and I went for it and landed really badly on my wrists and I told her it hurt but she told me to suck it up and do a few more. I did a few more but this time I landed on my head and it hurt so I asked if I could go to the bathroom just to gather myself and she said no you aren’t gonna go in there and cry and act like a baby. I get really upset and anxious so I started having a panic attack and everyone was just watching me cry and my dance teacher was rolling her eyes. Let’s just say I quit dance and she was fired a few years later.....

    I hate when people say that kendall was a brat, she had severe like severe anxiety worse than ost people and the pressure and everything made it worse hence why we see her crying at almost everything. She was extrenmely sensetove as a child and the truama stuck with her to a teenageer on top of anxiety and thats why she crying screaming and everything. Her panic attacks were terrible and the show protrayed it as a brat or she wasnt gonna do it while she was having a loitteraly pani attack or she was so worked up

  • @giaanne4699
    @giaanne4699 5 лет назад +10

    Why are so many of these meltdowns from Maddie and Kendall? Kendall was VERY sensitive and Maddie was a “perfectionist” so when she made mistakes, she acted like a brat. I think that reflects on the mothers. I mean, Jill... Do I even have to explain? I think she was going through a midlife crisis for.. uh... a few years... And Melissa liked to get her child “ahead” all the time. Maddie got anxious because of the pressure Melissa put on her and Kendall got upset because her mother instigated. But regardless, they’re both really nice girls. I think my favorites had to be Paige and Chloe. They were just so sweet and humble. I think that (maybe this isn’t my place to say this but) Christi and Kelly seemed to care less about the fame, unlike Melissa and Jill, and they just cared about their daughter’s feelings and listened to them. That’s why they fought with Abby so much, because they didn’t care about “getting ahead.” They just wanted to protect their daughters. That’s just my take on it. ❤️😁

    • @JordanJSparks
      @JordanJSparks  5 лет назад +2

      Hmm. I agree with most of what you said except about the Mother's I would say you are right about Christi and Kelly caring about their daughters, but at the end of the Day, I think Christi WAS all about the fame. That's why she was SO triggered all the time. She liked to pretend she wasn't, but her bitter anger was usually fuelled because she felt entitled to Chloe having ALL of the same opportunities as Maddie, if not more. If anyone else got an opportunity, they were automatically on Christi's bad side. As For Jill, I think it's sort of the same story, I think she wanted fame for herself and lives Vicariously through her daughter. She made it very clear that she wasn't about trying to be #1, she was comfortable being #2 as long as it meant they got to be on TV longer lol. She's the one that I feel like actually wants fame for herself and not her daughter. As for Melissa, I think she wanted what's best for her daughters and would stop at NOTHING to get it. Same with Jessalyn. I don't think Melissa, Ashlee, Holly OR Kira really ever wanted to be on the show. They could care less about being famous themselves, they just wanted their daughters to have that chance to shine. Whereas, ESPECIALLY after Christi came back in season 7, she brought up her social media following SO many times, and had a TONNE of cosmetic work done and came back riding through the sunset on her High Horse with an Ego out the roof! So to me it was clear that Christi is ALL about the fame. She is ALSO the most active on Social Media and is totally into her following. That's just my two cents tho! lol

    • @giaanne4699
      @giaanne4699 5 лет назад +1

      Jordan Sparks First of all, thank you so much for replying! It means the world to me! I totally agree with you! Looking back, you’re right about Christi wanting fame for Chloe. The thing that made me start to dislike Melissa was her interviews and how she would admit that she thought Maddie was the best. Also, when it was her kids last competition, she was a total jerk to Ari’s mom about her brother with special needs coming because it wouldn’t be all about her kids. Also, in season one when the girls were auditioning for the music video, she said in her interview that it was obvious that Maddie would be the lead... That really annoyed me about her. Just things like that. But you’re so right. Christi was definitely in the wrong many times. I really enjoy watching your videos because you don’t pick favorites and side with them. Again, thank you for replying and I hope you have a sparkly day lol. 😂❤️

    • @JordanJSparks
      @JordanJSparks  5 лет назад +2

      Yeah it was obvious in the last season that she thought her kids MADE the entire show. Melissa even said she didn't think Mackenzie deserved her win! You're HER OWN MOTHER!

    • @JordanJSparks
      @JordanJSparks  5 лет назад +2

      I think Melissa just learned to keep her mouth shut faster than the others if she wanted the fame, and she took ALL the consequences that came with it, in order to get her kids ahead. I think by Season 7 she finally had enough and her true colors started to come out... and they weren't very pretty lol
