I actually loved Bully even tho everyone’s like “it’s so inappropriate” but I really like it and it’s really good and ppl are like “she only does hip hop now” but that’s not a bad thing
I personally just thought costumes that week where whack. And JoJo's outfit far more inappropriate then Mackenzie's she went out in an actual bra.yeah she had shorts and boxing gloves. How is green and top hat a bully. How is millionaire in boxig gloves and legit bra not even crop top or sports bra a bra bra. And Brynn's outfit didn't scream freak it screamed I rolled out of bed.and idk what was with song choices for Brynn and JoJo they didn't go with theme of dance.

The real hip hop is Asia and Maesi they are so good but Asia didn't do hip hop in ALDC she does it else where!!
Brynns good at hip hop aswell she was literally the star in most of the hip hop group dances

Yeah, That's how I feel when I dance hip hop lol. I am totally a technical dancer though so it's hard to let go lol . and YES every hip hop routine needs ballet at the barre LOL.

Lol, great Abby impression!!! My favorite was the one you showed of Kenzie, but also I loved the time they danced in L.A. outside against dance apples. Chloe really shocked me with how good she got with some moves. But Nia took the prize that day! I love Holly saying she didn't even know she could do that, lol.

@@JordanJSparks It's like when Kendall and JoJo were supposed to do that duet in season 5 or 6 and Abby was screaming at Kendall about how it wasn't even a duet because there was nowhere that they danced together in it, and meanwhile the audience at home is like, well whose fault is that? Then Kendall left the room and Jill came down on Abby for screaming at her, and Abby was all shocked like, I wasn't screaming at her. Um..... roll back the tape.

Yeah you can always tell when Abby's "fixed" someone else's coreagraphy. Beautiful bizzare is both beautiful and a mess. You can see Abby moments sprinkled in Travis's coreagraphy. It's one where you can see it easily.Rochelle aka sass in s3 told Abby to shove it and kept Mackenzie in and did last minute change to have Mackenzie shine almost as much as Paige
LOL that was my favorite. Sometimes people NEED to take the Sas route, especially with people like Abby!! If Abby is not in control and she's trying to take control, PUT HER IN HER PLACE AND SAY NO! lol

Lmao omg your comments about abby adding moves into other choreographers dances, so true! Also I could never get into ALDC's hip hop routines, too many jazz moves that dont belong in hip hop 😬😬. When I hear hip hop I think of Willdabeast and Matt Steffanina.
Ksmall 92 when I Think of Hip Hop, I think of all the REAL hip hop classes at my professional studio that I could never keep up with. Hip hop is FULL SAVAGE compared to this lol
Maesi was a really good dancer not gonna lie I just feel like she was kinda overrated
tbh I agree. I think that people are always like 'SO UNDERRATED' but she's actually pretty overrated. She's really flexible and a smooth dancer but I didn't really like any of her solos on dance moms and I don't think Abby should have kept her. She didn't really fit in with the other girls and her solos didn't do as well. Maesi has some really impressive tricks but I didn't really feel any emotion from her. Even if she doesn't have the strongest facials at least I can feel something from Kendall when she dances. I don't feel anything really when Maesi dances besides being impressive with her flexibility.
idk I just feel lik she didn't fit in well with the team and I would have brought back Daviana and kicked off Maesi if I were Abby but that's just me

Love you! If I had to be honest I feel like hip hop helped Maddie and Kenzie because Maddie was known for lyrical and she came out doing a style that no one knew she could do , same with Kenzie (but with acro)But I LOVE when Maesi does hip hop for some reason I feel like she was made for it!

I think Mackenzie just really gets into it with her hip hop and her singing too and isn’t just concentrating on technique and just letting loose a bit. I love that you can really tell she’s enjoying performing.
I thought bully was a bit sloppy and inappropriate , Brynn’s solo was my favorite when it comes to style and Maesi, hits the hardest. JoJo just does facials and a bunch of turns
What I see in Kenzie is Groove. She was the only dancer that had a Groove in Hip Hop which is the most important aspect in my opinion. That's what sets HipHop aside from Commercial Jazz or Jazz Funk

That 'splat' thing that Masei does makes me cringe, every time. Her hips are going to me screwed before she even reaches middle age and it just doesn't make sense in her choreography. Its not pleasant to watch?
The wackback. I do think she needs to stop putting it in every solo. Save it for a few special times, but don't continuously do it. I worry about her injuring herself too.
I cringe everytime, thinking about her wrists.

she has great facials, but I would have to say Mackenzie is hands down the best at hip hop
What I love about JoJo (one of many things) was that it really didn't matter if the technique was perfect or the hip hop was great.... she compelled you to watch. She was the best performer they ever had.

What is petite aleg row
It means ‘small jump’ essentially it’s the sequences in ballet that are fast and small . Think small sequences of sautés, échappé, glissades, assemblés, pas de chats, soubresauts, enchangements, etc
Do you know the part from the Swan Lake ballet where they are dancing in a line together on point ? (It’s the most well known section of any ballet by the public ) That’s a petite allegro section.
So think petite allegro -tiny jumps and hops, grand allegro - big explosive jumps like big sissones, grand jete, Sol de chat, etc . Hope this was helpful!

Everyone praised that solo Makenzie did but I actually think shes super over rated as a 'hip hop' dancer. It was just simply the fact she wasn't completely awkward doing anything other than a lyrical dance that blew everyone's mind, not the fact she is particularly great by any means. Now that the other girls have all branched out they have over taken any hip hop advantage she once had, especially in regards to Maddie and Kalani.
Also the costume was cringe worthy.

I loved Bully, but the costume takes away from it so much in my opinion. I found it distracting from her actual dance, the hat itself almost made it seem like a joke.

I find is crazy how they did so much lyrical and contemporary routines because that’s what they were good at. But now look at all of them, if you see them dance it is most likely hip hop, and they are all super good at it.

I love how Brynn dances hip-hop, she was the best for me in season 6-7 hip-hop group numbers (except for Boss Ladies maybe, Jojo just rocked it). She has a flow and I can feel her groove. The problem is that Abby can't choreograph a solid hip-hop routine, lol. Other choreographers do much better job with it.
Thought it was hilarious that Abby 1) expected Maesi to return after she was so awful to her the last time and 2) shaded her about having a boyfriend and “quitting dance” when she was still going to the same studio and conventions & dancing in LA with famous choreographers.
and Abby could never get a boyfriend in her life , she's just jealous 😂

That split splat thing is called a death drop. She does it about halfway as normally you would be completely on the ground at the end if one.
The “hip-hop” dances shown on Dance Moms were hardly hip-hop. They should’ve given the kids who were well versed in hip hop culture solos like Nicaya & Camryn.

I actually really enjoyed bully. You can tell she was having a great time. Although it was “inappropriate” that’s just kind of todays hip hop for girls. Besides Asia is allowed to go on stage and smack her butt without anyone caring... why can’t we support Kenzie. For all I care she can be a POLE DANCER and if she’s having a great time I won’t judge her 😂
JoJo's outfit was more inappropriate. Honestly the costumes where a mess but I never personally felt Kenzie's costume was inappropriate just weird for bully theme
