    Hello and thanks for sharing. Very informative. I have headaches all my life. Sometimes I feel the pain on the lower back of my head and neck pain and then got some shots from my neurologist at the sides of my head. Then one side of the pain stopped but I still have the the right side of the lower back of my head.

    I’m having these exact issues and I’m also fused C3-C6. The tightness clamps down and radiates forward over the top of the scalp and some light headnesd occurs if there’s a demand as if the blood flow is being restricted. Constant throbbing and popping and clicking which I could deal with if this tightness would go away. P/T didn’t help much. Cold and heat don’t really make it dissipate.. I’m wondering if PRP would solve this and release the muscle groups back there longterm

    I have had chronic pain at the back of my head from bottom to crown since last year when a car ploughed into my car from the back. Each timeI have been to my gps they say my blood pressure is high, each time increasing blood pressure meds. Thankfully blood pressure has come down but the discomfort is there however, it is more so when I lay down. It is driving me BONKERS as I feel something is wrong. I do have AS could that be contributory!

    I just found your video! I have BAD muscle pain in the back of my head as you stated😢 My neurologist has been giving me an injections every three months. One on each side of my head. I asked her to only give me one injection for where it hurts. She did as I asked but now after two weeks , I am in pain again.😢I have learned as of today two exercises for relief. No relief as of yet. I would appreciate any help😊

    Thank you for providing this video. I've had a lot of pain in the back of my head and upper neck that just won't go away and I've had it for months. Headache pills only dull the headache, but it never goes away. I think from what you said its a muscle headache as when I sometimes do crunches I have to watch my head as it pulls forward jerking it if I'm not careful. Would you recommend going to a physiotherapist? My wife also thinks I have bad posture.

    Hi Doctor, thank you so much for this video. For the past five months I have been experiencing a progressing level of pain in the back of my head. It’s now to the point where I can no longer lay on my back for any period of time or even lean my head back on a seat’s head rest. The pain I’m experiencing is a throbbing massive headache and an associated feeling of vertigo and nausea. It takes mere seconds for this headache and nausea to arise when anything presses against the back of my head. I had an X-ray performed by my doctor but he said the X-ray looked perfect. There was no sign of degeneration or disc abnormalities. I honestly cannot take this pain and nausea anymore. It has severely impacted my quality of life. My doctor has kind of thrown his hands up in the air and said he would order physical therapy for me if I wanted but I think it’s just to shit me up. He obviously doesn’t believe me when I express how horrible this condition is.
    Your video is the first that I have watched that seems to express exactly what I feel. Sadly I am in America or I would be coming to your clinic tomorrow. Would it be possible to suggest how I explain my condition to my doctor so that he takes it seriously? Are there any medical terms I should use when explaining it to him? Also, if my doctor were willing to refer me to a specialist would it likely be a neurologist? Lastly, and I’m so sorry to take up your time, what medical remedies would you suggest? I have a severe case. Would injecting nerve with steroid be warranted, even if just to determine if indeed it’s the nerve that is the culprit? Also, is there any type of pillow or platform on the market that would allow me to lay on my back while keeping pressure off the back of my head? Literally something like a bicycle helmet? I know it sounds ridiculous but any pressure results in excruciating pain and nausea.
    Thank you again Doctor. You are wonderful 🙏🏻❤

    • @originalfallinggirl
      @originalfallinggirl Год назад

      @@luzcruz7985 Unfortunately no but it got so bad one weekend that I had to go to the emergency room. So they took another X-ray and this time noticed degeneration of the discs in my neck. I’m really mad that the first radiologist didn’t even appear to look at the X-ray because the degeneration was even noticeable by the RN. And not to get off track but the first radiologist charged me $250 OVER MY INSURANCE which is always $20! In other words they scammed me and my insurance and didn’t even do their job.
      Ok, so the degeneration is not what’s directly causing the headache, vertigo and nausea. The orthopedic doctor (surgeon) believes that the degeneration is inflamed and adding pressure in a very tight area containing a bundle of nerves. Because these nerves act as a quasi thermostat and tell the brain if there is enough oxygen in your blood it gets incorrect measurements because the nerve isn’t responding when squeezed and is what causes the headaches, etc . . .
      Ok, so the first thing the doctor did was put me on a week’s course of either prednisone or cortisone (I get them mixed up). You start off taking 5 a day and on the last two days you take three. You’d think that there’s no way prednisone is going to be enough to dull the pain BUT IT WORKED AND THE PAIN WENT AWAY! BUT 😔, steroid pills are not a permanent solution. The doctor will prescribe them again but only maybe two or three times. Unfortunately these steroids have side effects, such as destroying the cartilage in your joints. Personally I don’t care. I just want this pain gone but the doctors do what the doctors do.
      So after the steroid pills I was prescribed physical therapy. [I thought I was going to have to workout or do boring stretches]. The physical therapy for this affliction is essentially an hour of WONDERFUL MASSAGING 😁. But, alas, while it feels absolutely wonderful it doesn’t work. I feel no different with or without the physical therapy. I’ve been trying to perform a lot of physical chores lately (gardening, home repair) and I think that slightly helps. But I’ve been installing an irrigation system in my yard and I’m so tired when I’m done each day that I go right to bed and don’t know if it’s helped or not. But I’m leaning toward it not helping because gardening is not going to reverse the degeneration in my neck.
      I’m a little sad because the doctor said that physical therapy was one of two proven remedies for this specific neck ailment. The other is SURGERY. And the only people I’ve met in my life who have had neck surgery are far worse off now than before. One of my friends had neck surgery for degeneration and now she can’t move her neck right or left. She has permanent pins or rods in her neck to prevent her from becoming paralyzed. And then I listened to that Dr. Death podcast about that horrible neck surgeon in Texas who turned people into quadriplegics who had very minor neck ailments. BUT I LIVE IN A BACKWARD STATE, SOUTH CAROLINA, WHERE THE DOCTORS PRACTICE MEDICINE 5 DAYS A WEEK AND THEN GO TO CHURCH AND HANDLE SERPENTS ON THE WEEKEND. And I get my BCBS on the SC exchange. So I MUST use an SC surgeon.
      I’m still researching. Keep in touch and I’ll let you know what I find out. I’m retired so all I have to do is research and I’m going to find a safe remedy.
      Cristina

    • @originalfallinggirl
      @originalfallinggirl Год назад

      @@Jay-uo1sn mine came on all of the sudden as well. It’s now been about 6 months. You must see an orthopedic specialist (NOT CHIROPRACTOR OR MASSEUSE) if you want to be taken seriously. I initially spoke with my family practitioner about it and I think he may have yawned at some point during my description of my symptoms. So he ordered an X-ray from his practice which is in a hospital. But he emailed me a few days later saying that the radiology report shows a very healthy neck and vertebrae. I was crushed - nothing worse than an illness that can’t be objectively verified (in such situations doctors assume EVERYONE is pill shopping - BUT I’M NARCOLEPTIC AND COULDN’T TAKE ANY PAIN PILLS EVEN IF THAT WERE MY INTENT). So a month or so of pure agony passed until one day I couldn’t bare the pain for another second and I phoned an orthopedic specialty practice that even has an orthopedic urgent care. BIG DIFFERENCE! Not only did they immediately understand what I was saying and had experienced the same condition thousands of times, they ordered another X-ray IN THEIR OFFICE. Wtf! They bring the X-ray back to the my examination room about 20 minutes later and SHOWED ME THAT I HAD SERIOUS DEGENERATION IN MY NECK! No competent orthopedic radiologist would ever deem my neck to be a “healthy neck.” I asked them how a board certified radiologist at a hospital could misdiagnose me and the nurse explained it all. Radiologists at hospitals merely glance at non life threatening images (if they do that much). They are looking for a freakin’ meat cleaver lodged in your neck. They could care less about degeneration or anything other than a massive bulging. The worst part is they bill you for their bullshit witchcraft.
      Anyway, go to an orthopedic specialist. It must be an MD. A chiropractor or masseuse will surely make things much worse.

I do have some sinuses issues so I only have to face up or switch sides whenever I’m sleeping and I struggle with pillows sometimes. If I remove the pillow and lye down pillowless, I will still have or experienced pain behind my left ear and around my neck😢😢😢. I can’t go out without having a paracetamol with me 😢😢

    I would like to talk to you Dr. I have a pain in the back of my head, feel like a very strong pressure, when was worse, I felt very bad tinnitus and also breathing issues, felt my throat was very dry and can’t breathe well. Felt my heart jumping out sometimes. And felt brain fog and I am not myself. I also get looks like acne all over my face in a same time, now less then before, but still have, and I never had in my life. I get a nerve block injection and Amitriptyline tablets also. I went for a blood test, that was normal, I went to have a hormone test, the testosterone was 0.29 nmol/l, so a little bit high. I went for eye test, pressure was fine, my eyesight was okay. Still having that pressure feeling in the back of my head and feel strange, but I don’t know what else I can do. Couple of days I feel like I have a bit of stiff neck, like when you sleep and wake up like that and hurt when I turn up and down, but not hurt when I look on the side. I went to a chiropractor before as well, doesn’t help much. Doctors gave me about 3 different antibiotics and creams for my headaches, but just got worse after that. I was though maybe similar to IIH symptoms, but my eye pressure was fine. What do you think? Thank you if you answer for me. Noemi

My Neurosurgeon said the headaches were from my neck.. After he operated -- I rarely got them again.. Fast forward 28 yrs.. I began having them again-- more spinal issues--then I remembered the horrible headaches which came with my spinal issue... I'm not a Dr. but both Neurosurgeon said the upper spine issue causing them again... I need surgery again... Hope you find answers.. Good luck.. Maybe have MRI.. of neck...
