Hello Coch ! I'm a US Navy black shoe veteran ( Operations Specialist 2nd Class ) . I believe that it's a good idea to always carry a cigarette lighter even if you don't smoke . BIC lighters are cheap and lightweight . I carry a Zippo in my pocket and have several BICs stashed around everywhere . I've lit my Zippo and used it as a small torch for lighting and to burn the end of cut Paracord closed . I keep a six foot length of Paracord around too as it is cheap , lightweight , and have a myriad of uses . A red or blue cotton bandana is nice to have folded in a pocket as a multitask piece of gear . A cheap lighter , a bandanna, and cheap Chinese Paracord knockoff can be bought for a few bucks at the dollar store .

Check out the kevlar/aramid type cordage. Much tougher, smaller and lighter. Not to mention fire resistant. A bit harder to seal the ends, can't do it with a lighter. I just tie a knot, but a dab of thin superglue is the best.

+1 on carrying a lighter. I wrap my BICs with a bunch of electrical tape and break off a little piece of a tooth pic to tape under the button to keep it "Locked" so It is always full and ready to go when I need it.

Yes CCW SAFE rocks!!!!!! I left uscca 3 years ago for them. I started doing research and found out with uscca if you are found guilty they require you to pay them back all the money they spent on your defense costs. Then they will not pay for your appeal and if you appeal and win a 2nd trial they don't pay for that either. CCW SAFE pays all of that and never requires you to pay them back no matter what the outcome is.

I ran an elevated threat EDC drill the day the Chinese spy balloon was over America. I had to run errands. So I envisioned a scenario where the spy balloon was actually an EMP device. I brought level 3A concealment armor, a 10.5" AR pistol, 4 mag bandoleer and 2 spare mags more than I would normally carry for my handgun, as well as my get home bag and all my normal edc equipment.

Hello Coch, I'm a US NAVY Airedale Veteran that has been had a CCW since the early 90s about 10 years before I joined the Navy since I enlisted after Sept 11, 2001. I was raised by a WWII, Korea, and Early Vietnam Combat Infantry Officer grandfather that believed in a 45acp ends 99.9% of issues and if does not put a couple of more rounds into the Target and Re-Assess the situation. That being said I returned to the wonderful state of Florida after 6 years due to a spinal cord injury that ended my Naval Career too soon. I'm a big fan of having the proper tool for the job so I carry a EDC very similar to your but with the addition of the Rule of two or three when ever possible:
    I normally carry:
Benchmade AFOII Auto Knife or Gerber Auto 06 for normal cutting tasks
Microtech Dirac Delta or Ultratech Double Edge Non-Serrated for Defensive Work
SIG P220 45acp w/8rd mag plus two 10rd mags all loaded with Underwood 185gr JHP +P MV 1200 FPS ME 592 Ft/Lbs Underwood uses Nosler projectiles for this load and they are design to Mushroom to almost twice the original diameter at this velocity while maintaining 95% Plus of its mass.
SIG P226 357Sig w/12rd mag plus two 15rd mags all loaded with Underwood 115 gr JHP MV 1550 FPS ME 614 Ft/Lbs Nosler Projectile
SIG P226 40SW w/12rd mag plus two 15rd mags all loaded with Underwood 135gr JHP MV 1400 FPS ME 588 Ft/Lbs Nosler Projectile
Glock Gen 4 G20 10mm w/15rd mag plus two 15rd mags all loaded with Underwood 135gr JHP MV 1600 FPS ME 768 Ft/Lbs Nosler Projectile same as the 40sw. Upgraded and 100% Reliable (KKM Match barrel, Trijicon HD Night Sights and 24 LBS ISMS Recoil Spring.)
I use a Olight PL-3 Valkyrie Rail Mount Light as weapon light
My EDC light is usually the Olight Arkfeld Flat Flashlight with Green Laser & White Light and the Warrior Mini 2 Compact EDC Tactical Flashlight
I also carry a Zippo lighter but I do not smoke.
    CRKT Tactical Pen
I carry 15 feet of US Made Para Cord in a para cord bracelet that a PR2 at my first command showed me how to make and it is great way to carry para cord that has millions of uses.
I carry the Underwood ammo because a neighbor that is also a LT with the Sheriff Dept SWAT Team told me that is the ammo that the SWAT Team uses.
I keep a fairly well stocked and complexed Trauma bag in my jeep since my wife was a EMT before moving down to Florida and meeting me.
The SOG Power Pint is an AWESOME little multi-tool that Punches Way above its weight class and I highly recommend it because I used to carry the Leatherman Wave but the Pint is half the size with more functional tools.
I always wear a Ballcap usually one with a Moral patch and I started to put items inside the patch between the Velcro and the Patch things like Survival kits from Readymantools.com after reading the 100 Deadly Skills by Clint Emerson. The Titanium credit card size that is pre-cut to have all sorts of items for emergency situation from fishing hooks to Lock picking tools.

Nice! I'm in agreement on the knife as to having a special 'meat cutting knife.' I have a knife every day because for work I have to cut boxes, tape etc, but cutting cardboard dulls your knife real quick so I have a separate small box cutter that someone gifted to me IN ADDITION to my 'steak cutter' in the even I need that and it is an appropriate size to be able to wield properly.

One thing I always carry that didn’t make your list is a few feet of 1” wide duck tape wrapped around a small bit of plastic with a short section of 550 cord to make it quicker to extract from my pocket. In addition to all its standard household value, it’s great for securing an improvised chest seal, as a pressure dressing or for closing wounds.

Good EDC stuff to know, thanks for keeping it simple. I just started wearing a light because someone told me their LE friend helped rescue people during earthquake in Oakland, CA in the 1990's. He said his flashlight was invaluable. I never thought about it until my friend told me. A light is also good for tactical reasons as well, shine 1000 lumens in their eyes and they will be occupied for a minute.
CCW Safe really does appear to have the best coverage. If you watch their video on defending the guy in court for murder you will see that they basically saved his life. He was getting railroaded by the DA.

The background of the story is the country side in the north-east of the Netherlands, somewhere in the 20's or 30's, when land workers were traveling from farm to farm to find work and earn some money. Here it is (I had to translate it from a dialact which is spoken in the north-east of the Netherlands and English is not my first language, so there will probably be spelling and grammar errors):
On the other side of the bridge over the ditch stood a dog, a Dobermann, snarling and barking. Through my 8 year old eyes it looked like a monster. "Come, walk on!", my father said and he stepped upon the bridge. I followed him, with my eyes closed. The dog snarled and growled even harder and slowly walked upon the bridge, towards us. He was ready to jump. I quickly closed my eyes again. Suddenly I heard a splash. I opened my eyes and was afraid that my father fell into the water. But he stood there on the bridge and I saw him closing his knife, his razor sharp Herder, and put it back into his pocket. Beneath, in the ditch I saw the dead dog drifting. The water around it got red.
Then I saw and heard the farmer, he was shouting and ran towards us. When he stood in front of my father he shouted: "What did you do with my dog?!" There was a moment of silence and then my father replied: "I'm here to get my salary for the past week." My father had worked the whole week at this farm to harvest potatoes. He continued: "And who thinks I will not get my earned salary, will also disappear in the ditch." My father had his eyes fixed on the farmer and the farmer turned pale. Then he turned and walked back to his farm. We followed him and in the kitchen my father got his salary. "There will be no work for you here anymore", the farmer said. I saw on the look of my fathers face that he didn't even want to work at this farm anymore.
When my father died forty years later, my brothers and sisters had to divide the things he left. I wanted only one thing: his last Friedrich Herder knife, which now lays on the bottom of a copper box

I was always taught not to pack gauze into the torso. Just to apply an ocd, use an NCD if needed, and medics do chest tubes. I think the gauze packing might be a little outdated, unless you know something more advanced.

Chances are they have most gun/light combo holsters you can think of! My nightstand gun is a G45 with a Holosun SCS, and an olight Baldr s mini/red laser combo and a 33rd Glock mag in it 🤣

I have a habit of asking people, including the celebrities that I loften meet, about their essential EDC.
I asked this question of my old boss, Lady Thatcher. She replied instantly. She always carried a torch,(a flashlight to you lot), in her handbag. She did so because when she was trapped in her hotel room after the Brighton Bombing, she was plunged into darkness.
That was never going to happen to her again.
Good advice which I have followed to this day.

Depends on the weapon and body type, as well as your style of dress. If you wear t-shirts that fit and jeans, and actually have some abs, it can be less concealed and less comfortable. Some also dont like the draw. CCW is a very personal thing, use what works for you.

One thing I carry that wasn't mentioned here is a non-lethal option - for me, that's pepper spray. I figure there are more likely times when I'll need something between going hands-on and going ballistic.

CCW Safe is perhaps one of the best post incident legal protection companies out there. It is way better than USCCA. Why? Because USCCA is an insurance company and like any insurance company they treat your case like a claim and they can drop your claim with no recurse. CCW Safe and other companies in the field are not incorporated legally as an insurance company. Do not be deceived by the “training” USCCA offer, which for the most part is garbage and get post incident legal protection by CCW Safe or other company but not from USCCA.

I remember only having my phone and my very minimalist wallet and my pocket folder, since getting into EDC omg feeling held down and it’s been an endless rabbit hole of upgrading and packs all sorts and sizes and the flashlight addiction like I admit I need help now😂 the evolution never ends and I can’t leave none at home because I rely on my edc now I find my self actually using a lot of my stuff even at work🤦🏻‍♂️ but the flashlights of lord and the CCW is kinda easy because I personally won’t go anything under a 9mm period, has to be smallest possible and as reliable as it gets so now the options start to really get small like a handful if that.
