    From Australia 🇦🇺 The same thing just happened to me!!! I just bought the 250 EXC 2024 on Friday, This morning I went out in the bush with friends, 3 minutes into the run the bike shuts itself off and I can’t get it started, and now I’m driving home in my van. What an embarrassment!!
    I topped it up with fuel and oil. I previously watched your video and told the KTM garage on Friday, prior to picking it up, to please make sure it starts ! and now it doesn’t! I pull out a brand new bike, my mates are drooling over it but my bike stops working and there older bikes don’t mis a beat! What a let down!

      Arran, you may check your spark plug. On the bike shown in the video Dave fowled a plug after changing the head and priming the oil pump. I'm guessing you bike had injected oil into the motor to prime.

      Hi mate, thanks for your quick reply! It has now been fixed! The fault was that the dealer forgot to fully deactivate that anti theft device! It allowed me to ride the bike for just a few minutes then it turned itself off leaving me pushing the bike up a dirt track back to my van.
      I think your video is great, and I reminded the garage to make sure the bike starts/ functions correctly after watching your video and still they failed. Both of our experiences are great reminders to your listeners to highlight this when picking up a new KTM, otherwise it may result in a delay to their day or in my case ruining a great day out but that’s life! 😩🙏🏻😝

    the 24s look great. I was debating on waiting for those to come in, but a dealer gave me $3K off regular price on a new 23 trying to get rid of the prior years and I couldn't pass on that. let's hit it, brrrrrpppp!

      I'm wanting a '24 pretty badly after riding a TM with fuel injection. That throttle response... 👌However, going to wait. Sales slowed down bigly this year. RMATV has had $3k off sticker price and the bikes sit there for months... complete opposite of early last year 😬

    Something to know anytime you buy a brand new KTM the bike will run extremely rich and you will have to adjust the idle and air fuel mixture. They are set this way to protect the engine from the factory.

    Picked mine up last Monday in KY, internal gear-box is definitely different the gearing seems fine. I'm running cr-high bend and cables are fine. There's 2 nuts on bottom of rear brake master cylinder, u can adjust pedal travel on both bikes. New engine lugs awesome, makes tons of traction.

    My 2023 Husqvarna TX 300 had that same starting/idling problem. The TPS voltage was set lower than what the manual specified, I ended up adjusting the TPS to manual specifification and adjusted the idle screw to idle at 1500-1600. Prior to adjusting the TPS i had the idle screw all the way and and it was still dying on idle.

    • @MechShark
      @MechShark Год назад +1

      Out of ignorance, did you check the voltage with a multimeter to verify that?

    Buy a motoes cone pipe, It's the best pipe made the most power out of all of them. And a motoe's pipe guard. Also a coober ECU, And a slaven's S3 medium compression head. Then you'll have a real bike perfect for hard and duro.
