Our names are Nick, John, and Courtney. We live in St George and Washington Utah and we love dirt biking! We love to explore the trails of Southern Utah. We already know the trails in our region but we want to discover and experience more!
The goal of our channel is to find new trails and share them with you! We'll categorize them as we go by difficulty so you can pick the trail that's best for you.
We created this RUclips channel to share what we know and ask you to do the same. We'd love to come to your area and see your favorite trails.

Debating Whether to Switch to 2-Stroke
Buy a motoes cone pipe, It's the best pipe made the most power out of all of them. And a motoe's pipe guard. Also a coober ECU, And a slaven's S3 medium compression head. Then you'll have a real bike perfect for hard and duro.
That gearshift is junk. buy a bulletproof shifter the end will snap off again to it.
Something to know anytime you buy a brand new KTM the bike will run extremely rich and you will have to adjust the idle and air fuel mixture. They are set this way to protect the engine from the factory.
Hi what year is the engine ?
1997 sir 😁
Slavens turned me onto your product. What position forward is most like the 2022 KTM 300 XCW? In the farthest position from the rider.
What part of AZ is this? Looks fun, nice riding!
Am in for next year.
I'll be there in the spring
Just ordered, now you need to make some lowering pegs for us
LET'S GOOOOOOO!
From Australia 🇦🇺 The same thing just happened to me!!! I just bought the 250 EXC 2024 on Friday, This morning I went out in the bush with friends, 3 minutes into the run the bike shuts itself off and I can’t get it started, and now I’m driving home in my van. What an embarrassment!! I topped it up with fuel and oil. I previously watched your video and told the KTM garage on Friday, prior to picking it up, to please make sure it starts ! and now it doesn’t! I pull out a brand new bike, my mates are drooling over it but my bike stops working and there older bikes don’t mis a beat! What a let down!
Arran, you may check your spark plug. On the bike shown in the video Dave fowled a plug after changing the head and priming the oil pump. I'm guessing you bike had injected oil into the motor to prime.
Hi mate, thanks for your quick reply! It has now been fixed! The fault was that the dealer forgot to fully deactivate that anti theft device! It allowed me to ride the bike for just a few minutes then it turned itself off leaving me pushing the bike up a dirt track back to my van. I think your video is great, and I reminded the garage to make sure the bike starts/ functions correctly after watching your video and still they failed. Both of our experiences are great reminders to your listeners to highlight this when picking up a new KTM, otherwise it may result in a delay to their day or in my case ruining a great day out but that’s life! 😩🙏🏻😝
You just fouled the plug
That was awesome ! You are a boss at engine assembly
A dude named courtney...wtf
I tried to go there for 20 years finally went with a group out of Maryland 2 years ago and had the fun of my life, wish I could find another group to go with again
Itching for my cr500 to be gone through screaming street supermotard
Sweet! Did you see my videos on my CR500 I'm building?
Can you hook me up on the stand a base pad I cant find it on your web site.
I'm not sure what you're referring to.. Can you please explain more?
You can resole some motorcycle boots but idk about those ones
Yeah I think you can, but they were pretty nasty. Looking back I wish I kept them for riding at the dunes or for when I know they'll be getting wet. Would have been nice to have a "burner" pair of boots.
@@DBT-Nick well I guess eventually you'll get another chance when the new ones wear out more
Are they fuel injected ?
Still Carburated
Hey, thanks for the video. Curious about the range your beta gets? Thanks.
Not actually that great....55 miles.
That kickstand is super annoying. KTM keeping the aftermarket business alive.
Haha well that's one way to look at it. Thanks Bryson
What year engine is this??
1997 but this video should cover CR500 engines from 1989 thru 2001
@@DBT-Nick I’m finishing up my 1987 engine tonight, water pump side and then top end
@@Brensta18 How'd did the motor finish out?
I live in Estrella mountains. How would I go about getting to this trail ?
Estrella mountains, Arizona?
@@DBT-Nick yes sir!
Im 6.1 and this high rise adapter is sweet riding standing legs straight and I'm not hunched over, just right. Thank you nice product fit like a glove. Oh and I see my display sitting. Thanks again.
I'm glad it worked well for you. Did you see the new Kickstand peg we just released? Just curious on what your thoughts are on it.
@@DBT-Nick Ok no tap got it thanks.
Hey what bar is that you have on that bike that looks like a high bend.
Dave usually has the Pro Taper Adventure bend
Hello, can you send to Portugal ?
Yes we sure can. So far we've sent to Poland, Sweden, Australia, Canada, and obviously United States.
Great job man 👍🏼
@9:20 is intermediate?
Do these alter the steering greatly with the 3/4(19mm) forward measurement, Im assuming that is with the original headset in the original position not spinning it to bring it forward 10mm. (original headset has 2 settings). Any feedback on these would be great
Your assumption is correct. The riser moves the mount hole 3/4" forward. You can still choose to set your bar clamps with that extra offset you spoke of by flipping them around. As far as the steering goes, I personally cannot detect any difference. I'm sure there are guys who could, but if you're a bigger guy, the benefits are going to outweigh any negative.
I just asked an experienced trail and motocross rider and he said the following... "I'm sure it affects the steering slightly. Nothing that your average rider is going to notice. "But for motocross, I'm sure you could tell a difference with the way the bike corners. With trail riding that doesn't matter though."
You’ll hear people say risers affect handling etc blah blah. Captain obvious could tell us that large variations in rider sizes and weights would have a much greater impact on handling than a slight change in bar position. Unfortunately some of us don’t fall into the cute little 5’8 65 kg package!
How tall are you, the person in the video?
Dave is 6' 3" tall
Nice
Thanks!
I live in Northern Utah. Can you help put me in touch with Josh. I have a CR500 that needs a rebuild.
What questions do you have or what do you need help with?
After watching your videos I am not sure I want to go through with the complete rebuild. Wondering if Josh would like to make it happen?
Are you thinking of having Josh rebuild your motor for you?
yes
I just asked him about it. I'll tell you what he says.
Is there another name for this trail or was it renamed? I cant find it anywhere. I’ve been up riding by kents canyon in malad and I’m interested in doing this trail
I've always loaded the left center case . Interesting. Nonetheless really good job sir
I'm definitely open minded to doing things differently next time. A lot of people have given good suggestions. Thanks!
Hi, great video series. I am following it to jog my memory as to where things go. Quick question, at 1:10 you've written numbers on the inside of the cases in blue pen; do these numbers correspond with the part # indexes on Honda's parts diagram?
Oh I forgot about that. You know, I am not sure without checking. That could very well be the case. It could reference the part number or maybe what item number as listed on the diagram, as you say. Why do you ask?
All your links are bad and no GPX file
Super cool
Haha I saved one from being run over a couple weeks ago.
Besides freezing the bearings for installation in the casings I have never had a problem mating the two halves back together, but nice job and good luck , take your time with break in.
Yeah I don't know for sure why the cases fought me but I think it was the crank on the crank bearing. For peace of mind I got the Tusk crank puller the next day and made sure it was all the way in.
We're heading there in April, thanks for the great video!
Are ya'll going to be doing anything for the Sherco
Yes eventually my man. 🤘
Parts are back in stock!!!!!
Thanks for letting me know Dave 🤣
Where
Trailname
Warner Ridge in Warner Valley
What’s the secondary grips setup on that Honda 🤔
So back then I used to let my little boys ride on the bike with me, and I built that second set of bars for them to hang on to . I've got a video about that if you're interested
Fun!
Awesome!!!
Looks like a blast! That hill climb looks gnarly. How do you sink up the Sena audio to the GoPro’s?
So the Sena and GoPros are actually seperate. The audio you're hearing in the videos is from the GoPros and then I I sync the audios in the video editing software.
I’ve got a pretty gnarly red mountain trail in eastern Utah. There’s a video on my channel titled “Easter Weekend 2022” if you’re interested in it
i'm in mesquite. similar terrain types with extra sand i think. do you have tire recommendations?
Shinko 525 good for sand
