People give this coaster far too much hate. You don't have to hate every ride that doesn't meet modern quality of design - just enjoy the speed and the height and appreciate it for it's history.
Rode this multiple times back in '99 on a hot summer's day and it absolutely flew through the first section of the ride. I don't remember the mid-course trims being that tight but what a beauty this ride is. Those diving turns/drops are glorious and I think this is Arrow's best hyper. Good to see the old gal can still turn heads.
Beautiful view as well as a great coaster. Flying like an eagle over the sea! Nice!! I can hear the song by the Steve Miller band fly like an eagle to the Sea playing in the background lol
@@yourexperienceguide Huh, the sources I looked at online say that it isn't still sponsored by pepsi. You're Pleasure Beach Experience though so I trust you more haha Wikipedia: "The ride maintained its sponsorship from Pepsi Max until 2011 when the branding was removed from the ride." Coasterpedia: "The ride was formerly sponsored by Pepsi, during which time it was called Pepsi Max Big One." (For reference I don't mean to start an argument or anything, I'm just confused if anything. I love your channel as well by the way :D)
1994 I was 10 and went on with my dad and as we where going up the hill I was small but scare look over lol my dad says " just keeps going and going" when he says that I'm.... 🫣🤢 Lol but love it and especially night time ride is phenomenal the cold air hitting you in face with smell of water it's just superb night not be tallest anymore in UK but I hold very close to my heart and can't wait to see what Blackpool do next? Good old days getting in for free to look around would be start if Amanda wants to get this park moving again
I was thinking the same thing! Like, it looks like it was designed to avoid airtime! I haven't ridden it so I don't know, but it looks so force-less after that first drop.
This is probably the worst hyper coaster to exist. Unless Desperado reopens, and idk, Desperado might actually have airtime in some spots. 🤷♂️ Big One is an oversized monorail designed to hurt you as much as possible. I’m so glad that the UK now has an actually good airtime filled hyper.
@KHCoasterKid it does have a few pops of airtime but the real fun is strapping in to something that feels like a huge fast rough machine. just because it's not an experience everyone can enjoy doesn't mean it's bad 🤘

yes agreed
I definitely agree, yes it is a little rattly but this in one of the uks best
I remember going on this when it opened. Pretty tame nowadays but it's good to see something local on the channel 👍
Appreciate it, thank you! I couldn’t imagine riding this opening year, how cool! -Scott

The view is insane
Right? Spectacular view! -Scott
train just crawling over those hills.
It was an empty, early morning, cold day train. Not its best! -Scott
I loved this video!
Thank you! 🙏-Scott
Wow 🤩
That’s a steep first drop for a scenic railway innit
World's tallest mine train coaster lmao
@@jasonhook3884 fun fact: Arrow hyper trains are literally based on their mine train vehicles
Tallest and fastest monorail.Even the drop is slow.
@@andrewbarrett42I agreed until you said the drop was slow
@@thrillseekers_united It is in the front cart.No way it does 85mph.This coaster is one big pile of shite and it needs scrapping.
Looks fun
is the tunnel still themed as a Pepsi can?
The ride is still sponsored by Pepsi
@@loganmcgrew2822 oh ok
@@loganmcgrew2822 The sponsorship was ended in 2011!! They just kept the can for fun

The UKs tallest coaster is under 237 feet or 111 "meters"
Hyperias 236 feet and that's still less than 237 feet lol
wheres the bit where it takes ur photo
At 2:30
@@yourexperienceguide too late i went on it
cool
Should’ve gotten a b&m 😜
So many shallow hills

@@MysTaeryColorful I can confirm it is pretty forceless, not much airtime on any of those hills!! It's worth it for the view though!!
Oversize mine train.
No airtime whatsoever
what?! you get tons of airtime! i literally get thrown up in my seat in some sections
Why would parks just let Arrow do whatever they wanted 😂

Only enthusiasts are obsessed with airtime, a lot of people just like going fast!

Weird take, it wasn’t designed to hurt people 😮
Ridden both lots of times,Desperado is way better and has more drops. This thing is just a monorail.
calm down it was the second hyper ever
It’s not that fast and the drop is not even that scary and fast
Ooh, we got someone here who thinks they're all that because they commented this ☠️
