Shipbreaker you can also find on Atlantis
My favorite so far is the narwhal, it's truly a beast. It has a really strong hull. Shield breaker was my favorite class 2.

The Stronghold with an engine and weapon upgrade got me through Legacy’s End. Hard to beat unless you DIY your own.
I just got the Mantis ship. It's pretty awesome ship that comes with a reputation that actually causes Spacers to flee (sometimes) when you enter a system. It's free, but you need to complete a fairly challenging quest line. With guides it might not be to bad, but I stumbled upon the quest, and didn't know I got the Mantis ship and armor set until I got to the end and saw the ship sitting there. It was a jaw on floor moment for me. : P
A bit wrong, mantis is the suit the ship is a normal ship you find find randomly in different areas.

When you are flying in the ship and warp into a system with Spacers waiting to attack you (randomly, not every time) you will here the Spacers say over the radio comms, "Wait, is that the Mantis ship? Another Spacer, "Nah, that ain't the Mantis." Then they scan the ship. "It is the Mantis! We're sorry, we're leaving. We didn't mean any harm! Let's get out of here!" And they warp away. When you do the quest, and read the notes stored in the computer in the bedroom at the end, you learn the story of the previous "owner" of Mantis ship and how each owner finds and selects the next owner when their time of flying it comes to an end. If you did the quest. A. maybe you have not flown it yet, and B. maybe you rushed through and missed the whole story/lore behind the ship. Bummer. Maybe do it again. @@Angelo-Diabolus
@@Angelo-DiabolusSuper incorrect. I mean, yes, the armor is called Mantis, but the ship, Razorleaf, is unique. The NPCs react to the ship, not the armor, because I tossed the armor early, but still have the ship.
Also, weirdly, they still recognize the ship, even though it's 95 percent new parts at this point.

The Shieldbreaker is sold at the landing pad in New Atlantis so you don't have to be Crimson Fleet to buy it.
My favourite ship thus far is the Stroud-Ecklund Kepler R. It was a ship that came to be by you having the designers at Stround-Ecklund's shipyard just go nuts and build the biggest and most versatile ship that they could come up with.
It's class-C, has over 3800 cargo, ballistic and laser cannons (I added missiles) and it takes THREE Starborn Guardians to take its shields down (because it's Stroud-Ecklund and they excel in shielding).
Best of all, it's FREE! After you convince the engineers and designers at Stroud-Ecklund to build the thing, Walter Stroud gifts you one of the first built! You just can't beat that!

What are your thoughts on the Abyss Trekker? Its a class C that can have a bunch of addons added to it. I am trying to figure out how I want to remodel the whole thing because it's not the greatest as far as looks go lol.
If you don't like the looks, why fly it? It's fairly easy to recreate that level of fire power.

I assume you are talking about only ships you can buy? Because the Star Eagle is far and away the best class A ship you can get. You can probably build a slightly better one if you have Rank 4 in starship design but you don't need any skills to benefit from the SE. Most of its components are rank 3 or 4. Plus it has over 2k cargo space for a fast and nimble class A ship.
Highly debatable SE falls off on combat and shields but to each their own I guess.
I had a Claymore III land on the first planet after NG+++. I've added 2 cannons that I fire and it doesn't need anything else changing! Saved me hours of building my own and it's the only ship you need

Yeah. I capped a Crimson Fleet Ghost and am in the process of piecemeal upgrading it.
Shipyard ships are just convenient packages if you're not into the custom rig scene. Nothing wrong with getting one but I love the ship builder a lot.
My favorite is the Narwhal. It's a Taiyo ship class C ship with decent shielding storage and comes stock with auto turrets.
The neon ship services building is only showing 4 ships for me. How do I get the Vista to show up?

Stronghold in Akila is the best premade ship imo. You can improve it even further once you have the credits. Add an extra engine or two, upgrade the reactor, grav drive, and shield. Then change weapons to what you prefer. Expand cargo as needed. You don't need more than 50 mobility when you can just run right into the enemy and everything just dies before your shields are even down. It's a beast.
Only challenging fights so far have been the three legendary ships becuase one of them has like 3000 shield/ hull plus has some decent level escorts. Though I defeated all of them with the default Stronghold. Upgraded, these guys would have been no challenge.
Edit: My main complaint is the overall layout of habs and landing gear. So many ladders. There's also some random pillars right in the middle of your screen when piloting. Those had to go. The grey and yellow paint scheme is pretty boring. It's had a bit of an overhaul now, but I kept with the original design (the 4 huge fuel tanks and cargo all up front for example).
I'm surprised the ecliptic bayonet didn't make the list as it's an absolute beast

I’ve had the mantis ship I switched to the stronghold she’s a very powerful ship wat I advise you do is put two other engines on the back that makes her a lot faster

Why noone talking about shieldbreaker?I have it with over 8000 cargo space and it kills anything that comes close to me + is just an allround good ship for everything

The ship you can get from freestar quest when you get ambushed in space. Its the level 32 "The First something" one you can board and take type B is one the best looking and has all starship design rank 3+ engines and shields and components even the weapons is the best I've found and only had to replace the structure frame parts on bottom with cargo space and that fixed its weakness and didn't change its awesome look or add much weight or Hull. I think people sleep on stealing ships because they don't actually look at the components as most have unavailable unless you leveled bits on them and are better than most bought ships with very few adjustments. Also take parts from these ships and they sometimes enter the ship guys inventory and you can add them to other ships to frankenstein particular parts

So, never got hold of a Claymore II or Claymore III?
I took one that landed nearby, and it came with over 2k of cargo and had 3 auto particle beam weapons that smoked the closest enemy ship in a few seconds, then moved on to the next and the next.
I like my Stroud Eklund freebie Kepler R. It is doooope. Also, you REALLY sound like Jake Baldino from Gameranks.
The Narwal is the best i've found so far for me. Super Strong Hull it' s a Tank.
WHat about building your own ships or , do you base a build off one of the main types here ?

do i have to be on ng+ or at a certain point of the main quest to unlock the renagade III?? (i can pilot class c ships but i cant even find the crimson fleet one)
I've read somewhere that ship vendors are either A) random per playthrough/restock every 48 hours like other vendors or B) You have to hit a certain level for them to sell certain things, I can't find the Renegade either and im in NG+
You’re probably playing on normal difficulty. You get better gear on higher difficulty, more money also
@@skullleader007 This works for Items, not sure about ships, I just hit level 60 and all the ship vendors have changed to upgraded versions so I think the vendors are level based

Crimson Wights can also be pirated… I have 3 , one is a II.. they don’t have to be purchased… I haven’t found a 3 yet

I think the best ship is the one you build yourself, when i received the mantis razorleaf i just edited it and upgraded all stats to make the best ship i could have lol, its just funny to me when spacers recognize the ship and fly away out of fear 😂
I'm sort of in awe at some of these picks. Out of all of the A class ships you could choose from, you chose those. Also, the crimson wight 3 isnt a ship unique to the crimson fleet. It's actually called the crossbow and can be found elsewhere. Can't remember where exactly but I'd say Nova or Stroud.

What level do you have to be for the renegade 3 to show up? I didn’t see it in neon so I went to every ship service except the crimson fleet one and none of them have it
They might be bit randomized. I found shieldbreaker for sale on cydonia. Try sleeping for 48h should rested vendors stock. Not 100% sure if it works with ship dealers tho.

Not sure your A B and C class part is correct. I believe that just stands for how advanced the parts are. Ship parts come in A B and C depending how good they are and the ship class follows this. To my understanding.

People buy ships in Starfield? I just steal them when they land on planets and then refit them as necessary.
That's not what the ship classes mean.
If you look under starships in the help menu that’s exactly how they have them set.
The wight is the same as the hyena. Which you can just find landing somewhere and take it

Class C ships are chonky. If you don't like it, you can check out Class A or B ships

Totally disagree with all, the coyote 3, stormrider 3, longsword 3 are the best, voyager 3 and many more
I have 10 best ships all in top C category , all stollen by me and all upgraded by me, each has storage way bigger than 10 k and nothing cant pass me, I even destroyed whole crimson fleet which was waiting for me outside Key space station after I kill everyone in station in cold blood haha.
