Yeah, Dennis Farina sucked. He’s not Robert Stack!!! And these episodes are spooky as hell. I try not to watch them at night alone, lol. Fuck it. My life now has meaning since these were put back on RUclips, lol. I’m just starting this episode. I’m downstairs at 2:00... as soon as I get done eating I’m running upstairs, lol.
@@computerpink9018 I don't think dennis farina did that bad I mean come on like you said who is gunna be better than Robert stack, they still freak me out, these ones ,its so great because theres lots of us that have wanted these for years, enjoy watching ; ]
Lock the windows and close the blinds too. And check every room in the house including all closets and cupboards large enough for an intruder to hide..
i know right that's exactly what i was thinking when they had that episode of those 2 folks who were looking for that Soldier in season 1 and all of them were ages from the late 40's at the time to my guess maybe the 70's? how in (2023) all 3 of them may now be passed on is quite said i think.
It always gets me when they do an update segment saying someone was apprehended, then it says like "They have since been released after serving a 30 year sentence"
@@nno6646 I know and I can't be mad about it if they did 30 years since they did do their time. It just feels weird that the 1st season the special anyway aired way back in (1987) the fact That is 36 years ago blows my fucking mind. I turn 9 that year I do not feel like I'm turning 45 next month at all
I'm so Happy Frances Murphy made a beautiful successful life with the childhood he had and the love that was never given to him! I'm so Glad and Thankful
The bosses for Dale clearly hate him and Im betting now (if they're alive) they regret blaming him. He was murdered by robbers and it's obvious. You don't walk away from your home life and family just because you're merely upset with your pay cut, especially at that age.
But it's not "obvious". He was, most likely, involved. The fact that the surveillance footage was left, in order to make it look like a robbery, is proof. The robbers clearly knew the building. Which means they knew there were cameras. Why would they not erase the footage to give the appearance that Dale did it? That makes no sense. It was obviously a show for the cameras.
I disagree. I've been watching true crime for a long time now and stranger things have happened. There's been many times a case may seem obvious but you get an update and it's mind blowing. Or for example the ppl that mysteriously disappear without a trace.. everyone will say "they would never have left their kids behind" and low and behold that's exactly what happened.
@@Hexighost when my dad daied in 2011 my own aunts and uncles stripped out the copper tubing and siding in his house, he wasnt even passed a month and the only reason they were in the house is because they offered to help us clean out the house and pack up his things and some of mine and my sisters things. my mom and sister go to the house few days later and see walls destroyed and copper ripped out of everywhere they could find it, and siding on the house ripped off as well. it made us physically sick to see especially since we couldnt afford to renovate all the damage. luckily the neighbor has been wanting to buy the house for years and we were able to pay off some of the funeral expenses and bills we needed to pay. but yeah copper even in 2011 had high street value
Jay and Tania: Solved. In 1990, police located the camera lens that belonged to Tanya's missing camera at a pawn shop in Portland, Oregon. However, the lens had originally come from another shop that did not have records from the time it was originally brought in. As a result, police were unable to determine who originally brought the lens into the shop. Several possible suspects were questioned in the case over the years, including serial killers Robert Yates and Charles Sinclair. Both were active in the Seattle area in 1987. However, DNA evidence from the crime scene cleared them of any involvement. The DNA profile also did not match anyone in police databases. DNA testing later determined that the evidence found at the crime scene did not match DNA recovered from the greeting cards. In August 2010, Victoria cold-case detectives finally identified the person responsible for sending the cards thanks to tips from viewers of a local TV show, "Washington's Most Wanted." The author was a Canadian citizen who was in his seventies at the time of his identification; he also had severe mental issues. He readily admitted that he was the author. Police interviewed him for several hours and determined he had nothing to do with the murders; he had heard about the story in the news. Because of the statute of limitations, he was not charged in regards to the cards. In April 2018, Snohomish County investigators released a Parabon DNA Snapshot composite of the killer that was created based on the DNA evidence. Composites were made of the killer at ages twenty-five, forty-five, and sixty-five. As a result of the Parabon analysis, it was believed that the killer was a Caucasian male of European descent, with hazel or green eyes, fair skin, possible freckles, and possible male-pattern baldness. Finally, on May 18, 2018, fifty-five-year-old William Earl Talbott II was arrested in Seattle after his DNA was matched to semen found on Tanya's body and pants found in the van. His DNA was also found on a zip tie in the van. Furthermore, a palm print found on the back door of the van was also matched to him. When the murders were committed, he was twenty-four and living with his parents in Woodinville, just seven miles from where Jay's body was found. Two years before the murders, he was convicted of misdemeanor assault. The arrest was made thanks to genetic genealogy done by Parabon NanoLabs. They uploaded the crime scene DNA profile to GEDMatch and identified second cousins of the killer. Through this, they were able to create a family tree, which led them to Talbott's parents. They then tracked him down and were able to retrieve a sample of his DNA from a discarded cup. This same technique was used to identify the Original Night Stalker. Talbott was initially charged only with first-degree murder in Tanya's case. However, in June 2018, he was also charged with first-degree murder in Jay's case. He pleaded not guilty at a preliminary hearing. Investigators asked for anyone who knew Talbott around the time of the murders to come forward. Several of his former friends contacted police; they noted that Talbott had worked as a delivery driver in 1987. They confirmed that the route he took for his deliveries at the time matched the couple's travel plans. Talbott's former roommate told police that he had seen a blue blanket in Talbott's home and car. This blanket was similar to the one found on Jay's body. The roommate also noted that Talbott had a tumultuous relationship with family members (breaking his sister's arm on one occasion), was involved in drugs, and had personality changes when he drank alcohol. He also recalled seeing a bronze van outside of Talbott's home on a misty day in Fall 1987. Finally, he recalled that Talbott had taken him to the same general area where Jay's body was later found. In June 2019, Talbott went on trial for Jay and Tanya's murders. His defense claimed that he and Tanya had consensual sex and that the couple were killed by someone else. However, prosecutors noted that it would not make sense for Tanya to have sex with Talbott since she was with her boyfriend, was in a foreign country, and was on her menstrual period. On June 28, he was convicted of both murders. On July 24, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. On December 8, 2021, Talbott successfully had his murder conviction overturned because of juror bias; one of the jurors on the case stated during jury selection that she was not sure if she could be impartial because of domestic abuse in her family. The court stated that they were not sure that the juror was completely free of bias when she made her decision in the case. The court decision is currently being appealed by prosecutors. Sadly, Tanya's father William passed away on May 14, 1997, at the age of sixty-one, without seeing her case solved. Her mother, Jean, passed away on March 3, 2020, at the age of eighty-seven.
Yeah i would like to see Robert Stack host some more modern episodes. Too bad he passed away when he did. (right when I typed that, Robert stack said "Sadly he died" See the synchronicity there? I still always watched it with Dennis Farina, but youre right its not the same, but unsolved mysteries is better than no unsolved mysteries is the way I looked at it! I like the UFO files. They did a good job with that collection.
One of the things I liked best about UM was that they always made sure to tell the viewer what was real footage and what was re-created. That kind of transparency is missing somewhat these days. This was a top-notch television program and I feel so fortunate to have seen them as first-run shows when I was a teenager and young'un in my 20s. They don't make them like this anymore and probably never will again.
But shouldn't it be obvious that these reenactments aren't real? If they show a scene of Lincoln's assassination are you gonna assume they had cameras in 1865 if it weren't for that disclaimer?
I was around 8 when this season aired and I remember fondly watching these with my grandmother. It's interesting to think that back then, being so inexperienced with life, the mysteries portrayed in these episodes seemed so limitless. Now, after going back and watching the episodes as an adult, it's great to see that (despite the ones that have been solved) they still manage to be unexplainable in some instances. This really was a great show! I also agree that we won't ever see television like this again.
Unless it's a highly *intelligent* smoker that buys two cartons - one to take with him and one to leave behind to make it look like he's really dead! But I'm just conjecturing... :-O :-) And remember - for smokers, in the 80's a carton of cigarettes wasn't nearly as insanely priced as it is now. The rising cost has definitely WAYYYY outpaced inflation!! X-O

One thumbs down and you assume they hate life? How about...they have an opinion DIFFERENT than yours. Uh, is that OKAY with YOU???? Apparently, not. Why don't YOU get a life and quit worrying about everybody elses.
why do they never mention that the robber clearly has something held against dales back most likely a gun, it's coercion obviously and maybe dale tried to escape or something and was killed, it's sad that people at the plant were so quick to throw this man under the bus
i absolutely agree, its nowhere men tioned yet its obvious that man held a knife or a gun to his back and im sure he looked into the camera in hope that someone will see it and help him
I'm old enough to remember watching the re-runs of old UM cases on Lifetime. I always doubted Kerstetter was involved from the info provided in this segment and the different articles I read. I think not taking his cigarettes is a pretty big clue honestly.
if he was in on it they would of tied him up or something. he just wouldn’t disappear never to be seen. they make him out to be overly cocky. If there we’re only 3 cameras to avoid, he wouldn’t walk and stare directly into them. he got abducted imo and who knows?
@@mikesharon2177 You have to sell the platinum first to get the money to get cigarettes, or do you think anyone can go into the store and plop an ingot of platinum and say, "I'll have a carton of winstons."
The fact that the dog only found Dale's scent ending at the tank shows that Dale was forced to do what he did... and that Dale most likely was threatened. Also, I highly suspect both it was an inside job.. and Dale was murdered and he was signalling for help in the look in the camera. Patrick Foley either has/had an issue with Dale.. or he had something to do with the theft himself. The fact the cops suspect that he was murdered over as part of the robbery, and that he had assets he could have dealt with his debts screams that he is innocent.
The police had a tip that he was killed and his body was thrown down a local well. As i understand it theres lots of wells and some of them are sealed so he will never be found
Robert Stack treats everything the same tone of complete objectivity, and that makes even the least impactful of stories better than they’d otherwise be in the hands of another host!
The music and Robert Stacks voice talking about unsolved murders used to scare the shit out of me when I was a kid watching this with my parents. I believe I was 7 the first time I saw it. The music gave me nightmares but watching as an adult I'm kind of reliving some of my childhood through these episodes and the music is still creepy
They actually released the real footage from the Platinum heist recently, it's pretty grainy and hard to make out which is why they had to re-create them.
I rode the Bremerton ferrys off and on for most of my life. Erie seeing it here on this show. I can confirm they did film on a Bremerton ferry. I know that look any day.
If they had made the connection that would have taken them to the Bainbridge Island ferry, at the time called Winslow, they may never had met the assailant.
Me too! I'm from Bremerton so it's weird to see my hometown on Unsolved Mysteries. I recognized the look of the old ferries when I was a kid. So happy Jay and Tanya's murders were solved.
My theory on Dale is that he didnt initially have anything to do with the robbery. It seems like he was a really nice and helpful man and he just went all out helping the robber and in the long run it ended up making him look bad. The robber used him for his knowledge, help and then was ultimately murdered. It sucks it awful and hopefully I'm wrong.
I wonder how hard they looked for his body. If he was murdered I am surprised the murderer has never been found. I guess the platinum stealing business is very underground and secretive.
The Francis Murphy orphanage story is really sad. So sad he grew up in various orphanages and foster homes and never got adopted. Also very sad that shortly after getting interviewed for his story he died. It doesn't appear that his sister was ever found and his wife died awhile back too. I am glad he got to share his story right before he died just really sad nothing came of it.
I think that whole orphan train thing was horrible, especially to separate siblings and not let them contact each other or keep records. I imagine there were kids taken into homes where they were treated like slaves, possibly abused.
The Ghost Lights of Marfa story scared me when I was little. I was afraid that I would see them in front of my window and that they were something sinister as I tried to sleep at night and thinking of them, I then couldn't sleep even though I live on the other side of the world. UM could do that to anyone. The sense of mystery surrounding them has always made them ever more fascinating.
I see stuff like that where I live in lake montezuma, curious to hike as close as I can get someday but it's pretty scary out here in some places might pass

DALE is an OBVIOUS victim. Come on Unsolved.....This is no mystery at all. Who came up with the cockymania theory that Dale was involved in this robbery? He looked right at the camera in serious fear, trying to let them know something was very wrong. And clearly that was his body being wheeled out on that cart. As he was no longer seen on camera after that. How is it even possible he was involved? That's not to say that there wasnt another exit. But it just is obvious by the cameras that he was not involved in any way. if he was to flaunt hmself being in on it, he would have made sure the camera saw HIM walking out with the cart full of plantium. NOT the robber
"But it just is obvious by the cameras that he was not involved in any way." -- I happen to believe he wasn't involved, but I just wanted to point out that what was shown on the episode was just a recreation of the video footage, _not_ the actual video footage.
I don't know i thought about it how many robbers gonna remove a body Or take a hostage. They probably would've just shot him there and left him. He probably was in on it.
I thought the video footage seemed like the robber had one arm behind Dale's back, as if a gun was being pushed against him to force his cooperation with the robbery. Dale's knowledge of the facility would've been very useful to the robber, hence why he wasn't just shot on sight and left there.

Poor Dale. He is clearly sitting down for lunch and confronts intruders. The intruders are folks that got laid off and knew the plant and likely knew Dale. Masked man clearly has a gun in his back, and Dale looks at the camera like “please help me.” His truck and effects are all still there, and his family never heard from him again. Dale was obviously murdered, yet the company blames him for his own murder.
For Pete’s sake, if Dale was taking the platinum for himself, he’d have left the planet in his freaking truck! It’s blatantly obvious Dale was murdered. Especially still being gone (dead) these 40+ years later.
The people saying the video footage from dale’s case need to rewatch the segment. That part was re-enacted, at best we should consider it to be like a witness statement, not proof, not insight into dale or the masked man.
the Jay and Tanya murders have been solved...On 11 April 2018, a composite sketch of the suspect was released based on the DNA collected from semen found on Van Cuylenborg’s trousers at the crime scene using a process called "snapshot DNA phenotyping" by Parabon Nanolabs. The case was also investigated by Parabon using genetic genealogy by uploading the DNA to the public website GEDmatch.com, the same site that led to the arrest of the Golden State Killer suspect Joseph James Deangelo junior. A second cousin, Chelsea Rustad, and another undisclosed distant cousin from the other side of the tree, were identified from GEDmatch. Based on genetic genealogy, William Earl Talbott II, 55, a truck driver, became the prime suspect. Police tested a paper cup Talbott had abandoned and found his DNA matched exactly. On 18 May 2018, Snohomish County Sheriff announced that Talbott was arrested for the murder of Van Cuylenborg. Talbott's parents lived seven miles away from the bridge over the Snoqualmie River where Cook was found. The case, and specifically finding the killer via public genealogical websites, was featured on a Season 4 episode of the Criminology podcast. The case was also featured on the television program Unsolved Mysteries. Legal Proceedings Talbott was charged in May 2018 for the murder of Van Cuylenborg. On June 16, 2018, a second aggravated first-degree murder charge was added for the murder of Jay Cook. Talbott pleaded not guilty to both these charges. He was held on $2.5 million bail and his trial was originally scheduled to take place in late March or early April 2019; it was then moved to June 3 but began in June 11 and ended on June 28 with Talbott being found guilty. He was originally eligible for the death penalty but due to Washington State Supreme Court declaring the death penalty unconstitutional, he was instead given two life in prison sentences and has since been moved to the Washington Corrections Center.Talbott is now trying to appeal his conviction.

Never did believe that Dale was in on this he was to old I know his company wanted to blame him and throw him under the bus yet he was killed probably by this masked gunman sad they never even found a body
also it's OBVIOUS he was a victim. The proof is all there, this is no mystery at all. The statue of limitations expired yet still no update on the case. He was killed, clearly that was also his body being wheeled out. You could see by the shape underneath. The legs and all. What a crock of shit to even call this a mystery. Poor guy was robbed and killed and that's how he gets treated. Now I DO have ADHD and missed the first part of the episiode I started watching when dale was looking in the camera. Still though whatever happened earlier cannot disprove the truth.. I am guessing maybe he had a past history of scamming. But in that case why would he be trusted to work in that position?
@@ecstaticallyextreme I don't know. I can buy Dale being a victim, but why murder him there then haul his body and dump it somewhere? Seems like most robberies the victims are bound and gagged and left at the scene. Judging from the camera it looks like the robber was familiar with the plant. If he was familiar with the plant (possibly worked there) there's a possibility he planned this with Kerstetter.
And he's dead. Sadly. And all their speculation on his involvement is what's ultimately lead to this theft AND murder remaining unsolved. They spent too much time following false leads.
Thank god to see your comment. I was about to lose faith in humanity altogether. I mean where has common sense went to? This was no mystery at all. Not only is it obvious Dale was an innocent victim (And very wrong that he was killed and they made him out to be guilty one) but the proof is there that he wasnt involved. The statue of limitations expired, and still no update? His whole family in on it? LOL He was seriously in fear when looking in that camea and you could also see the shpare of a body under that trap being wheeled out on camera. @@jonslg240 Yeah I guess the only mystery is who did it. I am guessing the illuminati or some agency above the law did it, and thats why they directed the heat at the victim. @@ecstaticallyextreme Not the illuminati. They are the ones at the very top.Only those of the 13 bloodlines are members. They won't involve themselves in something like this. The others are puppets yes,but they also have the power to do things on their own.
There’s really no mystery on what happened to Dale. He most likely got threatened by the robber, he in turn helped the robber, thought he would survive if he complied than the robber most likely killed him in retaliation. That’s the most plausible explanation. This is no different from a bank heist you do what they say they have a gun to you and you comply than the robber probably killed him for some dumb plastic leaving a Humble and innocent man away from his family. The real question is what happened to the body? Why are there no traces of it? Who was the robber in the first place? Was it a fired employee he had knowledge only somebody who worked in the factory setting would know. I don’t think the robber was your typical Joe. He definitely worked at the planet, or used to because of his knowledge that’s why he was able to rob the place blind and get away probably knew the building inside and out.. rest in peace dale hopefully you have found peace.
I wish every show had that kind of introduction. It would be: Keeping Up with the Kartrashians "This show is about bullshit, and you shouldn't waste your time on it." Cops "This show is about cops."
So TRUE. The boy who didn't get picked may have actually gotten lucky. Who knows what kind of homes those poor little kids ended up with. I pray they were loved, but it's scary to think what may have become of them.
Times haven’t changed much unfortunately. Better screening now, but there are horrible people out there taking foster kids purely for the money. Look up the number of children aging out of the adoption system. Practically a miracle that older kids get picked.
Those were harsh days. These were children who were literally street children in New York City with nowhere else to go and no else in the entire world for them. It’s important to keep this in mind and have some perspective when people complain about how bad things are today and refer to bygone times as “the good old days.”
Even worse (I think) that every generation seems to have its own story about groups who do something similar, or much, much, more brutal to anyone they choose!
Those bosses were horrific to poor Dale. By the end of that segment, I hoped Dale took the money and is living it up in some sun-drenched resort in Brazil. Also, his children seem like lovely people. Speaks volumes.
Many of the children adopted from the orphan train were more indentured servants than family. James Whitcomb Riley's "Little Orphant Annie" was a about a railroad child.
While “Allie/Annie” was an orphan taken in as an indentured servant to work for her bed and board by the Riley family, she was actually a local, native orphan whose mother was likely deceased and whose father may have been dead or incarcerated, rather than one of the children transported by train under the auspices of one the social welfare organizations, such as the Children’s Aid Society, that took homeless, orphaned city children from crowded Northeastern cities for placement with Midwest farm families.
Tanya and Jay story -- damn, I miss tight jeans on guys (28:40 - 29:05). The 80s rocked! Also, the rubber gloves they found could have been turned inside out and they maybe could have gotten prints from that. I imagine that technique was around then. Maybe not.
37:11 They have since caught Jay and Tanya's killer using genetic genealogy in 2018! Fifty-five-year-old William Earl Talbott II was arrested in Seattle after his DNA was determined to have matched semen found on Tanya's body and on pants found in the van. His DNA was also found on a zip tie in the van. A palm print found on the van was also matched to him. When the murders were committed, he was twenty-four and living with his parents in Woodinville, just seven miles from where Jay's body was found. Investigators said that the arrest was made thanks to genetic genealogy. They uploaded the DNA profile to GEDMatch and identified second cousins of the killer. Through this, they were able to create a family tree, which led them to Talbott's parents. They then tracked him down and were able to retrieve a sample of his DNA from a discarded cup. A similar technology was used to identify the Original Night Stalker. Talbott was initially charged only with Tanya's murder. However, in June, he was also charged with Jay's murder. He pleaded not guilty at a preliminary hearing. Investigators asked for anyone who knew Talbott around the time of the murders to come forward. Several of his former friends contacted police; they noted that Talbott had worked as a delivery driver in 1987. They confirmed that the route he took for his deliveries matched that of the couple's travel plans at the time. Talbott's former roommate told police that he had seen a blue blanket in Talbott's home and car. This blanket was similar to the one found on Jay's body. The roommate also noted that Talbott had a tumultuous relationship with family members, was involved in drugs, and had personality changes when he drank alcohol. He also recalled seeing a bronze van outside of Talbott's home on a misty day in the fall of 1987. Finally, he recalled that Talbott had taken him to the same general area where Jay's body was later found. In June of 2019, Talbott went on trial for Jay and Tanya's murders.

Unsolved. Dale was declared legally dead in July 2014. Police have investigated several leads in his case, including that: he was "double-crossed" and killed by a former coworker who helped him steal the platinum; he was placed in a gas well near the plant or in the plant's furnace; and he was killed in a mob-related incident. However, none of these theories have been confirmed. In fact, authorities have noted that the furnace was not turned on that night, meaning that it could not have been used to dispose of his body. His whereabouts remain unknown.
Definitely an inside job on the first case. I think the robber got recognized and the guy is definitely deceased. Too bad his body was never recovered. I feel bad for his family.
Dales Kerstetter was dead on the pallet mover. The burglar wouldn’t leave the guy alone by himself. I heard the police think his body was thrown down a well

It's so weird to think that some of the people on these cases are no longer alive. Because it's been 30+ years since these episodes first aired.
Yes, you are so right! Sometimes I would think it occured just yesterday!
I agree, so little change in life.
i know right that's exactly what i was thinking when they had that episode of those 2 folks who were looking for that Soldier in season 1 and all of them were ages from the late 40's at the time to my guess maybe the 70's? how in (2023) all 3 of them may now be passed on is quite said i think.
It always gets me when they do an update segment saying someone was apprehended, then it says like "They have since been released after serving a 30 year sentence"

Francis. Frances is the female spelling.
The bosses for Dale clearly hate him and Im betting now (if they're alive) they regret blaming him. He was murdered by robbers and it's obvious. You don't walk away from your home life and family just because you're merely upset with your pay cut, especially at that age.
Yes his bosses were cold
That sounds like the kind of workplace where things like sexual harassment and racial discrimination routinely go unchecked.

Very well documented, thank you.
UPDATE: The Washington State Supreme Court reinstated the guilty verdict against Talbott on December 23, 2022.

@Blondie same here big party of my childhood me and my Nana would always watch these together

Francis developed heart disease in 1987; tragically, he passed away immediately after his interview was filmed in November 1988. His wife Christine and their children are still searching for Margaret. She was born in either Yonkers or New York City and may have been adopted. She was born in either 1926 or 1927 and would now be around ninety-two-years-old. Their mother was Hilda Harding Murphy. Their grandparents were John and Elizabeth Harding of Nova Scotia. Francis's father was Martin Murphy. Due to the passage of time, it is possible that Margaret is now deceased.

NOT the robber
you may missed out the part where they show 2 sides of the theories.. Dale as a part of the heist and as a victim

Masked man clearly has a gun in his back, and Dale looks at the camera like “please help me.”
His truck and effects are all still there, and his family never heard from him again.
Sad story about Francis and the Orphan Train during the 1920s. He was fortunate to have a great life besides not having the best childhood.
Thank you for the video.
the Jay and Tanya murders have been solved...On 11 April 2018, a composite sketch of the suspect was released based on the DNA collected from semen found on Van Cuylenborg’s trousers at the crime scene using a process called "snapshot DNA phenotyping" by Parabon Nanolabs.
Legal Proceedings
Talbott was charged in May 2018 for the murder of Van Cuylenborg.
Being a truck driver would make sense when he was sending the victim's families cards on holidays from different locations.
He's appealing? Talbot deserves to rot
@@nexxus111 The author/sender of the letters was actually determined to be a totally different person who was NOT the actual killer though.
I still love watching unsolved mysteries since I was younger and Robert stacks still creeps me out but I just love watching him on this show R.I.P Robert Stacks
The hazy cinematography somehow made the older episodes look even creepier.
Never did believe that Dale was in on this he was to old I know his company wanted to blame him and throw him under the bus yet he was killed probably by this masked gunman sad they never even found a body
If that is actual surveillance tape, it seems obvious the masked guy has a pistol held at Kerstetter's back.
Pockets MacCartney no its not.
Recreation
Of course he did that to Dale and then he killed him
also it's OBVIOUS he was a victim.
That dude wasn't involved in the platinum theft at all.
And he's dead. Sadly. And all their speculation on his involvement is what's ultimately lead to this theft AND murder remaining unsolved.
They spent too much time following false leads.
I agree
Thank god to see your comment. I was about to lose faith in humanity altogether. I mean where has common sense went to? This was no mystery at all. Not only is it obvious Dale was an innocent victim (And very wrong that he was killed and they made him out to be guilty one) but the proof is there that he wasnt involved. The statue of limitations expired, and still no update? His whole family in on it? LOL He was seriously in fear when looking in that camea and you could also see the shpare of a body under that trap being wheeled out on camera. I missed the first part of the show will have to watxch again but right now am wondering how anyone would even remotely think its possible he was involved.
@@jonslg240 Yeah I guess the only mystery is who did it. I am guessing the illuminati or some agency above the law did it, and thats why they directed the heat at the victim. I mean they do control the media too. Even shows like unsolved pushed the boundaries of what they wanted us to know but it's still controlled.

It is very bad when you're out.
The orphan train story was very sad. And disgusting people picking over those children like toys.
So TRUE. The boy who didn't get picked may have actually gotten lucky. Who knows what kind of homes those poor little kids ended up with. I pray they were loved, but it's scary to think what may have become of them.
Toys? More like almost free labor on farms. Most of these kids weren't adopted for love.
Pretty sure it's Jack-rabbits with Glow-worms attached to their tales... :PPP!!!!
Maybe not.
Prometheus Unbound Those are not tight jeans, they are fitted properly
37:11 They have since caught Jay and Tanya's killer using genetic genealogy in 2018! I'm so happy for the families of Jay and Tonya! The monster, William Talbot, has been convicted and sentenced to two life terms. He was a truck driver. When you look at how prepared he was to commit this crime and the brutality he used in it i can't help but wonder if he has more victims out there.

That Victoria B.C. one hits close to home. You can tell they actually filmed on location, those are authentic B.C. license plate tags. The ferry shots were authentic as well.
I found an episode I've never seen before, that has happened that I could remember until now.
Jay & Tanya has been solved:
Results: Solved. Several possible suspects were questioned in the case over the years, including serial killers Robert Yates and Charles Sinclair. Both were active in the Seattle area in 1987. However, DNA evidence from the crime scene cleared them of any involvement. The DNA profile also did not match anyone in police databases.
In 1990, police located the camera lens that belonged to Tanya's missing camera at a pawn shop in Portland, Oregon. However, police were unable to determine who originally brought the lens into the shop.
DNA testing later determined that the evidence found at the crime scene did not match DNA recovered from the taunting greeting cards. In August of 2010, Victoria cold-case detectives finally identified the person responsible for sending the cards. He is a man now in his seventies with severe mental issues. He readily admitted that he was their author. Police interviewed him for several hours and now believe he had nothing to do with the murders; he presumably read about the story in a newspaper and sent the cards from there.
In April of 2018, Snohomish County investigators announced that a Parabon DNA Snapshot composite of the killer was created based on the DNA evidence at the crime scene. Composites were made of the killer at ages twenty-five, forty-five, and sixty-five. As a result of the Parabon analysis, it was believed that the killer was a white male of European descent, with hazel or green eyes, fair skin, possible freckles, and possible male-pattern baldness.
Finally, on May 18, 2018, a suspect was arrested in the case.
Sadly his conviction has been overturned. DA is considering re-trying. Good news is he's still in jail. Not sure for how long tho.
So it's very easy to find out if it needs Platinum was sold in the area or in the next counties once you find that saw that you be able to trace him down that's simple if it is that damn hard to trace down anybody than your law is no good
That corporate shill did an awful job. Working slowly does not mean that you are going to steal from your company and disappear.
Definitely an inside job on the first case. I think the robber got recognized and the guy is definitely deceased. Too bad his body was never recovered. I feel bad for his family.
33:46 this scene where the killer allegedly approaches them is so creepy, especially the way the two men sitting there turn and stare at them.
Dales Kerstetter was dead on the pallet mover. The burglar wouldn’t leave the guy alone by himself. I heard the police think his body was thrown down a well
Jay and Tayna update on the source of the letters:
In 2010, it was announced that the writer of the cards had been found: a 78 year-old Canadian transient with mental health issues. The police confirmed that he was not the killer and had no connection to the crime.
