- Today we take a look at the....well...I don't really know if we can call this one CLASSIC....Star Wars Episode 1 Jedi Power Battles game for the PS1. This game was also out for the Dreamcast and Gameboy Advance, but yours truly had the playstation 1 version so that's what we're working with. I made sure to include some gameplay on this one too, recorded using the Retrotink 5x upscaler!

nostalgic, game was impossible to get through as a kid but so many memories
I was low key obsessed with ep1 so as a kid this was a slam dunk for me 😂😂
It’s still impossible even as an adult haha! The jumps are absolutely insane and Darth Maul is an animal. What a game though. Completely agree. Great memories!
Oh man. So many hours playing this. Me and a friend beat it and unlocked everything, which meant replaying every level multiple times with each character... Such a grind. And it was so buggy. I remember falling through the floor randomly on tatooine. And one time we were fighting darth maul and it glitched and a second darth maul came onscreen from the wrong side of where he normally spawned. And then respawned in a section he didn't normally appear in. Good times. I'd like to be entered to win! Loved the trip down memory lane!

This was originally my Dad’s game but it quickly became THE game I played. We didn’t have a memory card though so I basically became a professional speed run gamer at the age of 5. Loved playing as Qui-Gon and Plo Koon. Would love to get a copy of the game and play with my younger sister.

Fun fact, my cousin and I used to play with Gameshark. We destroyed the TV by spamming grenades in game. Idk why but the tv just said no the explosion effect.

I loved this game as a kid. My friend and I would play coop all the time. We didn't deal with the difficulty because we used gameshark for unlimited health and lives and other stuff. I remember it would cause the game to make an enemy invincible every so often but we treated it as an extra challenge to knock him off the level or run away. We found out years later it was the infinite grenade code that did it. Also this game made me a Plo Koon fan. I know the retconned his saber to Blue but I will always prefer his yellow/orange saber.

what a great action-adventure brawler nobody ever talks about. i loved all the destructible environment in the stage with the computer consoles or whatever you could smash.

I had the game on both versions the Sony Playstation and Sega Dreamcast versions. Love the game. And I have the strategy guide for the game.

As someone who also mentioned r1 is lock on. Definitely helped when I started playing this. I never had this as a kid. I’m not going to lie I’ve been abusing save states on this game. I should just turn cheats on because I do want to get through it all just to see everything.

Dreamcast version was great, and I loved this game. But I also hate this game.
This was the first time you saw Plo Koon fight and they gave him yellow force lightning, which is completely lore breaking, and ever since then. dumbass eu fans have wanted this to be canon, and some even mistakenly say it is canon, but it is not. This was the first appearance.
