Hey guys, sorry about the weird cuts. The system is flagging parts of the video and we don't want to take it down. Thanks for being patient as we try to solve this! - Chase
Grew up a cowboys fan through the 80's-00s. Stopped watching football about 15 years ago, but man this chance of a three-peat has me watching and paying attention again. These Chiefs are fun to watch
My wife, who is 74 yrs old, loves to call out basic defenses . She feels like it is a badge of honor with her lady friends. I was a STH for 28 seasons and lived the pain. Haha.
Chase Daniel was THE MAN at Mizzou when I was in Middle-school/High-school. I used to always trade for Chase on Madden and make him a hall of famer. Dude was legit
What a great film break down Chase i have learned so much more about the game I love because of you thank you!! Makes watching the chiefs more exciting
I knew I wasn't the only one that noticed that Andy is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. Andy just running the same plays but in different formation to make people think its a different play when its not but when playoff starts he run a whole new playbook and people can't stop him. His style and the way he coach is something that needs to be in a book when he retire
The best part of being a Chiefs fan is understanding why they are so good. And this channel is one of the best at helping us recognize the important details 🏆💪
A little thing, but at 12:00, Mahomes slips around Morris but still knows Crosby is probably behind him. Pat doesn't rear back to throw, instead he keeps the ball in front of him on the throw, to prevent his pursuer from causing a fumble.
When you watch the rest the the NFL teams, the Chiefs are on a different level. It's often hard to explain but you can see it on the field. They make plays that other teams don't and their coaching is just that much better.
exactly. and haters don't watch Chiefs games, they're not gonna sit there for 3 hours seething. so they see Mahomes "interception" stats even though they are mostly tipped passes and think he forgot how to win superbowls. it's pretty funny seeing fans of irrelevant teams combing through the "stats" hoping that the Chiefs magically forgot how to win even though they're undefeated with one of the hardest schedules
D-hop and Kelce are going to feast the rest of this season, and the speed guys will get more opportunities as a result. And the run game is cooking, crazy balance coming soon!
I am 100% sure Patrick goes out each game with his whole heart and soul in the game. But, he is a human being and like all of us he has better days than others. At the end of the day, he and our fantastic team figure out how to win! The whole team deserves our respect and praise. ❤️
Chase I like these plays you explain. It’s helping me learn football and understand why Mahomes is so great. I wish others would recognize that as well. They think you have to make flashy plays to be great. Too much emphasis on stats. The commentators need to understand the team focus is on the goal which is Super Bowl. The team makes mistakes, but the players are smart and they figure it out and it may not always be pretty. The GM does a really good job recruiting really smart ballers as well as leaders. Great culture. I enjoy you on the show The Facility as well. Joe Barrows has good stats but the team, not so hot. Probably no Super Bowl.
I’m a fan! You do such a great job breaking down the plays. I’m going to be sharing your videos on all my social media platforms! Look forward to your next video!👍💯💯💯
That throw to 87 at 5:33 is wild to see from that perspective. I’m sure other qbs do this but seeing Mahomes throw the ball to the inside of 87!to allow him space up field to run as opposed to throwing it outs wide and having him catch and then get hit immediately. That’s a perspective I’d like to see more of in games!
It’s not just Mahomes… my defense is the best in football and we use guys right. Example: Kareem will pound your defense until he has sapped their energy, their confidence, their clock, and their will… if your defense needs help and you stack the box that’s when Mahomes tosses it passed all them boys trying to stop the run. Imagine when Pacheco is back… you know you got to double Kelce and Hopkins and this leaves Worthy and JuJu or Mecole all alone out there😎 basically what I’m saying is I’m living in my childhood fantasy… in the 70s we just got beat up and bloody but never won. Now my guys just keep finding ways to win.
Sounds weird when he says, “He had the best game of the year.”. It’s so painful not having receivers! If we can overcome this situation we will have the best dynasty ever!
it's cool Mahomes called that nickel blitz from the left but he missed Worthy. one of the things I don't like these past few years is that he isn't looking deep like he used to. that used to be an across the body while jumping and some other magical stuff that we'd see in ESPN later.
DeHop running the route wrong at roughly 9:00 is perfectly understandable considering he had only been with the team for a few days at that point. He's a very smart player who WILL get on the same page with Mahomes pretty quickly. That said, the two worst things you can do against the Chiefs as a defense is run zone, or blitz Mahomes. They will just pick you apart because their offense is designed to defeat both.
Remember 2010 maybe after a loss in the playoffs to the Steelers Kelce said we aint gonna beat anyone till we can beat a cover 2.... I think they learned
Love the in depth X's and O's you are giving us Chase. Us football junkies love all the explanation of how you Pros work. Minute 5:33 there is a team coming up that loves to play man coverage,... Denver,. And I hate to say it, they are really good at it. So I believe that the Doncos will be the toughest game this year for the Chiefs. I HATE the Denver Doncos so I hope I am wrong but Sean Peyton has got them playing really really well. Peyton is a hell of a coach... We'll see what happens..... Overall the AFC-WEST is a much much tougher division this year. Harbough has the Chargers playing very very well too.
Watching you point out 74's stance at 16:35, I think it might be to help keep him from moving backwards early, since he was the most penalized player in the league last year for that. See how he has to move his front foot back to be even with his back foot before he can start actually moving his body?
What’s scary is, on 90% of these plays, he had a choice of @ least 2 diff open receivers! And, that Int was bad, when you realize he had Noah @ the 5, & no defender within 8 yds of him, it would’ve easily picked up 8-9 yds!
Obviously not a pro maxed out playing college lax, goalie. On clears I’d run that same game and it feels so good when the defender(atk/middie for me) peels off and you dump the ball off to your dude for an easy offensive position on the other end. Must feel 1000x better in the nfl.
From your experience with the Chiefs and Andy, do you think the Chiefs hold plays and options for later in the year? Example, Worthy has shown he can beat defenses deep, could they hold this threat till later in year? Or are defenses using formations that make that almost impossible?
I think Patrick Mahomes is pretty close to unstoppable unless you get a sack or something on him. The only other thing that stops him other than a sack is stupid penalties that shouldn’t happen especially illegal formations. He played with much more confidence and command against the Raiders. He’ll be ready to play his best ball 🏈 when it’s required of him. He’s not bailing to early from secure pockets like he did earlier in his career, he trusts his O line more to do their job because of the interior 3.
Yeah literally nobody would be mad at mahomes if he made absolutely no attempt at tackling someone after they intercepted his pass. He’s one of the few i feel could get away with that. No need for him to risk getting hurt.
Thank you for showing and teaching great info. However one small feedback. The sniffling and inhaling next to the microphone is beyond annoying sadly. Hopefully placement is enough as not to pick up the sniffles. If you want to really break out and increase your numbers you cant sound like a coke addict from the 90s every 5 seconds. Better mic placement and or buy new mic, finally use editing tools but thats a hassle. Atleast try to eliminate the sniffles and insane inhales by the mic. Listen through before posting and you will notice.
Do the Raiders play zone because their backs are less skilled? They lean Cosby and company for QB pressure, but PM15 and Kelce (and now D-Hop) can find voids.
@KAYDXN hmmm interesting.. ok ill take your word for it. I am too lazy to fact check that lol and thanks But if i remember correctly, i thought Andy Reid has gotten the Chiefs to 8-0 twice only. Once with Alex Smith, who could never get over the hump(EVER!) And once with Mahomes on his first or 2nd year as a starter(Or maybe 3rd)
How much of the Chiefs success is Mahomes just communicating to guys who are stepping in. For example, to Deandre... is Mahomes calling a play for everyone else and then saying do a curl to the 35 yard line and I'll hit you outside?
Yo is mahomes considerate a running QB? Because if you don't account for the run he will burn you... I can think of 2 Superbowls that he won the game with 2 big runs I think it might be safe to call him a duel qb
Undefeated, back to back champs, and yet because they haven’t hung 50 points on terrible teams they’re “not that good” thanks for the analysis, because all we see from a national level are mahomes interceptions
Hearing Chase sharing plays that he was taught while in KC is a shame. Why don't you just give the opponents the playbook? Good god, how selfish can you be?! @Chiefs
I know almost nothing about football, but even I know every other team out there is studying the Chiefs and know all this without this guy telling them. He prevented Max from getting any pressures that game. That was Max's first since 2022. Now if we can get him to stop being penalized...
