We biked to Pangong Lake!
Welcome to Day 2 and Day 3 of our 1000km motorbiking journey across the Himalayas.
Day 2 we biked 170km from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake and
Day 3 255km from Pangong Lake to Leh.
It was hard, not going to lie. Spending 10 hours a day on a bike (especially if you are not regular bikers) on rock roads feels like all your organs move inside your body and that you will never be able to sit again.
It was all worth it though, the views were incredible, the people kind, crossing the 10th highest motoroable pass Chang La in the world and the India's military next level and an insane experience to see.

I’m SOOOO glad that you always referred as ‘TIBET’ and NOT CHINA. Many tourists and even Indians refers it as China although it’s Tibet occupied by Chinese.
That’s all thanks to the incredible Indians we met in Ladakh and informed us. Otherwise we wouldn’t have known either. I love how proud Indians are 🇮🇳

due to hostile borders we need army, if everyone is good then its been so good.. but they are friendly
The school bus you mentioned in this video is an army truck converted into a bus with canvas roof instead of a regular metal roof. It carries mostly kids of defense personal to schools. Having 4*4 is an added advantage in this inhospitable terrain.

Please visit South India, particularly Kerala and the coastal areas of Karnataka. You will be blown away by the beauty, food, and culture. In Kerala, you find a variety of beef dishes too unlike rest of india

Indian and Chinese are at worst stand off in Ladakh hence you are seeing such military activities. China ingressed on Indian territory, India responded which resulted in this.

@@himrao7366 hey! I actually felt quite safe. That being said I was always so ry my husband and never alone.
But felt very safe at the train stations, even at night. I felt the safest in Leh, there I sometimes went to the shop on my own or went for runs on my own.
I also felt safe in Jaipur, we did stay in an airbnb from a local family in the civil lines. Felt very safe at home there and could run in the neighborhood on my own.
Agra I felt okay, I wouldn’t go out on my own.
Delhi I didn’t feel safe, even when with my husband.

I just heard of this story today. That is really horrible and shocking. I am so sorry, it only takes a few people to ruin the reputation and good name of a country and place. No matter how many good people there are it only takes a few bad ones.
We felt so safe, perhaps also because it was in Ladakh area and we were om an organized tour doing the biking trip.
We met so many lovely people in India. It is so horrible that a few bad ones give India a bad name. 😡
All good if you plan the trip properly and reach an accommodation in a fairly decent area before it gets dark. Dont get too adventurous camping in the middle of nowhere. Unlike the west the nights in India aren't safe.

Why not go to Tibet!? Last time I was in Lhasa my heart stopped and ended up in ER. Then got arrested for talking about the Dalai Lama. For revenge I snuck into the potala palace from the exit and took pictures of the Dalai Lama’s old room… moving the barbed wire…. Sent the pics to the Dalai Lama’s office in McLeod gange ;)

@@KinfolkTravelsI guess yes. Check the reviews and don't go for cheap options. We Indians throw it all out in our reviews. So very less chances of going wrong. The places you have been visiting are tourist places. People are used to seeing foreign travellers. Just be careful with the off-beat locations or rather avoid completely.
Come to Northeast india. You’ll get a completely different vibe here. More greenery, less population, vibrant culture.

The Pangong Lake doesn't have fishes. It is almost devoid of life.

Dear tourist be very careful while traveling in india ,india is not safe for female tourist.but yes some places like Sikkim ladakh nagaland mizoram arunachal and meghalaya are safe .may god protect both of you.

Please avoid states like jharkhand, bihar , west bengal, assam, tripura, manipur , rajasthan, uttar pradesh its not safe. Go to south indian states or north eastern states like sikkim, meghalaya, nagaland , mizoram, arunachal pradesh. Don't go without a guide and never camp in unknown or suspicious places avoid states with low literacy and high corruption. Recent incident happened in dhumka, jharkhand with spanish/brazilian couple.

Assam, West Bengal, Tripura is safe. Kolkata is the safest city in India.

It was surprising because some parts were really good and then some weren’t. I think it’s also really hard to maintain with the snow etc.
@@KinfolkTravels previously ladakh used to be closed by roads for 6 months because of snow. For last 2 years because of tunnels they are open almost whole year. But it should be and will be better .himalaya is a fold mountain, so it is growing and causes landslides often.

Hahaha, I’m sure it’s not the most remote place in the world. But it’s more remote than big cities like Delhi etc. So usually petrol to places further from the coast or in “more remote areas” than big cities are a bit more pricey. :)

India is pretty safe for women also. There are just few areas in every country where people have to be careful. You cannot just roam in such places in the middle of the night.
Ladakh is one of the safest region.
