@Jose Antonio Isekai is not an anime term. It's just a genre. And there are lots of animes from the past that are Isekais but were never called like that because the term didn't exist back then. For example, Magic Knight Rayearth.

In terms of games that crashed my Switch. I had Skyrim crash it a few times. Not too surprising though considering it was Bethesda.
Tales of Vesperia also had crashing issues (not sure if they were fixed)

@@adamtideman4953 Oh no. For me, Skyrim was not a game I ever considered as particularly stable on any platform I played it on. So I just laughed and was like "Ha! It even crashes on the Switch" the first time it happened to me

That new Yu Gi Oh game also has crashed on me, like twice, but it being Konami, it neither surprised me.
Left Alive is the most disappointing for me on this list, and that's because it just sounds awesome to me on paper. I've never even heard of the series it's connected to and I was still keeping an eye on it since it was announced. Thankfully I didn't preorder it though. It's not in this video, but my most disappointing game of the year is YIIK. I followed that game for years and it... it's not great.
I followed YIIK because voice actors i really liked were in it and they seemed so excited. Then....i played it.
At least we have the yoji shinkawa artwork for the game, which is probably the only good thing about it
@@sbfh014 I would argue the soundtrack and voice actors are also quite good, though some voice actors sound bad due to directing.
I, personally, hate the existence of Left Alive (it should be noted that I haven't played it, and I don't need to. I could just tell it was going to be awful from the TGS gameplay videos). It is to Front Mission what Alone in the Dark: Illumination was to Alone in the Dark: The final nail in the fuckin' coffin for a great series that got put in the hands of clueless idiots who didn't give a shit about a series that deserves so much better but is now fucking dead because these morons wanted to make a quick buck in the hopes that hardcore fans would jump at their bargain bin/budget barrel game out of brand recognition.

unironically loved that aspect about the console. Not all of them hit my spots (Not into the mini fetish here, not really much into the bdsm-lite of criminal girls) but the experimentation was respectable, because we sometimes got stuff like Mary Skeler and Dungeon travelers.
For me I'd say Jump Force was the most disappointing game of 2019. I was really hyped but it did not live up to expectations. It was a flop.
Those Animations, tho. And the graphics looks like plastic toys.
The baffling part is that the game and its DLC sold enough that it's getting a Season 2 next year.

@abrahamWCE I am still waiting for the day Kinnikuman appears in one of these games, come on, superhero wrestler character with his own power-up should be an obvious choice.
But it's only popular in Japan and the series starts out as being a really rough and bad comedy for quite a while before the author decided to make it a standard Shounen series only based on wrestling and said wrestling being completely real.
No, don't put Kinnikuman in it, it's not as if i wanted to play with a Russian Cyborg Wolverine Wrestler called Warsman who has a mask that can turn into a psycho slasher smile or anything, can't see why anyone would want to play as that character.

Left Alive is so bad that even Yongyea refused to talk about it, and that dude loved anything almost remotely related to Metal Gear/Kojima

@@UltimateCarl i hope one day Splash Damage will try to publish a Brink 2 ! with all they learned from Dirty Bomb, and on Wolfenstein Ennemy Territories... with a decent 3D engine, there is something to do ! Never any game has tried to do the objective based gameplay in multiplayer like Brink.
I loved brink but if it wasn't for that horrid launch...
Basically, Left Alive is to the Metal Gear franchise what Hunt Down The Freeman is to the Half-Life franchise.

Yes, I feel the same way. Left Alive had so much potential to fill that MGS void and it fell hard on its face after falling down several flights of stairs and into some shit someone tracked in. I saw the art and was sold. And then I found out it was based in or on or around the Front Mission series and I was more sold. I preodered the special edition from Square Enix for that sweet sweet artbook and wanzer figure and had more fun with those than the actual game itself.
Annually released games have become the worst games of the year every year. It must be addressed. But it wont because people buy it for their kids and the companies make their money. Anyone want to talk about how some games get worse as they get updates. Believe it or not Fallout76 is worse than ever and battlefield isnt far behind.
I knew where Fallout 76 was going when Bugthesda decided to reuse FO4's engine, which itself was a rejiggered Skyrim, for a new online thing.

Three Houses? A pervy anime game? On the same list as Senran Kagura? I'm sorry, but I can't let that just be said. The game is not pervy, at all. I just want to make sure everyone understands that.
Not a mention of Kingdom Hearts where they made people wait a week for the secret ending, and a god damn year for the true ending to come out. Austin, your list is both accurate and flawed .
It's reasonable to be upset with the people who made that decision, but that's not a good reason to say an entire game sucks.
The game itself is a ton of fun though, and it has great music and GORGEOUS visuals. I can understand why people might think the story is disappointing, but I checked out of the story after Kingdom Hearts Coded so I couldn't really care less. All that mattered to me in KH3 was how fun the game would be to play. And thankfully it succeeds hard in that department. At least in my opinion.
So because of the ending it should be on the worst and most disappointing games list. I don’t think so. The rest of the game was really fun. Also I don’t think you can judge whether or not his list is flawed.
It wasnt really the ending that got me annoyed with it, it was the full price tech demo feel of the game, and the business practice behind it. As of now if you dont know how much a deus ex machina ending it is then what exactly did you get from the rest of the series. That's simply my opinion, the gameplay was OK but it isnt perfect, it certainly didnt take away the agitation that a game that was told to be about 60-80 hours was only 27 hours long, and the £25 dlc that was just an elongated teaser trailer, it was a flawed game and disappointed me and other long time fans.
Front Mission 1 and Front Mission 4 are some of the best strategy RPGs I've ever played. Everyone needs to experience a giant mech dual wielding clubs piloted by an angry russian woman.

Anthem felt a lot like Brink for me. An incredible and fun experience for 2 days, then the stunning lack of content set in.

So when it comes to the pervy anime games, sometimes some of them are hidden gems. I've heard that the Kagura games are actually pretty fun, and i've played Abika's Trip (the game about stripping vampires so they melt in the sunlight) and it's actually a pretry solid 3d beat em up game.

As an owner of Gun Gun Pixies, I was tempted to buy the PC version to see if it controlled better than its console counterpart, like almost all of Idea Factories games, but kit was so disappointing that I didnt bother

SeanHiruki I’m not saying it isn’t. I’m just saying that because it is an incredibly niche title that you probably won’t find at stores like Wal-Mart or Best Buy, (or even GameStop for that matter. I always peruse the Switch section and have never seen a new or used copy there) that, in a few years, I am willing to bet money that this game will go up in price significantly.

Wolfgang Amadeus Good point! I was specifically referring to the physical copy. I’m a big fan of JRPG’s and many of those are kind of niche so they tend to get ridiculously expensive as time goes by. Up until Atlus did a second print run and then the 3DS remaster, “Radiant Historia” was one of those titles that was crazy expensive. Or just look at how much physical copies of “Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance” and “Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn” go for right now! And Fire Emblem is a pretty popular series!!!
@@Yup712 I know ,I feel the same ,I used to collect some of J-RPG on playsation 2 .Most are getting expensive in my country ,because who have don't wanna sell (I don't really blame then).I have a PS Vita everything here is quite expensive .Perssonaly I don't really like digital copies for consoles,you never know when someone will pull the plug of the server ,but at least on pc I know most of the games will be preserved with the years ,most because of the easy distrubion of digital media (I'm not talking about piracy,I'm talking about archivied media) but still nothing beats have a nice collection displayed.

Wouldn’t say there was for Fallout 76. I knew the game was going to bomb when they announced it because lets face it, Bethesda can’t even build a very stable single player experience. Fallout 76 was doomed as soon as the idea of making it an MMO-like experience was approved.

There's something I quickly wanted to point out about Contra. The newer version has times where you can't fire because of the overheat mechanic. I want that to sink in to people's heads.

If you want another example of a Switch game crashing: in Fire Emblem Warriors, it's possible to crash the game by equipping the skill Astra on the character Lyn while she's set to a Swordmaster. She attacks so fast that the game can't handle it for very long.

Holy crap. I was trying to remember this mech game I played as a kid on the PS1 that used a grid to move but couldn't remember the name. It was Front Mission 3 lol.

Every time I hear Brink mentioned it hurts. That game had SO much potential. Fun art style? Check. Weapon and character customization? Check. Fun, fast paced combat? Check!
And they still fucked it up.

Haven't touched it since...
Man, Anthem had a ton of potential, but it's weighed down heavily by being an online-only, constant internet connection forever game. Bioware just made it even more disappointing by disappearing and not really doing much to improve it.
Really wish games that want to be like Destint would go more toward the Monster Hunter route; optional Co-op, no constant internet required, and upgrades/progression that actually feel tangible.

The years haven't been kind do Bioware? No. They haven't been kind to their consumers. Their awful games have been their fault, not some unseen force.
I actually expected Town to be mentioned here. I planned to buy it, it looked wonderful, but even Toby soundtrack can't change how boring it gameplay turned out to be. Glad they showed it.
I think it's just not on here cause you have expect something to be good to be disappointed in it.
The only Switch games I've had crash are Hyrule Warriors Definitive (multiple times) and Xenoblade 2 (it's only happened once in almost 500 hours, so I'm not clear on the cause), so it's amusing to hear about another case lol

If i wanted a game where I could fly around anywhere, I'll just replay Gravity Rush 1 and 2.
You also get a fun story and great characters.
I honestly didn't have any serious issues with gun gun pixies. Only thing that bothered me was the camera. The jumping thing was hit or miss but didn't ruin my experience with the game. But let's be real, the camera is clumsy and awkward on purpose and we all know why.... Also, strange that it's mentioned that the game was hurried. It had been out on the vita for a good while. I doubt IF(I) "hurried" it to port it over. So it coming off like a rushed port seems very weak. Then again, you had the switch version(I have it on PC), for which I'm sure sacrifices had to be made(IIRC, the platform release was unilateral) . To me at least, gun gun pixies was certainly not dis-hop-pointing.
Also, really wanted to give left alive a play because it looks like it has potential. But from what people are telling me, it's very, very mediocre and tried to do too much. Which is a bit of a shame because it looks like it's a visual game and plays well.
