DarkenedFantasies aka Darky goes on a Mustang hunt in his Me-262. The score screen said 14, so it's 14. This was flown on realistic, believe it or not. Most of the enemy AIs are actually veterans, but please complain about the AI, it really helps a lot and goes a long way!

Pierre Clostermann's accounts said it would do 900kph at tree tops to evade radar and even with one engine down it outran his tempest until the Napier engine overheat and he angrily had to give up pursuit.
It was relative. Of course a skilled pilot flew it like how we fly gen 4 jets these days, but attacking propeller aircraft with guns presented a serious risk for mid-air collisions, and the engine could cut out every time you flew past a cloud of burning debris. It was also unrefined at the controls, according to some top Luftwaffe aces and Eric Winkle Brown

but let me say you something freeb, a fucking soviet biplane PO-2 shooted down not 1 but 2 F-84 Starfire during the Korean War, and that is way more humiliating.

This is probably late, but what it actually is is a control that says "gunsight view". It actually does position the view infront of the gunsight.

I made a custom game with over 50 kills before. Had them lined up for take off and dropped an Atomic Bomb.
If this was realistic the Mustangs would have shot at him in his chute after he bailed out. There were a few incidents where German jet pilots were strafed either in their cutes or on the ground.

The sound effects of the 4 MK-108 cannons seems to be not modeled correctly. Each cannon fires around 650 rounds per minute. The 108 fired triggered by solenoids. In the 262 the four cannons were electrically sychonized to fire one after each other in order to maximize the density of the stream of bullets. Lets assume that due to the synchonization the rate of fire of each cannon drops to 500 rounds a minute. All togehter a rate of fire of around 2000 rounds a minute is achieved. These are 33 rounds each second. And this sounds not like a bam-bam-bam as in the video. It sounds like a low frequency roaring. More like a deep brrrrrrrrrt.
The pilot in this only fired two guns at a time, to have a longer firing duration. Btw, I know how to change sounds, we could make a more fitting one.

American fighter pilots could only dream of such fire power! Why we didn't up-gun our aircraft is still a mystery that goes unanswered.
It was better than British 303. How would you like 6 0.5 inch machine guns shooting at you
American fighter pilots were rarely involved in shooting down heavily armoured German bombers. 6 x 0.5" heavy machine guns was quite sufficient for downing the relatively fragile German fighters. And in the Pacific, hardly any of the Japanese aircraft had self-sealing fuel tanks, so 6 .50's with incendiary ammunition was enough to set them on fire.
Also, fighters with cannons generally exhausted their cannon ammunition supply a lot faster than their machine gun ammunition supply, because the cannon rounds were so much bulkier. And American pilots liked to have lots of ammunition, preferably over 30 seconds worth. So 15 seconds worth of cannon ammunition didn't feel like enough firing time.
So that's why upgrading to cannons wasn't a high priority for the Americans. They were satisfied with the firepower they had.
Effective range is another issue. 50 caliber 400 yards max 20 mm 600 yd effective

It’s doubtful the actual total confirmed 262/Mustang kills ever reached 14.
Germany had 30 jet aces, so it could easily happen going into combat 3 to 4 times a day.
They lost about 2000 Mustangs and not all of them to ground fire.

No, it is not - Major G.P. Eder alone catched a handful of Mustangs - and so did others. And I am pretty sure he did not search for the Mustangs at all. He went for the bomber. Google it.
Question, what gun range did you set? It is quite impressive to see you shot down the plane without even aiming.
@@Fishyyy Why 222m if I might ask? I know this is a personal thing, but I am learning to shoot, it is hard to aim and shoot the gun even I kind of know the enemy distance and the gun range I set (200m), my bullets still go offset. I fly the BF-109G.
