Kyrie eleison is "a Greek phrase meaning Lord have mercy, used as an invocation in the Roman Catholic, Anglican, and Greek Orthodox churches." The repetition of the phrase sort of makes sense, like a prayer being chanted, it is hypnotic🙂

Hi, it's pronounced kee-ree-ay. It's from Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Greek for 'Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy.' This is prayed in Greek or in English during Catholic Mass. Love your channel!! ♥️♥️

Kyrie eleison means "Lord Have Mercy" and is part of the liturgy of Orthodoxy Christianity including the catholic church. It is greek or latin.

Honestly when I heard this album (3 big hits on it) in the 80's I thought they would become a super group but sadly after that they never could reproduce the magic again.

I used to sing in our Roman Catholic Church choir as a young teen …this song is beautiful. We always sang the Kyrie Eleison at Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve

    Thanks for the reaction!
The band's name is Mr. Mister, the singer is Richard Page. The producers of the official video handed out minicams to the band members to do candid shots on tour and the resulting footage is most of what was used to splice it together. You might enjoy it!
From the Greek "Kyrie eleison" - pronounced "KEER-ee-ay il-AY-iss-on", meaning "Lord, have mercy"
The lyrics are a prayer. They're literally saying "Lord have mercy down the road that I must travel. Lord have mercy through the darkness of the night. Lord have mercy where I'm going will you follow. Lord have mercy on a highway in the Light!"

I love this channel. I sincerely appreciate the time you 2 put in. I love watching you 2 discovering alot of songs I grew up on. And you are right Savio. The way our so called politicians and such these day's sow distrust. That is why I am thankful for people like you. And I wouldn't worry about if you pronounce some words wrong. We ALL do it. I know for a fact if I got to come to India and tried pronouncing words alot of people would be chuckling if not laughing out loud. I would be laughing at myself once you or Kirti corrected me. Stay safe. Be happy and let's enjoy each others love for music. God Bless you all.

Latin - Kyrie - Lord - Eleison - Have Mercy
Lord Have Mercy on the road I must travel! Ruach is Hebrew for Wind, so he mentions :
The wind blows hard against this mountainside
Across the sea into my soul
It reaches into where I cannot hide
Setting my feet upon the road
So he is being filled with the Holy Spirit.
The group got our generation into studying Latin, NT Greek, & Hebrew to understand this song!
This was released in 1985 in my Senior Year of High School, and I felt like the future was unfolding with this song, as I would graduate in 1986, and my feet would hit the road for college, and I KNEW Yahweh/God would be with me.
Song is as great today as it was 37 years ago! The entire "Welcome To The Real World" album is a treat to listen to!

Love you both - your honest reactions are always great; and I love your eclectic musical tastes. I know you've done The Grateful Dead before, but the only way to listen to the Dead is live. I would love to see you react to a real performance where they go from a "space jam" into the song live. One of my favorite versions of "Fire on the Mountain" - please react to this. Thank you! ruclips.net/video/5pOKqcaR-A0/видео.html
