That sound is *immense*! Your chops can make just about anything sound good...but this kit just has a wonderful punchiness of its own. Thanks for the awesome demo and review!
I watch lots of good drummers playing high end kits and, to be honest, they all sound great. That said, these Yamaha drums really stand out and have a clean fat sound that projects so well. This is an awesome, beautiful kit and some nice playing too.
So extra weight on the bass drum improves the sound, great I will get my 1990 pearl export bass drum back in action, it's got a big heavy Tom mount with long ,heavy arms and big old long tuning lugs. Real heavy, so it turns out we were all fooled into buying low mass lugs etc. Hahaha.
awesome playing, Yamaha drums have never been for me personally but good sounding kit. I guess the one thing I never liked is their mounting system I always believed drilling into the shell to mount takes away alot from the drum
I could play Yamaha if Tama never works out professionally. Both are brilliant Japanese companies. Tama has a slight edge on its pinnacle sound and quality construction. But Yamaha definitely dumps on most other overrated companies like DW
The only companies that seem to have a constantly good sound to their kits in demos are Tama, Yamaha, and Sonor. Sonor probably has my favored sound but their lack of more affordable kits is a bit unfortunate.
The Sound Quality, The Finish And Your Performance Rocks 👍👍🎶🎶🎸Perfection Man.
✨ Perfect drum sound achievement unlocked ✨

the kit sounds incredible, but moreover your playing and that syncopated kick/hats groove near the end is stellar!
Those splash grooves!
You really did an amazing job demoing the kit and showing off its tone properly, man, thanks!
dayummmnnnn! that sound. perfect. that snare defines what a SNARE should be. oh..and that playing. so sweet.
Awesome tuning with those stock heads.
I've already owned one of these kits AND i plan to buy another in this finish. Cheers !
Gotta love your grooves!
Thanks!
Yep! Maybe the best sounding kit!
Kit sounds awesome & nice playing..
Love the sound and finish. Plus it's epic you're a Brighton lad at BE!

Maybe the best sounding kit out there!
Amazing kit but I'm curious about the cymbals, specially those hats they sound reaaally tasty
Those toms are incredible!
Ben, you are a Monster! Billy and Simon would be proud! How do the tour customs for a 3rd of the price hold up against this kit?
Great review, and playing as always - Also, big ups to Bea for the videography!
Damn, what a guy..
love the drum's ben terrific playing!.wow!.cheers.
These drums sound more for recording than live. They sound perfect.
Ben Lad! Please Please Please tell me what the big crash is over your hats!! Great playing and demo as ever sir!
Great kit and play
I'm a lowly bassist so correct me if I'm wrong, but was that a Cobhamesque groove at the end? Killer vid Ben!
Its actually a Terry Bozzio ostinato.
@@sullysullster8217 Aaaaaah okay cool, good to know!
Awesome drumming! That kit looks and sounds beautiful!
Sounds so good
hey, very nice video! i would be interessted in your recording setup and how much you mixed of it afterwards. cheers
very nice ! What do you think about this kit vs the Absolute hybrid maple ?
How would you compare these drums to the Absolute Hybrid Maple drums? Thanks! These sound great!
Awesome review!
Thank you!

Oak sounds great, like mahogany and maple combined punch ,projection and warm. I have a maple tour custom snare but it's not great.

Well after hearing this do you still think it takes away from the sound?
playings gone solid guy :)
confident
Thanks!
So, if Im taking this the right way. Is it safe to assume you're now a Yamaha artist?
What size splashes are those???? 🤤😩
Sounds niceeeee!
😳
They seem like they’d be good recording too no? Focused and tight
Oh wow this vid came out today so I should be one of the top comments yay!
3:05 Jill Scott groove.
Really enjoy the drums sound. But your playing is better than the drums for sure
Daniel Radcliffe now plays drums
Expelliarmus 😘
