My experience so far is great
How bright is the backlight? My backlight seems dim even in a dark room.
For comparison, it seems brighter than my BlackBerry KeyOne
What about if you drop your phone ? Is it protected
Do you mean does the case protect the phone when dropped, or can the case survive a drop?
In either scenario, I haven't tested it. The case is a snug fit so it holds the phone in place, and the raised edges keep the screen from touching surfaces. I do not feel a sense of confidence in it sustaining repeated drops though. I baby this thing and replace my case every time I'm done using the keyboard.
@@TheAndresSegovia thank you for your reply so you wouldn't not recommend this as a 24/7 case ?
@@elizabethcarinaguzman9922 I think that's up to the user.
I have the iPhone 13, missed it by [ ] much.
Ha! I know, right? Hopefully, if demand is high and the product is well received, it will get wider support.
Does MagSafe still work?
Clicks posted this to their product line:
“Clicks is not a Made for MagSafe accessory. In our testing, we have found that the iPhone will still connect to many MagSafe wireless chargers. However, other MagSafe accessories may not work as expected. We are considering a Made for MagSafe version of Clicks in the future. What customers have done is add a MagSafe ring to Clicks.”
Dude, thank you for answering and for the info. You the man
@mill335 Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
I want to return this case but customer service never wants to respond to me. Don’t recommend at all.
Why don't you recommend
This seems like one of those “solutions in search of a problem” kind of thing….
Thing is gargantuan…
Actually, Clicks isn't the first to attempt this product for iPhone. Lots of BlackBerry users migrated to iOS over Android and often wish they had a physical keyboard to go with it.
The last time a product like this came out, BlackBerry sued it into oblivion:
www.theverge.com/2015/6/1/8696991/blackberry-typo-keyboard-lawsuit-settlement
And yes, it does make a much taller phone. I think that will be a turn off for most.
It will garner a cult following at best, which will make it challenging to continue to market, bugfix and manufacture... This is just an IMO take however.....
What happened to the other manufacturer making such a product?
I can't imagine sacrificing that much space of my daily carry, to simply have, a physical keyboard....
I don't miss physical keyboards on phones, and I grew up with T9, and had physical Qwerty keyboards on Windows PDA's, hiptops and nokia n95. A thankful relic of the past in my opinion...
need a bigger board on your iphone? Type in landscape !!!
The concept only truly works when it is integral to the device.... Eliminating issues like lag, and stupid form factor.
The company should consider manufacturing an Android, with a physical keyboard.
I would not hold my breath for apple to do it.
I hear yah there.
Here is an android device with a physical keyboard called the Unihertz Titan. It's not really supported by the company so I didn't go for it.
I, too, have used various products over the years. Having been on BlackBerry for nearly a decade, the typing experience was just nothing like it. And I don't think there ever will be. Even the Android-powered BlackBerry devices couldn't live up to it.
I think the best designed version of an all touchscreen device with a physical keyboard is the slide up form factor BlackBerry Priv. A second Gen with proper specs would've been a hit.
@@TheAndresSegovia yeah, The Windows PDA I owned featured a slide out keyboard, but even with the board deployed the size and shape still made sense and would be tolerable even if it didn’t fold away.
I believe it was a HP… pretty cool device.
Perhaps the next iteration of the click should be a case that offers a slide out/deployable keyboard, and usb passthrough….
I think having a thick case is a far easier sell, than having a really long iPhone.
Or perhaps, a more easily engineered solution, will be a case with the usb pass through, and a slide on locking mechanism, similar to a Nintendo switch, where the keyboard can be slid on and off….
And it should have a retainer to slide on, when the keyboard is not attached, so the bottom of the case does not have uncomfortable ridges.
The keyboard could also then be used wirelessly, maybe, or as a premium version of the product at an increased price…. To cover the battery cost, and Bluetooth antenna….
May be handy as a tool for giving a slideshow/speech, advancing slides, while you screencast from phone to a TV or projector.
