I used to run a pure spirit deck way way back when, I dont recall how long ago now, but at the time I ended up using battlefader, treeborn frog and chain summoning in order to get the required amount of normal summons to do crazy things! I think the highest I got in one turn was 5 normal summons? This allowed you to aratama into nikitama into dark dust into fen haung, then into yamata dragon or hino kaga suchi! I dont 100% recall the exact play patern. Thanks for the video I loved seeing what modern spirits can do I always loved them.
The first time I read Tsumuha I just knew I had to find a way to play him. I’ve also messed around with using Kaijus and board breakers as well as Utopia Double. It was very entertaining to see someone with a similar thought process. I have no idea why I never thought of Battle Fader! Makes so much sense. I also love the cheeky Chaos Angel combo too. I personally like to find room for Yata, it’s always funny to watch someone exhaust their hand and then Tsumuha into a Yata next turn.
Yeah Tsumuha is so cool because he's so incredibly unique. I'm sure there's tons of cool things and combos to implement into the deck! As someone else mentioned in the comment section, including spirit of yubel as some sort of battle fader alternative/addition could also be worth! :D the amazing thing is that the lvl 6 spirit is dark, whilst 2 of the lvl 4 spirits are light which gives chaos angel both effects. That alone can be a win con against decks that rely mostly on monster effects :D I've had yata in my previous spirit deck iteration & then i was able to yata lock my opponent they almost always scooped instantly xD but it's definitely far from consistent
@@HeyIamPaddy oh no doubt, I’ve ran into consistency issues for sure with Yata, I’ve ran builds with Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi too but the double tribute is super rough so he barely ever comes up. He actually felt a lot better in Shinobirds since you end up with so much tribute fodder and he gets MASSIVE under power spot and can be searched with it 😂 I always forget Spirit of Yubel has a battle phase effect! That’s an interesting way to take the deck for sure. I wonder if it could have decent synergy with a version of a spirit deck. Though Tsumuha has such a wild effect it’s REALLY tough to find synergies around it. At least I’ve had a lot of trouble with it.
I play a spirit deck at my locals all the time! Lord of Swords is super underrated. Everyone laughs when they see you play spirits, until they realize what you're capable of. Between a control variant like this, and another version I like playing that uses some of the Nepthys cards to get Sacred Flame out with 3 rituals, Tsumuha is an absolute staple for me, and among, if not my favorite of the spirit cards.
To be honest...I think most people who don't play the lord of swords barely understand the card don't really know what to do xD he is definitely my favourite spirit card for sure, super unique & cool looking! :D
If you go for full Spirit, you should play Hiro-Kagu-Tsuchi in order to do battle damage with him so that your oponent discards their entire hand after their next draw phase in order to further protect you. You can also play the Floowandereeze continues spell in order to tribute your opponents cards for your monsters, that with double summon, you also could play Morganite but Sakitama wouldn't work anymore. But you can test what suits you better, there is also a Sword of Revvealing light trap that you can banish from your gy to prevent a battle phase. If you want to go crazy maybe consider to play a small Labrynth package, because after Kutsunagis effect, you are very vulnerable. If you play the Labrynth hand traps, you can make a decent enough board to survive.
It's the first time I noticed the baby spirits in the card artwork because of this thumbnail lul, I play in mobile so zooming the card doesn't really reveal a lot on a small screen lmao
@@HeyIamPaddy I have battle fader as well and one where arf thou. For the flower or battle. If they choose to draw cards hopefully you draw another spirit of yubel or battle fader

Yeah i discovered that way too late as well xD
I use spirits with yubel now to protect on battle phase
oooh that sounds quite interesting, could be about as valuable as battle fader
@@HeyIamPaddy I have battle fader as well and one where arf thou. For the flower or battle. If they choose to draw cards hopefully you draw another spirit of yubel or battle fader
I'll probably include spirit of yubel into my spirit deck, thanks for the idea!
I have a spirit deck but I never really understand the win con. Thanks for the vid. 😅
You're welcome!
