Because of the effect of Gravekeeper's Chief. The card says that your own graveyard is not affected by Necrovalley. :) That card was the whole idea of this deck

I've adapted it slightly to the current tenpai meta. I've removed evenly matched, cause tenpai makes you go first and you probably wouldn't survive a battle phase. I've reduced the number of cards to 40 for maximum consistancy. I've also removed nibiru cause you cannot activate it in battle phase. I've also added One Day of Piece for the guaranteed survival of the next battle phase.

Thank you very much :) yeah 3 imperm is absolutely fine no doubt, although i have to say that i really like both field spells and tenchi kaimei alone has won me duels. The pop during the battle phase is not once per turn btw, its for every single attack AND the effect whenever its destroyed can also come in clutch and has done so for me a few times. But i would think it especially good in todays tenpai meta with all its destruction effects

@@HeyIamPaddy Yeah it definitely adds pressure. In TCG I side it and swap it out with Village depending on the opponent. I just don't know that I'd run both. if it works it works though

Hmm I think Crusadia cards have an easier game plan and are less expensive. So in that sense I do believe they are more valuable than mekk knight cards but if you plan on trying to make Mekk knights work, you have my full support! :D

Yeah it was super RNG that I won at the end, he had 2 cards left in his deck at one point, meaning one of the two cards left was probably the last piece of exodia he was missing XD

Was looking at it although possible as a way to start play keep in mind really only Don Ying is worth it for the search plus eats your normal and locks out of extra deck but may not be a super bad play still depending

I've tried metaphys and I like the deck but I feel like it doesn't really work too well atm :/ So I prefer the good old reliable Gravekeeper :D

That's completely fair, I've actually seen that version as well but I just prefer Horus due all the value you get from Horus. You get searchers, potential ash blossom bait, OTK potential, monster negate, spell negate, raw horus board & discarding the gate guardian spells gives you access to the gate guardian monsters, which you can also use as discard fodder on top of being able to summon gate guardians combined when tthey're all in grave. It's just sooo much value

Yes. Sangen summoning only protects fire dragons from activated effects during the main phase & kairyu shins floodgate effect is not an activated effect. If they cannot out Kairyu shin, they've lost. That being said, tenpai usually run tons of board breakers.
