That's completely fair, I've actually seen that version as well but I just prefer Horus due all the value you get from Horus. You get searchers, potential ash blossom bait, OTK potential, monster negate, spell negate, raw horus board & discarding the gate guardian spells gives you access to the gate guardian monsters, which you can also use as discard fodder on top of being able to summon gate guardians combined when tthey're all in grave. It's just sooo much value
