    Something I learnt, you don't need to hold the food while it eats it for the bar to go up. If you wanna tame it without a trap, you just have to drag the food as close as you can to it then drop it and run when it starts sniffing. I don't recommend this this though because it constantly attacks other creatures and sometimes tricks you into thinking it's after the food you dropped but it's really just after another dino.

    ok this might be too late but here's how someone that has been one month in ark does it consistently, I use baby diplo or baby spino wich are easier to tame as rexes for a early carcha, traps bug them so they sometimes don't ear when trapped, solution is too go out of render and if your lucky enough he will bug out of the trap and ruin your trap, so they way I do it is way easier, us a ghillie suit drag the Dino to him when not on rage let him get the sniff animation once he is going towards you drop the body and he will eat it, make sure that when you ride it you have food and water, you don't want to die of starvation due to cold, remember you might die once you tame him so make sure you have a flier at your base too

    It's not fool-proof, the Carcha can get aggro'd on the trap and refuse to eat the dino you're dragging. No trap and clear the area, so it can't aggro to anything 👍

    feed it 1 unconscious unclaimed rex with 50-50 points in health and even a 150 carch is insta tamed!

    What is the recommended weight upgrade to carry dead dinos. I’m planing to tame Trikes and use them as food.

    • @Nutz2002
      @Nutz2002  Год назад

      the dino's carry weight doesn't change the taming speed! The drag weight changes it. Each dino comes with its own drag weight, so a trike might be 150, where a rex is 175, the higher that number the faster it will tame. You can find more in depth info on the ark wiki!

  • @Just_Jolly

    If the the carcha kills a wild creature this means it will NOT eat any dragged food for 10 seconds after it killed the wild dino, it will try to kill you instead.

    • @Nutz2002
      @Nutz2002  Год назад

      no unlike other dino's the carchar's taming rate is based on drag weight. So basically the bigger the dino is, the faster it will tame.

  • @DarthJar_Jar

    An even better, faster, and more efficient way to tame these amazing beasts-
    1. Get 2 dinos with high drag weight, (spinos, rexes/tek rexes, etc)
    2. Breed them
    3. Bring the babies to where the carcha is
    4. Kill the baby
    5. Drag the baby to the carcha until it starts sniffing the air
    6. Drop the body and run like hell, (but not too far away that you can't see the circle above the carcha)
    7. If there's a green circle above it's head, hop on it, eat some rare flowers, and go eat stuff.

  • @WhoAmI5153_
    @WhoAmI5153_ 11 месяцев назад

    It's not by weight someone actually found out that it's determined by the health of a dino so get a gasbag or diplo and just feast

  • @dillongage
    @dillongage 7 месяцев назад

    Be very careful with where you place that trap btw. Accidentally put one on a slight slope once and the giga was able to magically levitate its way right out of the trap using nothing but the tip of one claw and sheer force of will.
    It did NOT end well. Lots of dead tribe mates and even more scattering into the forest to take their chances with the sabers and raptors.
