Would love to see how bright the glow in the dark stones are at night. What a clever idea to use them on your handmade pavers. So cute!
Your designs are beautiful! Thank you for the tutorial!
Great tutorial with detailed instructions and many different examples to make. Also love the paw-print stepping stone. So cute!
Well made video. Thank you for the instructions and the inspiration.
What you call a Pail, we call a bucket, we also add sand to the mix and /or small stone for a more hardened finish, also steel wire for extra durability 👍🏻🇬🇧
Correct . I think that stones are going to be slippery specially when wet.
Gosh! The finished product speaks for itself. There's always different ways of doing DIYs. I think she did a fine job and her stones turned out so cute! It's a privilege these wonderful artists and crafters enjoy sharing their time and talents with us.
Happy to have found your channel what a great idea and the explaintions are clear , thanks will be making some.
The trick to putting in the stones first is that they ensure those items will be level and not pop up too much making stepping on the actual stone awkward but the only thing that you missed was the last step in that process and that is to take a round wire brush attachment on the drill and polish the concrete surface and that would have exposed your stones. You can still do this to your stones too. They came out super cute!
Wow one of the best stepping stone videos! I love that you added what not to do. Ty for sharing❤️
thank you for the sand tip
Great tutorial! They came out cute!
Good job I've always wanted to make stepping stones.
Thanks for the Video. It looks like fun, I'm going to make one. Can you tell me the size of your margarine container? Best to you!
I love the paw prints
The designs are nice. But you forgot a really important step. You need to add hardware cloth to the center of the stone to help prevent breakage.
Love the idea for garden markers
DWU, A step in the right direction... very nice Vlog
I love it. So beautiful! Thank you for the wonderful idea!
Use a damp sponge to smooth the top before it dries
So pretty 😍
Love this … thanks for the information!
They look amazing
Sooo cool!

Very cute!
I really like paint mixer👍
Awesome ty! 💖
Beautiful ☺️
Thank you beautiful job
Very cool!
Fantastic, thank you!
I just LOVE this tutorial. Great job. Can you tell me what size tub you used? They look bigger than the big butter tubs.
Thanks! They we the large margarine containers. Sorry I don't remember the size of them. But I do believe they were from Presidents Choice Food Store.
@@dwu-thequeenofrandom // thank you for replying. That helps so much.❤❤
Всяко красиво нещо е когато си го направиш сам!И става прекрасно!
Do you know the approximate measurement of the container? I was considering using a 12 x 16 aluminum container.
This is great ty! What was the tool that you did want instead of the scrapper?
I think it is called a putty knife
@@dwu-thequeenofrandom // or a trowl
These are great! How thick/deep did you pour for each stone?
About 3 inches
Did you use just a regular plastic Tupperware like to pour it in and did you coat it or just straightpore it in and it came out of the mold easily
Did you apply something first on the plastic to avoid from the cement curing to the containers?
No, once the cement dried it popped right out of the containers.
Why would anyone give this a thumb down..!!!
Awesome thank you
great tutorial ...did you paint the stepping stone later? they looked white at the end of the video
Thank you! After they dried completely they turned to a light grey.
@@dwu-thequeenofrandom thanks!
How long do the glowing rocks last how long does the glow last
Really depends on the day. Full day of sun. A good Couple hours.
beautiful thanks for sharing your creativity. Have subscribed.
Does it have to be a plastic container
no you don't have to use a plastic container
Did the stone last the year? We made a bunch for Mother’s Day wondering if I can leave out 24/7 or bring in ?
These that I made in this video I still have, they did last. But if you make them too thin and step on them they will break. So you would want to put something strong like a couple small bars to make them stronger to step on if you would like them thinner. You can leave them out side. If you are are making them and letting them dry its ok to leave them out side as long as they don't get wet. After they dry and cure its totally fine to get wet if raining.
Hope I answered your questions!
@@dwu-thequeenofrandom Ty, this did answer my question.
I wish you would have shown you popping the stone out from the container when it dried.. other than that great video
That's what I wanted to see as well.
It should just pop out that's why you use plastic because the concrete doesn't adhere to it.
Since it just fell out she probably didn't see a need to demonstrate.
@@SugarCreekOffGrid - Thank you. I am doing stepping stones for the first time, so I welcome any and all information to help my project go smoothly. So, thank you.
do you sell any of your stepping stones
Tip: add mortar to water not the other way around.
Question: what’s the word she uses for bucket? Pale?
What I was using was margarine containers. They worked. You can use what ever mold you like.
It's spelled Pail and yes some people call it that. What's up with people worried about her word for it.
@@craftsNstuffBamma it’s just an interest in language nothing sinister.
Thanks anyway.
Do the pavers come out of the mould easily or do you have to break the mould to get it out?
mine just slid right out
You didn't show how to get them out
She said at the end that they just slid right out. I think if you flip it over after it dries, it comes out easily
so tiny
Annoying background music put me off watching in full
good to know! I have been using almost no music in my newer videos.
Turn off the sound and use closed caption. I do it all the time.
