One of the best FD videos I’ve seen. Lots of good insights and advice. It would be great if you released just the Lake Michigan pier footage. Mistakes happen at the end of the session. For me, I was climbing up a ladder on a break wall and I put the controller in my pocket without turning it off. As I climbed the ladder, the trigger got stuck and my board cruised right into the wall. Board got scratched up good and luckily I got out scar free.

Oh man, thankful I didn't have that experience. I did have a wave hit the trigger walking out. Lesson learned. -Tucker

great video Tucker and Ryan, thanks! would love to hear about your experience using it to wing in light air when you get a chance.

It's an absolute cheat code for winging in light winds. It takes a session of tinkering to get all the settings/details honed in perfect but totally worth it. I really like that you can ride your normal "good wind" board/foil and don't need to bring/buy as much gear. Plus, if the wind shuts off, you can keep riding and have a blast. -Tucker

an Oceanus Reel Leash is good for Foil drive , does not get in the way or tangle in the prop

For sure. I do tend to prefer the Kaohi Inviz myself but the Reel works too.

Very nice and helpful video guys! I am waiting for my gen 2. I am on f-one boards and foils too. Which one do you use?

We test it all but F-one is always a shop favorite. In this video I'm riding a DW Carbon 120L and Unifoil Progression 140. For F-one foils, the Eagle 890, Sk8 foils with C200 monbloc are my go-to foils. -Tucker

What mast lengths do you prefer. I assume with the thickness of the battery box you may opt for the next shorter size to "duplicate" your regular length?

It would depend on the situation and conditions of the day but I typically ride the same size I'd normally ride without the FD. 75-80 for dw/prone and 80-90cm for winging. -Tucker

Please do something about the background to make it more interesting. I miss Tucker's home in the forest and this is so dull in comparaison 😅

I'll be sure to hit some from home base soon Tom. Glad you like it and the animal noises aren't too distracting. Maybe one of these days I'll do a review and walk around the homestead to meet all the animals. -Tucker
