Phil you can fix everything, even this old car, no wonder Billy trusted you his car to you…he knows you can do it. Respect, for both of you, and this is what friends do, helping each other. Thank you.
You are so clever, Mr.Phil, owner of famous Bird Sanctuary and Shangrila Chateau...Nothing you can't do! Wow. Just subscribed to your miracle automotive video show...very interesting... Never got the amazing tutorials you give us from my dad, when he was repairing the family cars. You are a gifted teacher. No wonder you have 10,000+ subscribers. You are a natural...Thank you for an interesting presentation. Stay safe and well.
Well done on getting the Range Rover started, Phil! I appreciate how well you explain what you are doing and what it takes to accomplish the task at hand. Very enjoyable video! Looking forward to the next one!
Well that was a happy surprise! Considering it’s background, it is miraculous to hear it’s engine purr the way it did. Looking forward to seeing it roadworthy and Billy at the wheel. Carry on Phil🙏🏼❤️
Good morning from the SF Bay Area. Wow, Phil, you are amazing. Although I don't work on cars I do all kinds of other restorations. I love seeing what other people do. Have fun!
You are so clever at so many things Phil! And I love watching to see what you get into! Or what Billy manages to talk you into! But then, what are friends for?!!😂😂
Love watching this project. I always wished I could have been a mechanic, but my parents would hear of it, boys where mechanics, engineers, plumbers etc back in those days 🥲🥲. Really enjoying your vlog. K🇬🇧❤
You are magical Phil! I love old cars and especially when they have been re-born, for lack of a better word! If anyone can pull this gem together, you can. So glad it started!!!
Phil I think you may have a sticking solenoid. I'd pull out the starter motor and give it a good clean out. Nice tickover when you got it running. No knocking so that's a big plus.
Even when myself and my 5 brothers were very young, 1 of my brothers would and could take apart literally anything and put it back together. Back in the late 70's and 80's, there always seemed to be a carburetor cooking in a large pot on the back burner of the stove lol. I think he personally rebuilt the carburetors of every other teenager's muscle car in our area. He earned quite a bit of money doing this. But I think he also spent it all on gas as cruising town or running the back roads was the in thing to be doing in that era. ** He continues to work for a Fortune 100 manufacturing company keeping their machinery & equipment running smoothly.
Congratulations! The engine does sound sweet. Who knows what a fresh tune up could bring to its performance. I like the ball cap you were wearing. Is it available online? 👍👍👍
Without watching the video my first thought was of course it will, Phil is working on it. I just can't imagine any alternative. Now to watch it to see how much work is needed to get it turning over. I didn't say it was going to be easy just that I have faith in you to get it going.
Made me laugh when you almost put the wrong jumper lead on that battery terminal…ah, the memories of learning that mistake and scaring the crap out of myself😂 I was surprised it sounded as good as it did when it started, wasn’t what I was expecting at all! Good job Phil! 👍
Glad it started, always a great sound, one less worry for sure. Sounds like you are going to be busy with cars for a while too. Staying busy helps the day go faster believe me I know. You have a great day
Good call on doing a "Will it run?" Tick that box off. more panels are good, but might want check the trans and differentials too before getting too much further into the body work. Keep up the good work!
People who do this engine stuff seem like magicians to me, well done.
I'm with you there! Who knew there was so much involved outside of pushing the button or turning the key? 😂😂😂
I totally agree! Definitely not my area of expertise.
Good work Phil!
Phil, I’m not really a car enthusiast but because I want to support you, I might just learn a thing or two. Good job getting it started!
Phil you can fix everything, even this old car, no wonder Billy trusted you his car to you…he knows you can do it. Respect, for both of you, and this is what friends do, helping each other. Thank you.
I was jumping for joy when it started and loved that your buddy came over to share your triumph. Well done Phil 😊
Ok, it starts. No rebuilding the engine from parts, just tweaking bits. Big relief. Carry on! We’ll watch.
I have faith in your mechanical abilities, Phil. Billy will be ecstatic when the Range Rover rides again!

It is very hard to get the car to turnover (started) after a long time of sitting off to the side.
