Having lived this rock n roll lifestyle in 1990 - early 2000s Seattle music scene this film looks authentically frightening. I’ve been clean and sober for 12 years and now happily live in the suburbs with my cat. I had a helluva lot of fun but it will ruin your life. Stay away from musicians and drugs, kids.
Musicians is kinda vague. Like i think the university trained “real estate” are probably fine.
Don’t blame your choices on others. 90% of musicians are hacks posing to be musicians because they’re lame and want some cred. Real musicians are wonderful people.
This was the poser scene and it shows. This girl just have personality crisis. This makes real girl bands like L7 look like a bunch of losers.

When the 2/3 of film is great and then the end is a super cheese Hollywood drama. When female rock star with one miscared child is a monster, but male one with 8, is just called Mick Jagger.
But amazing performances from Elisabeth Moss and Agyness Deyn! They both deserve all the love.
I'd definitely go to a concert with Moss and Vox Lux as headliners, not sure if this gives any reason to watch the movie though

I don’t get it. I was so bored by Elizabeth Moss’ character in this. It felt so cliche. I feel like you can have an actress play a real life musician or you can have a musician actress play a fictional musician, but you can’t have an actress play a fictional musician. It just feels inauthentic to me. Just my opinion.
