It took me a few listens for the Smile album to sink in for me but now I really love it. And seeing them live really helped with that sinking in, but then Scott, you know how amazing Thom and Colin are live. Free in the Knowledge is for sure my favorite; I think it's just beautiful. Also echo the rec for Skrting on the Surface.
I recommend showing him Bending Hectic at some point. It’s their newest release so it’ll be cool to show him that and after a song front the drill EP to see just how far they’ve come. Probably the other way around is best but either way, seems like it’ll work
If you do The Smile again you need to listen to skrting on the surface. Im pretty sure its an older radiohead unreleased song but this album version is so good!
I hope the next one is I might Be Wrong.
For me this is somewhat akin to Glass Eye, which also has a reflective narrative.
A very folky sound in the instrumentation and Thom’s vocal tones.
Yay! My favorite Smile song, along with Thin Thing

bending heretics from the Smile might be their best. its incredible. give it a listen!
Yes don't skip Bending Hectic guys
U must do “we don’t know what tomorrow brings “ - the smile. It’s a lot more Radiohead so u might like it

Coolcoolcoolcool. Yes.
Streets ahead.
Whats the smile?
Is it like atoms for peace?
Less electronical. Experimental with the time signatures.
More varied.
It's better imo.
Also, it has Jonny fully involved, so it feels a bit more Radiohead-like than AFP did.
Video feedback: I'm not liking when the song is playing, we see you two talking but your sound is muted. Feels like we're being left out
Do u like future islands?
They have side project: art lord and the self portraits....
30 seconds in.. jeez this song sucks lol
