I used this to test my FALD HDR monitor. Its an Acer Predator X27 that has 350 back lit zones. OOOffff it looked absolutely horrible LOL. The blooming made the screen practically grey between all the stars. And this is why we all love OLED!
Yeah, LCD just won't look as good. Although it depends on the display tech (TN, VA, IPS) and individual monitors. Some are better, some are worse. Mini LED moves closer to OLED
This is something what OLED users can see and it's really like black magic. You must see this with your eyes! I have wasted money for LG CX and this difference comes with a treacherous curse looking onto an LCD ever again. The same feeling described by that scene when Rick let Morty onto the perfect lever.
I've been unable to look at LCD ever since I got a plasma over a decade ago. Total tragedy plasma lost to LCD when it was objectively better. Luckily OLED can carry the torch today.
I got a lg b7 and just purchased a tcl series 8 with 1000 dimming zone. The star are much much brighter on it and dark are almost identical. Thats with mini led. Microleds will give us the ultimate experience. More brightness than any oled same ink black. Its coming finally!
I paid a shitload of money for my OLED TV. But in life it's better to wait and save the money and then enjoy it every time you use it, than to buy cheap(er) and be disappointed every time.
Starting around 0:13 in this clip there are two dots on lower left corner. They're not fully lit and don't move with other starfield looks like dead pixels on my OLED CX but they're not. Scared the crap out of me first time I saw them on CX and my iPhone shows same dots so they're just part of video?
Sorry about that. The dots were hot pixels on my camera sensor. I have now fixed the issue with the camera. All future videos will be free of these dots.
Had this video running on both an oled tv and a lcd 4k monitor. Nearly had an episode seeing the red dots on the oled but when I check the monitor really closely only than I saw it is on both display!
Yes, it happened on my LG Oled TV 4K as well. Glad to know that you experienced it too. I thought it was a defect on my TV screen. 😅You must play this video on a 4K HDR OLED TV to experience the intended effect.
Do you guys see squares all over the place as well? (4k) I wanted to check it out on my QLED but i see discolored blocks of squares everywhere. Like a bad compression. When I pause the video I can move those blocks around by scrolling the website up and down. No idea how to get rid of this, as I do not see the same issue on my laptop
LEDs and QLEDs does not use self emitting diodes compared to Oled. My suggestion is to watch it with the on board RUclips app and turn of any upscaling or image enhancing their ai on your TV. The more expensive option would be to switch to an Oled instead.
@@maansgustafsson I Bought lg bx55 instead i have not checked the stars yet on it.
