    Excellent short instruction video. Well done Bill. I was about to try and remove the entire apparatus, but all it needed was to replace the wheels. Cost me $18.95 (January 2023), took ten minutes plus shopping time. Thanks so much.

    My cat thanks you from the bottom of his heart! He can slide the door all by himself now, without any human help! Only wish he could close it without any human help!

    Thanks - that was really helpful - exactly what I was looking for. Up until I saw your video (and having watched about four others), I didn't know if I had to replace the whole carriage, or could just replace the cracked wheel - now I know, and I have just done it!

    Thanks mate! my idiot dog ran into the door at full pace when playing with my other idiot dog and took it clean off by snapping the little plastic wheel. All fixed thanks to this video. Cheers!

      You can get all metal wheels instead of plastic ones, alot more dollars but the dogs wont break the wheels so easy.

    Hi Bill, it seems like the issue on my door is that the body isn't springing back smoothly. Have you got instructions on how to remove and replace the whole body when there aren't screws or a rivet? There is a single screw perpendicular to the carriage body running through the door but it doesn't look like it fixes into the door itself. Cheers!

    GREAT! Where can i buy these type of roller wheels? Which model are?

  • @nathanlarkin7048
    @nathanlarkin7048 4 года назад +1

    MATE!!! My bodies are riveted in so should I just drill out the rivets so I can place them?? Wheels are TOAST and need replacing and I think one of the bodies is cracked anyway..

    • @billshowto
      @billshowto  4 года назад +1

      If it’s just the wheel you can replace the wheel on it’s own, the wheels pops out with a flat head screw driver. If the body is also damaged then replace the body ( can be purchased in a lot with the wheel about $ 15). The pop rivets need to be drilled out to remove the body. I have a video on removing pop rivets if you are not sure how to do it. 👍

      Billshowto Popped the old ones out.. Found the new ones at Bunnings.. And pressed them in by hand and away we go!! Door slides like a brand new one!! Next to tackle is the internal door..

    Hey Bill, Thanks for the How To video. I'm having the wheel issue on the glass sliding door. How on earth do you remove that from the track? For now I've sprayed the track with silicon and its helped the mrs to be able to slide the glass door.

    Hi Bill. Recently our sliding door (the one with the mesh) came off all of a sudden. I put it back but it wouldn't lock. I checked the top and bottom wheels, they look broken but they seem to be broken since a long time as I could not find any pieces anywhere. Now it won't lock - as if something is stuck in the lock. Do you think replacing the wheels will fix it? Thanks

    • @billshowto
      @billshowto  3 года назад +1

      Hi, you should replace the wheels first then you can adjust the catch position on the door jamb side to line up with the lock

    My husband just replaced the roller wheels on our screen door. It moves so smoothly now. However, when we close the door, it won't close all the way. There is a gap between the door frame and the screen door. It closed fine before the rollers were changed. Any idea what could be causing this?

    • @billshowto
      @billshowto  3 года назад

      Sounds like the lock is not lining up with the catch on the door frame/jamb. Try either adjusting the wheels or re position the catch 👍
