When I was a kid in Michigan in the 1970’s I remember the police found a home-made, palm-size gun on a prisoner in the local county jail. He had fabricated it from cigarette packages and aluminum foil. The bullet was a pencil eraser. The cops took it out to test fire it and it not only worked but the eraser penetrated through a phone book. Damn ingenious these criminals can be!

The Germans were some of the most educated people in the world at one time and after seeing this, I'd say they're some of the most ingenious as well. Though I also think that any prisoners in any prison worldwide, with all that time on their hands can come up with some pretty crafty weapons. Especially if they're lifers and if their state or country doesn't have the death penalty, watch the hell out, they have nothing to lose now have they? Just amazing...

Well in that aspect germans are the same as every other country. French and England had collonies, Spain did it in South America, Turkey in Armenia, China in all countries around, Terror is in most islamic states (to much to mention), Russia did it recently on the Krim, north korea (well...) and Americans do it almost everytime depending on what ressource they need. Mostly oil or way before land from the indianer.

I think it's amazing what these people have come up with. It seems like prison makes some people extremely creative, makes sense considering that there is nothing to do in prisons, lots of free time and you need to look for own safety.

awn98q I was a guard at a prison for a few years. Electric razors can be taken apart and used as tattoo guns or made into weapons. Plus they'd break them most of the time and wouldn't sanitize them. Can you imagine shaving your face when the guy before you shaved his pubes with it and didn't sanitize. Razors are more cost efficient and less troublesome. Just depends on the guard when the inmate gives the razors back. They'd take the razor out of the plastic and replace it with the foil from inside a bag of chips. It looked very convincing to the untrained eye.
Wolfenbüttel is literally only a 10 minutes drive from here. Ive been inside of that prison actually where those weapons were made. (not as a prisoner though).

Roll paper into spikes. "Get the paper and fold it corner to corner, so it makes a triangle shape. cut one side off so it's flat at one end.
Rap the spike in a plastic bag and heat it with a lighter, so it shrinks and hardens, around the spike.
Make a paper tube, that is twice as long as the spike and that the spike just fits though.
Now you have a blow tube that can cause a lot of damage.

you also can make a razor out of a cigarette filter by heating it than pinching it and you can make a weapon by getting a toothbrush and melt a razor on the brush that's about all I know. but if you want protection than tie notebooks to your sides under your shirt that will protect from shivs.

You can obtain anything you want in prison if you've ever been locked up in county there's a reason why life long criminals want to go to the prison as quick as possible and get out of county lock up they want to get there so they can get real food(yes the food is much much better in prison than county) as well as they want to be able to get drugs smokes which cigarettes have been harder to get with all the no smoking in doors laws oh and last for sex either a female guard or lifers dont mind other men sucking them off or fucking them in the ass

I recall seeing a crossbow made by a German POW during his stay in a Canadian prison. It was very well made from components of a box spring mattress. It is on display at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.

i personally think the cross blade is the most dangerous. you can carry it pretty much everywhere and with a single wrist move it can be removed from it's sheath while simultaneously slicing the victims neck. a murder tool that no one would usually even think of, considering it can be literally pretty much any kind of cross

When I was a kid growing up in Nashville, Tn circa late 60s early 70s I was given a tour of weapons taken away from Gang members by the police for an Essay I was writing for school. Some of the homemade weapons were truly brutal with dried blood and hair still attached, like bats with nails driven thru them or barbed wire attached. Zip guns of various calibers were also quite common. I was quite impressed with the ingenuity of some of the weapons also showing, like this video, that a weapon can be made out of virtually anything.
Making a headbanger radio is a great way to do the job.

I made a pen launcher and a OTF switch blade out of popsicle sticks at lunch.
I made a piston spring powered pen gun that's shot the metal ink cartridge at stuff and it worked as I was able to shoot it across the room hit my teacher and get detention😁
I made a led pencil launcher all I did was switch the ends where the led came from with a smaller one so the spring would be constantly pushing on the end and guess what someone else took credit and started selling them
