Yoshie Shiratori wasnt necessarily a bad person. He was more broken than evil to be honest. Lost his father, never knew his mother, forced to hard labour at a young age, poverty stricken for most of his life. All he wanted was someone to treat him with kindness. He knew what he did was breaking the law but just wanted to send a message to the judicial system that the guards mistreating him was wrong. Honestly its like the backstory of an anime villain
the man as the last judge deserved to be in the heaven
yup you bet.@@AtariEntity
@@reosemuel yes
Wow
I watch Demon Slayer every day
Holy cow, this story deserves a full movie to be honest, I got hooked to the story, amazing video.
i think the movie about this is called hagoku
@@SomeMercenary228 Thanks. I will have to watch that.
I want to see the movie
I really got hooked as well and I'm gonna show my dad
Agreed, I would see that movie, DEFINITELY. It’s an amazing story, and it deserves to be more well known
Whoever that final judge was, god bless his soul. Yeah, the guy did horrible things, but he was just escaping horrible treatment, he gave himself up multiple times, not something a horrible criminal would do.
yeah he was i n the right
he didnt really do horrible things, he stole yes but after that he only stole so that the guards wouldnt put him back in prison.
The judge had to use USA reasoning due to post war reforms.
@@xaidenpaxton2292 And he killed someone, forgetting that?
@@BeowulfOceanFalcon Seems you havent listened, one, was self defense, the first alteration, that occured, is unknown which of the two killed the man, but, do you think, if he was murderer, he wouldnt eliminate the guards who harassed him?
A malicious murderer would plan his revemge, whereas, unlucky man only wished to be treated with kindness, the guards slandererd his reputation saying he is ruthless & vicious, whole japan legal system was a joke.
I would want this guy as my partner in every escape room.
Poor you ! Your inability to successfully dislocate your joints and follow him will mean one sure thing : the guards will make you pay for his sins and you may probably have to serve his sentence too 😁
Im the 69th like💀
I agree
True
@@imhotep5279😂😂😂😂😂😂funny you
I can also dislocate my joints at will, but it just put me in a wheelchair and a neckbrace instead of giving me superpowers. This guy's insanely skilled.
Hey - dont worry - you too are special in your own way
Ehlos Danlos syndrome. A connective tissue disorder that makes your muscles loose and stretchy, and it's very painful if I'm right.
@RachelMartin-di8fy You are correct! It also impacts the eyes, heart, gi-tract, skin, bladder, reproductive organs, blood vessels, and teeth. Some patients are able to live a life that's very, very close to normal, others are profoundly disabled to the point where they rely on an electric wheelchair and TPN feeds to stay alive and still others will die before the age of 40 because of aneurysms, organ rupture or aortic root disection. EDS is very diverse. The man in this video very likely had EDS as well!
I can dislocate my thumbs
@@Dogs_are_coolie Same lol
Abroad in Japan shows the prison he was living in. With your story telling and seeing the actual prison, makes it even more amazing how a normal man with hidden talents survive the cruel life.
this man has my outmost respect for protecting his own safety while still wanting to atone for his crimes most people would give up and end up dead soon after everyone has to be treated as an individual and not be just "another one of those people"
The only measure the Japanese did not commonly use to keep him behind bars was KINDNESS. That,s all he wanted
Well spoken
It was Imperial Japan, that wasn't going to happen.
@@JVmonohi flips
Yeah…..maybe don’t steal and murder ……..
@@unknownslayer7128 some people don’t have a choice but to steal. When it is one of only two cards in your hand, steal and survive vs starve and wither away to nothing… surviving is always going to be the one chosen. Those of us whom don’t have to steal to survive (including myself) need to be more thankful of what we have and more understanding of those whom have nothing.
this man should be in the books man is a legend
A criminal legend.
What an inspiring story to not giving up no matter what the odds are! You are so skilled at story telling too! Captivating…you captured my ears! Lol! They don’t want to escape!
I wonder if he ever got to see his family again?
Thanks for this video and many others!😃
me too
That guy turns the phrase “when there’s a will, there’s a way” to the next level 💀
KINDA BEAUTIFUL AND EVERY NIGHT HAS ITS DAY SO MAGICAL AND EVERY DREAMER A DREAM THERES UNSTOPPABLE WITH SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN. MONDAY LEFT ME BROKEN
According to Kento Bento, Kobayashi betrayed Shiratori by turning him in when Shiratori in fact wanted Kobayashi to vouch for him about Japan's cruel prison system. This made Shiratori vow to never trust a law official again. Also, the policeman offered Shiratori the cigarette simply out of kindness and it was this act that moved Shiratori
I dont think be amazed would copy kento bento's whole video, story is always different when told by other people
What a smart person. I have no idea where he learned all the stuff he knew, but clearly it was somewhere good
And no internet too..in a special cell..in 1940.. mind blown
I love the commical jokes you come up with. Really lightens up your videos alongsides the facts
Damn this was more inspiring than a ted talk 😂😂😂
🤣🤣 LMFAO!
The sticking of your goat

The whole story of Shiratori, from his multiple escapes to his ability to dislocate his joints sounded weirdly familiar to me, but it wasn't until the mention of Abashiri Prison that it clicked for me - I had no idea Shiraishi "The Escape King" from Golden Kamuy was based on a real person!
The character Shiraishi has the same MO of being insanely good and clever at escaping, including using dislocating joints and lockpicking, and he also did time in Abashiri Prison in the show. Some cursory googling confirmed the writer indeed based his character on Shiratori.
Great video, and it was really cool to learn that this character was based on an an actual historical escape artist!
Be amazed is the only channel that is informative, Truthfull, and clearly fun.
I love your videos keep up the good work
Shiratori deserves an oscar and movie for his enthusiasm for freedom and justice👍
The movie is called Hagoku (2017), it is referenced through out this video
Finally! A criminal I actually feel sorry for! 😅
They need to make this into a movie, this would probably be one of the top movies of all time to be honest
And in no way am I embarrassed to say I have tears in my eyes of joy
If the last Judge was the same as the rest of the Judges, it is HIGHLY LIKELY that Yoshie Shiratori would've escaped for the 5th time.
This guy is actually pretty nice from the things mentioned in this video. He delayed his escape from Abashiri Prison just for the sake of the guards who were nice to him. He went to the head guard who was nice to him and agreed to turn himself in.
Most of the crimes he committed was due to having no choice. I'd say the bad things he did was before he got in his first prison. Since Aomori prison, all the bad things he did were forced.
All of your videos has very good information for my brain. I am very dumb…

I'm glad Shiratori-san got the happy ending he so deserved all things considered. Prisoners have rights too. That kind of treatment was uncalled for. I would LOVE to have been a fly on the wall to see the looks on the guards faces when they found him GONE. 😲
The first time I want the criminal to actually win
Fr
Great narration...its really the best with an equally awesome story. Love it! Thanks 😊
guards: we will keep you here for your entire sentence
Shiratorie: how about no
More Be Amazed for my enjoyment. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!
not done

I love your videos keep it up
This restored my faith in humanity
This is so wholesome
I mean, what Sirotari did was wrong, but he did not deserve to be treated that way
Please, Netflix, I Need To Watch It As A Movie 🎬 ❤🤔
Nope, netflix will make him like hillbilly from Alabama born in Zimbabwe
Netflix would cast Lizzo to play Shatori, might distract from the story.
Oh, shiratori gonna be an african-japanese then
That was best prompt for hitting the like button yet! It makes me laugh man! Big love
That was brilliantly hilarious 😂
Love your video Be Amazed
Nicely done sir. Truly a smart man, not the crime part the escape part. Just crazy.
This was an amazing video, the japanese just didnt realise is that shiratori only escaped prison because of the brutal treatment but not because he wanted to
Pov: you know the story but like watching it
Very good story. Ty vm for everything!!
Ahhh😅. I was late (9h) ago, as always best videos.
Hey uhh.. Mr. Austin Mased, you wanna talk about the thumbnail?
What
Love you channel keep up the good work 🎉
I'm glad it turned out the way it did for him. Seems like he was a kind person that made a few bad choices.
Sapporo Prison guard: Where the heck is Shiratori!?
That's impossible, no normal human could've escaped our ultra prison!
Yoshie Shiratori, not a normal human:
*I'm 20 multiverses ahead of you.*
Ha wow
you are really talented with the animating keep it up
FYI, I think Ted Bundy escaped prison four times
Absolutely ❤❤❤ watching Be Amazed video!
Him escaping death row was just an April fools joke 😂
Bring back good Kento Bento memories. Miss that man
Never forget him😢😢, it's sad he doesn't upload anymore
1 Word, prison.
Edit: I started a war and it is only 1 word, prison.
Prison is crazy 😭🔥
Prison
Exactly 3 word🤓
@@bhiteshpate8111no cuz he used a comma after 1 word 🤓
They should have hired him to make prisons more secure a misplay
Wow...just wow! This was a great video...I saw what you did there..."are you with miso far"😂
the 4th one is probably the most simplest escape he did and the most classic
this was amazing thank you for your hard work I love your content

Dude is undefeated against prisons

Calling him a jailbird is an insult this man is a jaildragon

Your channel is very entertaining keep up the good work!
Thank you ❤️ I do it all for you.
He just wanted Kindness
What a legend… he may've been a failure of a father, but that was one helluva tale with a happy ending too? That's just pleasing to see.
Good stuff always like it. Good job my friend.
That thumbnail 💀💀💀

Damn that’s a hell of a prison escape not to be forgotten😂
I love this story no matter the different styles of animation its told in
The 4th escape sounds strange. Where did he leave all the dirt that is produced
when digging a tunnel?
One word for a man like that. Legend.
Kentobento made a video on shiratori’s prison escapes. He literally went over all his skills.
Yeah i remember watching that. i am kinda shocked it took Be amazed this long to cover it though.
I know this guy's pain😢
How
WOW! Amazing video 🤩
It just goes to show you NOTHING can stop a determined soul… NOTHING! I REALLY enjoyed this video ❤
Great story!
If be amazed was my teacher i will understand him better then my own techer
Hi
My kind of guy! Never give up! 🎉😮😊🙍🏻♂️⛩️🏣 👮🏻👮🏻🥷🏻🥷🏻🌉🚔👮♀️🚓🚓🚓🇵🇱🚨
Ok but the thumbnail 💀
Bro had a anime moment when he went to prison
Man if he's aware of his skills he could have put it into good use became more famous than Houdini but fate has this horrible treatment for him fell so bad for him he didn't enjoy his life to fullest
Kento Bento made an amazing video about this guy, way before BE AMAZED did.
No one else is better to narrate this.
He is so relaxing
Hopefully he did met his kids again after 31 years
Is nobody gonna talk abt the thumbnail? The after escaping image?? WHAT THE HANDCUFFS LOOK LIKE?
Amazing video!
Amazing video 👍
3:08 I didn’t expect to see actual photo from the prison display
Love him
This is 100% real bc another RUclipsr made a video about him too
be amazed knew exactly what he was doing in with that thumbnail 💀
love the vids :)
Well that gave me chills
🎉🎉🎉🎉 new video 🎉🎉🎉THANKX
17:55 that was clever “with miso far”
WOW! THAT'S AMAZING!!!!
The subscribe gig was impressive haha😅
6:00 hey by the way ur wrong because he didn’t pick the lock he actually broke the bars on the window on the door and he also has a superhuman ability:he can dislocate his joints so he squeezed throuh the crack and got out
I found that in separate documentary
bro how this is so creative on the ways he escaped
Shiritori had 3 kids he couldnt support, no self control so wasted money gambling, involved with murder and robbery. He had choices. I dont believe in prisoners being beaten, starved, frozen tho.
I’d rather miso soup and rice because I totally love it 😍
That laugh at the end got me laughing so hard that my neighbors thought I was a psychopath :)
the person who drew the chains in the thumbnail knew what they were doing
That was A... (wait for it)... MAZING!
very inspiring
omg the last second laugh killed me🤣🤣🤣🤣 hehehe
