    I've been flying a bunch Omens as well with almost the same build! Those things are just so, so good.

      Oh yeah. Omens are ridiculously good ships!

    Glad you picked the lasher. It's my favorite frigate. Just a little ball of pain in the flux. They call it a point defense frigate. It's not. It's a shield melter.

      Lashers are all right, though I usually find that they lack the oomph needed to secure a kill except against particularly papery ships.

    30:19 Totally expecting you to find a Paragon, fully equipped with no d-mods in this playthrough.

      Haha, oh we probably will! Maybe some XIV Legions and other cool stuff that we'll "bring with us"... in pieces...!

    Great job on finally fixing the gunnery console, Captain KuraBee of the Tryhard Squad. Apologies for being a goldfish here, in case you have previously mentioned these. First of all, why the yellow tech restrictions? Are you planning on having a permanent base to settle in this series? And what would be the end goal of this series?

    • @Kurazarrh
      @Kurazarrh  Месяц назад +1

      :D Yeah I have a bad habit of forgetting to get my guns set up! As for your questions: 1) I tend to lean on the yellow skills a lot and want to learn other ways to play. Plus, the skills needed to make this fleet really shine don't jive with also taking 5 yellow skills for Hull Restoration. 2) We will absolutely be settling planets! 3) I want to beat most of the quests, including the end-game content and especially the content that's new on 0.97!

    a good starter frigate imo is SO centurion

    • @nemergix1707
      @nemergix1707 2 месяца назад +1

      you are putting WAY too much capacity on your omens, theydon't need that much, if they ever get full shield they'll just die

    • @Kurazarrh
      @Kurazarrh  2 месяца назад

      I never really fell in love with the centurion outside of early game point defense and as a tanking escort. Might be worth trying sometime!

    • @Kurazarrh
      @Kurazarrh  2 месяца назад +1

      They actually do need all that capacity. I'm going to fit them all with AMBs, and each shot from those is about 25-33% of their absolute maximum capacity. They need the headroom so they won't be afraid to use the AMBs. Even without them, Omens really do benefit from capacity over vents, since their main job aside from shutting down enemy ships is to be a shield tank.

    pretty sure they can't take the AI cores when they inspect ships, or at least they don't care, sometimes i lug around like 30 ai cores and i never got caught

    • @Kurazarrh
      @Kurazarrh  2 месяца назад +1

      It's not a 100% chance that they'll even find anything, though I don't know what that chance is. Also, patrols that inspect you will only take things that their faction considers contraband, so if you're in TT space, for example, they won't take drugs or heavy armaments, etc.

      @@Kurazarrh negative. I really mean i never, ever got surveyed and got my cores stolen. ever. and i always get inspected by patrols, even when i'm rich, because i buy off the black market (lol)

    Turn off the Whote-out effect when a ship explodes. It is annoying to see.
