Ok...we need a drinkers dinosaurs review now
"Rambo is a pussy." - Ray Tango
In the Spanish dub, he says " *Rambo es blanco* `Rambo is as white as a ghost`."
I am so happy the Drinker finally reviewed this gem of a movie.
Tango and Cash is a great movie. Shame Hollywood doesn't make great movies anymore.
I forced my friends to watch this masterpiece. I do not regret it.
If you had to force them... and especially if they didn't enjoy it... you need new friends.
This seems like something AZ would thoroughly enjoy talking about with drinker lol.
I’m right on board with you
You got the sweetspot bro. Here have a like . And take it with proud bro.
Agreed. Sadly, once Drinker has done an Extra Shot, the odds of it becoming a Happy Hour episode become about zero.
@@SumDumGy How about the lobby the drinker to do a happy hour with AZ?
This movie is the definition of the 80's
ray tango, a more 80's name has never been uttered, also staying on Stallone you should rewatch Cobra another fine 80's cinematic masterclass on both acting and directing and maybe even the meaning of life.
Second your motion for a take on Cobra. A Stallone favourite of mine.
Cobra, is that the one with the shoot out in the grocery store?
Reporter 'Did you use excessive force?'
Stallone 'I used everything I had.'
@@williamgarner6779 Yes
Fun fact my Uncle actually worked on this movie when it was made and no I'm not making that up for clicks. He legit actually did that and even showed photos from the set.
Cool. What was his job? Lucky dude either way, even if he was just an errand boy. Just imagine, man. Much envy - of the good kind.
@@oscarjimenezgarrido7591 Production Aide. He even has an IMDB credit. Used to work in California as an actor in a couple of commercials. Nothing big or crazy, but it's still pretty neat. Actually introduced Stallone to my parents once.
Did he tell you any funny BTS stories? Those two guys were at the top of the acting profession when the movie was made. I wonder if there were any drama between those guys.
@@thefanwithoutaface8105
That's awesome, dude. Treasure him, I've lost many of my uncles and I miss them a lot. Don't worry about people online don't believing this or that, they don't seem to be aware that famous people are, obviously, _real_ people first and foremost, with family and friends that anyone might run into haphazardly. I used to be acquainted with Jim Lee and other important people in the comic book business, many of which I still keep in touch with or are simply one phone call away, but i never mention it anywhere even if it's relevant to the conversation because people never believe me and, on the other hand, why should they? And who cares, anyway? Just enjoy your life experiences and make the most out of 'em. As long as you care, that's all that matters.
What an absolute gem this movie is mate
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Watch it every couple years to remind myself how awesome movies used to be.
Gabriel Cash:
"Goddddamnit!
Forgot the Marshmallows.". 😆🤣😂😆
My family would take me to any movie I asked them to. This was one and I get rhe feels when I watch this on DVD. So sweet
Synth score for each different character is pretty amazing too. Cash's is quirky and upbeat . Up there with Beverly Hills Cop as far as score moving the movies pace along.
Damn, I used to watch this as a kid so many times! Amazing action movie!
My mother sat me down and made me watch this as a kid, because it is a good movie.
And I thank her so much for that.
RIP Mom. I miss you.
I love Tango and Cash. So quotable, so cheesy but without winking at the audience.
I don't know. Stallone calling Rambo a pussy is a pretty big wink.
really? This show was so phony it was laughable. Remember how they both easily broke put of prison separately while wise cracking? This is nostalgia? The movie was lazy lazy hollywood
@@nuckygulliver9607 Hence the 'cheesy' reference. If you want a realistic prison movie, look elsewhere. If you want to see Kurt Russell and Sly Stallone kicking ass and cracking wise, sit down and watch.
One of my favourite Stallone films. Both he and Russell are perfect in this film. It's a must watch
I love this film. A perfect balance between action and comedy with two genuine stars and Jack Palance as the foe. Awesome stuff.
Two points:
1. Is that Marc Alaimo sitting next to James Hong in the car? The fella who plays Gul Dukat so amazingly in DS9?
2. I recall a Little Britain sketch where Matt Lucas’ schoolmaster at Kelsey Grammar School was announcing auditions for their summer theatrical production of Tango & Cash. Yes I heartily pissed myself
literary just watched this last night, pure 80's cheese turned up to 11!
Good god I love this movie!
Never understood the low IMDB rating.

A man of great taste, too. Rocked those kasayas like a champ.
The lethal weapon movies will always be king of the buddy cop movies for me.
From the first introduction to "FUBAR" when I was a kid I was hooked. T&C Have always been one of the faves. "Fubar, big time" still cracks me up and have used the phrase every time I could or can.
My dad used to love this movie back in the day...Nice to see it get a proper drunken review!🍺
I need to revisit this movie it's been literal years.
That souped up Chevy with the Gatling gun was definitely a highlight of the film. I bet many a drug kingpin wanted one in their arsenal.
I love this movie, was one of the first ones I saw more than once in the theatre. Smuggled beer into the theatre to truly enjoy the experience. I love this cheesefest, especially Jack Palance as Perret. Early on in the film he's so confident and slimy, speaks eloquently and such. But the nearer we get to the end of the movie he's all "GET THOSE SONSABITCHES!" and losing his shit. I should watch this movie today again, thanks for reminding me of it.
the 80s where you seen the same explosion in 20 different angles and it still looked awesome.
Didn't you mean "totally awesome"?
@@peaceonearth8693 totally. fubar on that one dude.
Oh man, I _love_ Tango & Cash.
*Fun fact : Available free on Pluto TV.*
Movies like that are like a roller coaster; You look at it & know what you're going to get, but it's still eminently fun to get on & ride.
I have always loved this movie and it is one b of my all time favorites to watch. Glad to see you do a video about it
I saw this movie opening night and I've loved it ever since. It's a shame they never made a sequel.
This film is my childhood. Every time I was sick off school, I would sneak into my brother's room and steal the video. Great times.
CONAN and FULL METAL JACKET are worth a drink
One of the most FUN movies ever made
I almost instantly started humming the main theme, if that's not an indicator of a memorable and beloved movie, I don't know what is
This movie is silly, cheesy, fun, and entertaining. Never takes itself too seriously and never mocks the audience for enjoying it. Great review Mr. Drinker.
Really similar to Running Man in my opinion. Cheesy but fun and doesn't take itself seriously. Short, sweet, not preachy, and you get to watch Arnie the meta human go beat the hell out of a bunch of strange characters.
Remember a time where Peter Jackson was the bit of jokes when it came to movies far longer than they should’ve been
Eh, at least he earned it with too much actual content, Zac Snyder cheesed the title off him with a hoarding approach to editing and meme level slooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmoooooooooooooooooooooo
This was another Kurt Russel classic just like Big trouble in Little China. Kurt is an American legend. And I am from australia.
Talk about Versatile, I remember he made the transition from young wholesome Disney star who woulda thought, legendary...
Thanks Kurt.
Great is great.
It comes from everywhere.
In a decade defined by buddy cop movies, this one was the cherry on top. The epic finish to a decade of sweet treats, never to be served again. I know where I come from and what it meant then&what it means now.
80s was a high water mark.
I've watched every "Extra Shot" you've recommended and they're all very good or better. Cheers Drinker!
Y'know, it seems like only yesterday that The Drinker was talking about doing a review of this forgotten gem.
One of my first moments with the acronym FUBAR. Loved this movie. Thanks for the hail - Cheers~
Finally someone who cherishes this underrated movie as much as I do AND for the same reasons!!!
One of my favorites growing up. I agree…no one could ever accuse Tango and Cash of being high art but it doesn’t attempt to be. It’s fun and entertaining and it works.
In addition to the “you…broke that jaw?” I always got a chuckle out of “soap…and don’t flatter yourself.”
Love this classic! Know it word for word! Love to see it getting some Drinker love!
Anything Kurt "my hero" Russell is in I'll watch it. Critical Drinker you hero of honorable heroic timeless heritages, you've picked another great one sir. I commend you.
This will always be one of my favorite buddy cop movies to sit down and watch. Stallone and Russell work so well off of each other and they cap it off with one of the most epic 80's style endings.
Kurt Russel just aces this role. Love the guy. Ending is a bit shite, heard there was a lot of arguing about it.
The funniest line in the movie was when Stallone said that “Rambo is a pussy.”
One of the first self-aware references I ever saw in a movie.
@@chaos.corner How is that self aware? He knows damn well Rambo is a bad ass. He's just compensating.
i thought it was the whole i wanna be killed by an American jerk off speech myself.....
best one liner yes, best bit of dialog was the speech
the whole movie is hilarious though
Love this movie. I always have.
For some reason, for over 30 years I was the only one I knew who liked it, so it’s great to see it finally getting the love it deserves.
Tango and Cash. We need more of these films
