I'm buying an Xbox console for the first time since Sony has been making many bad decisions when it comes to Japanese developers, censorship and anti consumer stuff. Integrate will be PS5 exclusive for just a little over 5 months now so in December we should have this on PC and Xbox anyways.

To offer the other perspective for the menu cursor settings, I *always* use forget. The reason is that I tend to rely on muscle memory more than my eyes or my working memory to perform actions in menus, because it tends to be faster and more reliable on average.
For example, in the original FF7, I knew if I was going to use an item, I press up and O right away, or down and O to get to magic, and similarly for navigating within those menus. After playing for a few hours, I don't even think about the inputs because I can automatically navigate quickly to whichever command I want to use.
If it was on remember, then I (ironically) need to remember what my last action with that character was in order to adjust my inputs properly so that I do the right thing. It's slightly faster when you need to use the same command many turns in a row, but I don't tend to play like that, so the benefit is minimal.
Of course, it comes down to preference, but if you're someone who relies on muscle memory for menu navigation, keep it on forget.

@@G14U2NV it's OK I done it now. The upgrade and the INTERmission DLC was available after it was midnight and not available for download b4. Would have saved a lot of time as the download took ages. Too many people downloading maybe.
Great video exposing the options; it can be confusing for new people.
For 2:00 Lock-On Controls, targeting after lock on, I think that it depends on the type of player that you are.
For Right Stick, the camera will follow the target with this option.
For Left and Right Directional Buttons, the camera will not follow the target, and you’ll have to control this manually with the Right Stick.
If you’re the type of person to pause frequently, I found that pausing and targeting different things gave me an adequate view of the battlefield.
If you needed more angles, you could switch characters and have them change targets, and this is still all under one pause.
But if you want that full 360 control of the camera, I can see someone wanting the typical Right Stick control.
Though, I found Left and Right Directional Buttons to be more comfortable than Up and Down for rapid character switching.

Good day. Is there anyway to lower/decrease the left stick sensitivity when playing darts? I have been doing everything by fixing the sensitivity on x360ce but nothing changes in game. The reticle flies all over the place even with the slightest movement of the left stick. I have watched videos of players playing this game on the pc and they can make the reticle move steadily; even stop moving at the bullseye. Please help as I am stuck here. Thanks in advance.
Wow, I never realized how much these little changes can help you out in the game, I need to change to all these settings whenever I get back into Remake...especially that one with the camera, cause when you're trying to switch to enemies with the right joystick...omg it can be so damn annoying...the directional buttons make a lot more sense, and should make it a lot more fluent, just as all these changes will...that will probably be the first thing I change...thx a lot @BltzZ!!!!!👌

I do have one question: I've finally bought a TV that supports 4K, and thus also HDR. I swear I once heard you say that the HDR for the game is too much and that you'd recommend that just setting it for the standard SDR. Or something? I can't find the video where you mentioned the bit about the HDR, so I wanted to know what you would recommend 😅

Too bad that I didn't see this video before I started playing FF7 Remake. I pretty much spent most of the first day making the adjustments that you spoke of in the game. It plays much more better now that I've made the adjustments to the settings. 👍

@@TheNamesMoose30 I fumbles around. I basically did 2 fairly completionist play through but wasn't tracking the PlayStation medals so I did a 3rd playthrough to get all the medals. Plus whooping on Abzu, Hell House and that Train is a great stress reliever

THANK YOU for the all powering advice on changing the combo targetting, even though I'm still trying to get used to the game, not being able to switch quick enough is getting me hammered. Going to give it a good run this way, and if I still suck, then maybe I'm losing my way with gaming. But I'm not giving up that easy.

I really wish I knew about some of these targeting options before pulling all of my hair out attempting to fully complete the Shinra Box Buster challenge. The targeting just didn't do what I wanted it to a lot of the time and caused so much frustration. I bet one of those settings would have made it so much better.

What? When I have a target LOCKED, the camera always centers in the target so I don't have to move the camera. And when I move the right stick it changes targets. Why would I want to change that? 😳

Hey BltzZ, do you know if the AP Up weapon skill stacks with the AP Up Materia? If yes does it land anywhere triple value?
I don't know if it stacks but it would be about 2.5x. Ap Up is double and I imagine the bonus on the weapon would be 1.5x. there is an armlet that has only 1 slot but has triple growth

The DLC is PS5 exclusive. It's basically a PS5 patch to upgrade graphics a bit, and "sell PS5" which kind of difficult :p

Damn, kinda wish I realized the combo target system earlier. And not after doing everthing including Weiss. Lock on change with right analogue does feel more natural to me at least though, that's how it is in Fromsoft games. And I instantly pulled the camera back after first fight of the game. But the combo targeting would've been better to swap, had I reallized it.
Did they change the default responsiveness with the integrade upgrade? It seems a bit faster now at 3.
No it's just the increased frames. Everything's more snappier since there are more frames per animation

Have to be synergized and do a full combo with the shuriken in yuffies hand

I just see "Not Available" when I search Intergrade on the PS Store. When I select More Info, it says that there is a conflict because I already own the FF7 Remake Digital Deluxe Edition. I'm on PS5 as well. How can I fix this?

Great vid as usual! Personally I like to keep the target switching to the right stick, otherwise you can't switch targets when you have the Commands/Abilities/Spells menu up. I know you can select the ability and then select the target from list, but I like being able to use the stick to select it while "paused". Just personal preference, thought folks should know though. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see your boss videos. Almost 100% done with Intermission myself, just need to beat the two VR bosses.

I really suggest turning off environment subtitles too, you see so many times where an npc will say the same thing when you pass them multiple times and it helps to have them off for greater immersion.

Might just be me, but changing Lock-On switching to Direction Input made Lock-On work much worse for me.... I would lose the Lock-On more often that way. I found it best to just leave it on Switch In Order to save myself a bit of a headache with what is a pretty broken Lock-On system to begin with...
Speaking of Intergrade, will you play it on Fidelity mode or Optimised Performance?

I think I'm going to try both to see which one I prefer, and who knows; maybe SE will do what Insomniac Games did for Ratchet & Clank, patching in a 60FPS mode with ray tracing capabilities (the resolution goes down from 4k to 2k, or something, I think, but man, would that look good on Remake...)
Oh, right, beware the spoilers. I've unfortunately learned this morning there is Zack x Aerith scene somewhere in Intergrade (though, if it's part of the free upgrade or the INTERmission DLC was a little unclear; the guys at the Discord server seemed to say it was in the DLC itself), although I don't actually know the context or timestamp for the scene. I have no idea what's in it, just that it apparently exists in the DLC 😅😂
Buuut this unfortunately means I won't watch you play Intergrade as I had initially planned to. I want to see and react and experience that scene for myself if it's really true 😂

Glad I had the intuition to figure these out quickly while starting Remake last year... the fact that these aren't default and so many people probably played the whole game without realizing these huge improvements makes me sad 😂 The Free option especially, such a vastly better experience!
My Intergrade game and Intermission keep crashing. I've reinstalled the game several time. What is going on? Help?
I have a feeling you might need to put your PS5 in safe mode. And then rebuild database. Database rebuild won't delete anything but definitely do it

Well yeah. But the option itself in safe mode is called rebuild database. Do that and then a fresh install of FF7 and see if it happens again. Let me know how it works

@@venomsnake4671 tbh keep it on performance. Graphics setting plays horribly with the button inputs because you lose frames. With the higher frame rate you can do button cancels.
@@BltzZ what about other stuff like pictures contrast. Motion blurs all that stuff
Personally I disable motion blur always. The other settings visually I am unsure
I'll be playing on PS5 tonight. I got platinum trophy for ps4 when FF7R released but I dont really remember it being very annoying, but maybe I just got used to it

@@TimoteoJuan89 I beat pride and joy prototype a couple months ago it's definitely hard as heck (I'd honestly say the most difficult fight in the game) but definitely not impossible.

@@ViolentNin not at all actually. Since I started reminding people I gain 150+ subscribers per video instead of 25-50 when I don't ask. It works. Lots of people forget to subscribe because RUclipss algorithm keeps us on their page for recommended.
I've always preferred 'switch in order' in case there are enemies I can't see because I'm frickin blind and absolutely don't trust myself. This way is similar to traditional menu based combat. That's just my preference though.
Well... I'm not making any changes because I didn't win the PS5 give away... :( and I cant find one anywhere! (without paying a a premium to someone)
