dude what? dynamic resolution lowers the resolution to keep the framerate more consistent, the only problem having it is loss of sharpness of graphics but if you don't need it then it's a pointless downgrade and they didn't give you a way to disable it
To disable it was the legit first mod created because of how buggy it was. And because there was no way in the game to disable it. Hell there aren't much options square gave us too lol. It'll work for some but it's not consistent.

@@alexlun4464 I managed to figure it out, for Final Fantasy VII Remake on PC that is 😅 other games I'm still stumped. For FFVIIR t's much more simple than I thought. After a couple times I got it down. @@windroseofficial4461 Same, I cannot believe the process was as simple as downloading the .pak file from nexus mods and moving that file into a ~mods folder somewhere inside the game folder. So far I'm enjoying playing with Nezuko Tifa and Topless Sephiroth 🥵 Though this is the easiest of the mods I guess. I know some mods are much more complex and error-prone. i run FF7R with nvidia studio driver, not the game ready driver: the game runs perfectly fluid this way, even under DX12 (i also installed the dynamic resolution disabler). i stumbled on a random post that recommended the studio driver thing, i thought it worth mentioning here since almost nobody talks about it and it helped me a lot... using a 3090 and intel i9...
I have the same setup as well, the studio driver helped me too but it made my OBS recordings soooo choppy idk why. I wanna experiment with it more when I get back home
I want to install mods for my FFVII Remake steam version; thus, I wonder if I still have to change the so-called "Additional Command Line Arguments" to "-dx11". By the way, I'm able to run this game using a nice PC build even though my GPU is merely a Radeon RX 580 8GB VRAM, 32GB of RAM, and AMD CPU Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core. 🤔
The only thing that worked for me to finish the stuttering was transferring the game to an old HDD and playing it from there. It literally got rid of stutters amd i was able to play locked 60fps.
You need to go into the notepad file and change skeletal bias to -16. There is a segment in this video about it or you can copy the exact file I have there
I don't want to sound negative, but almost all games (specifically PC ports) Square has made in the last decade have not only arrived in a mediocre to terrible state, but most have remained that way ever since and have been "fixed" by mods. I would not expect anything from them unfortunately as they are selling products that have been basically unplayable without mods for years (worst offenders are Final Fantasy XIII-2, which doesn't work on most modern PC's at all, World of Final Fantasy, which runs very unstable and is worse than the console versions in almost every way, while also being capped at 30 FPS and most modern Remasters of Final Fantasy classics that are poorly optimized, not correctly upscaled, use worse looking sprites, user interfaces and fonts and more. Also Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster, which runs fine on most intel CPU's, but crashes constantly on most modern AMD CPU's and GPU's). What I want to say is: Don't get your hopes up and rather try to slowly get into modding to make poor ports playable. Most games on steam with bigger issues have many helpful guides on how to improve your games and especially the Final Fantasy mods are often very detailed on how to do it. And don't get it twisted, it really can be intimidating at first, but usually there is nothing too bad that can come from trying it out. And even if a mod makes your game unplayable or you made a mistake, you can usually just uninstall und reinstall the game as a whole and start anew (which obviously still sucks, especially if you have slow internet or a data cap, but at least it is as good as impossible to damage your PC or system and if it is you WILL read about it in the comments!).

@@Justyn-yt I would love to turn it on but square didn't give that option. Only 30-60-90-120 fps options. And it tears with all of them with Dx11.
Force Vsync on maybe with Nvidia control panel
@@BltzZ Thanks I'll give it a try.
Also if you are running on ultrawide, you'll need flawless widescreen.. This app have an option to disable resolution scaling or it can force greater than 100% resolution scaling; which is nice if you have GPU horsepower to handle it..
Daaamn thank you!! Managed to sort my copy out today!! Much love Kupo!! ♥
Great video, really appreciate it! I have a question tho : i have a gtx 1080 8gb and will your settings of the engine.ini be good for my gpu? I don't know much about this stuff, but i'm wondering if all those effects/lines are good for my gpu or will weigh down the game? I'm also asking because just by changing only dynamic resolution, the game run smoother with 0 stuttering. Thx again for the vid
Yes they should run just fine with the 1080. However you can adjust the Vram pool size lower if needed
So what does the last mod you mentioned in this video do? You never said
dude what? dynamic resolution lowers the resolution to keep the framerate more consistent, the only problem having it is loss of sharpness of graphics but if you don't need it then it's a pointless downgrade and they didn't give you a way to disable it
To disable it was the legit first mod created because of how buggy it was. And because there was no way in the game to disable it. Hell there aren't much options square gave us too lol. It'll work for some but it's not consistent.
@@BltzZ yeah I saw that it's broken LOL pretty sad
i haven't tried any mods yet and i never came across any performance issues or stutters whatsoever i got a asus prime z490 p i7 10700k rtx 3070 fe corsair vengeance pro rgb 32gb CL18 crucial p2 m.2 1tb crucial mx500 1tb i got everything overclocked too lol
Someone please fix hdr. Shit can't even detect on my pc. It shows up, but when recording, it's dark as hell. Shows on the ps5 fine, but not pc. The mods are cool though
DX11, Process Lasso and Rebar was the magic for me on 12700kf and 3080.
i was so confused when 2 seconds into the video, i saw tifa with the rinnegan.
I can't save progress on pc, I'm level 18. suddenly it doesn't save anymore ..
Can anyone help me?
hi everyone, how do i fix the blackscreen loading on my FFVII Remake Intergrated PC Version? it only shows blackscreen but the music just plays without anything on screen, and it also never loads, i press everything but nothing happen, the game was working just several months ago but then i changed my PC and this happened
(i haven't played FFVII Remake Intergrated for 2 months because of this issue)
- thank you everyone those who are able to help me and have a nice day!
cant you just disable dynamic res within that ini file? im not sure what the values for disabling it are
Yes you can, this video was made a while back so I never updated it sorry. Will do this week since steam is out
So far I fixed the gameplay stutter relatively easy on a 3090. looks great at 120, but my main issue is finding a fix for stuttery cutscenes.
There's a mod on the Final Fantasy VII Remake Nexus that does this. It's called "Fix Lag or freeze in CG Movies (English and Japanese language)". Hope that helps.
@@jackdudebrother6150 I got this one and it works great but had to buy premium for £5. Its not a lot of money but I still am very mad that I already "overpaid" for the game and more now
@@booshbush1487 Yeah and when all is said and done, it's not even particularly a good game. I was left very underwhelmed by the end of it.
@@jackdudebrother6150 some people would disagree with you on that. i am looking forward too part 2.however i did find alot of the side quests kind of pointless. what annoys me is that square enix did not bother to optimize the game for pcs or if they did they did not do a very good job of giving players more options
Thank you BltzZ, i was on the correct path on my own, had all installed exept your ini, will help alot :D
I have a GTX 1080 card which has 8g vram but my fans are really sounding like a vacuum. Should I lower the vram pool below 2600?
Yeah try 2500 2400 2300 etc and see which performance offers best. Or you can download EVGA precisionX and monitor the fans yourself
@@BltzZ Thanks!
Thanks for this! I'm trying to figure out how to turn on VSYNC. I have 1080 Ti, which I know isn't the strongest video card, but with mods and settings changes the game runs pretty well, except for some screen tearing. In other games I've been able to fix that by turning on the vsync - haven't figured that out yet for this one.
Is there a setting in the engine.ini file that I missed when I looked at yours? Thanks!
God bless the modding community, the only ones that seem to care for these games.
I heard turning the fps up disabled dynamic resolution now anyone know if that's true? My game runs decent but the cut scenes stutter bad.
And I was thinking my PC was suddenly turning shitty. Thank you!
I just want vsync with DX11. Can I add a line in that engine.ini file and what would that be?
Open Nvidia control panel. In there add FF7R as a program and turn Vsync on from there. It's much better that way
@@BltzZ I have an AMD card. I have already done the always active vsync thing, and tried riva tuner. Nothing works. It's DX12 or tearing.
@@BltzZ I found a solution. I used lossles scaling with fsr and had the game running with DX11 windowed. The app costs 3€ on steam. I use it to play the new versions of the old Final Fantasy games too, them with integer scaling.
so i did do all the stuff in this video, but dispite using vsync i am still suffering horrible screen tearing in the game. anyone have a fix?
you forced the v sync in nvidia control panel too?
@@BltzZ i went into nvidia control panel and turned vsync on and even went and tried all the vsync options and made sure it was saving, but the issue still persisted, very confused
@@Violet_Viper are you using DX11 too?
@@BltzZ yes, thats what caused the screen tearing initially
@@Violet_Viper I believe there is a fix for that. Did you install the dvnk mod on Nexus too?
Can you help me? After i used your Engine.ini file the game is with screen tearing now.
Open up Nvidia control panel and force Vsync on ff7.exe file
Do I have to do anything for the hook. I have it installed n made the changes to the engine file. So I boot the game up I don't have to do anything else?
Yeah you should be good to go now
@BltzZ ok just wondering. I'm using 3080, amd 5600x. Playing 4k 60 frames. Getting some drops for the framerate in the slums
@BltzZ has ur screen ever went to full white? Can't seem to figure out why. It happens randomly
@@michaelmacorso4479 are you on DX11?
@@BltzZ yea -dx11. Did the stuttering mod. I wish squarenix did a better job on pc ports
disabling dynamic resolution changed ff7r from a random slideshow to a game, for me.
pretty gg
It's such a silly option for them to have one with no bare bones way to turn off smh..happy to help!
I still have no clue how to install mods
I try to follow the steps but it never works
Same, that's one hell of a learning curve by the looks of it
@@alexlun4464 I managed to figure it out, for Final Fantasy VII Remake on PC that is 😅 other games I'm still stumped.
For FFVIIR t's much more simple than I thought. After a couple times I got it down.
It's as simple as making a couple mod folders(one in the game files and one to store mods you arent using), downloading the mods, and just moving the mods you wanna use into the mod folder in the game files 😳
@@windroseofficial4461 Same, I cannot believe the process was as simple as downloading the .pak file from nexus mods and moving that file into a ~mods folder somewhere inside the game folder.
So far I'm enjoying playing with Nezuko Tifa and Topless Sephiroth 🥵
Though this is the easiest of the mods I guess. I know some mods are much more complex and error-prone. But for now I am satisfied with my first step.
@@alexlun4464 Yeah it was way easier than expected lol
I have quite a few now lol I have the Advent Children Outfits for Cloud and Tifa, model swap Cloud with Zack, and a couple other model swaps. Model swaps are a tad bit buggy in some areas but it's barely noticeable.
I absolutely love the Advent Children Cloud Wolf outfit
i run FF7R with nvidia studio driver, not the game ready driver:
the game runs perfectly fluid this way, even under DX12 (i also installed the dynamic resolution disabler). i stumbled on a random post that recommended the studio driver thing, i thought it worth mentioning here since almost nobody talks about it and it helped me a lot...
using a 3090 and intel i9...
I have the same setup as well, the studio driver helped me too but it made my OBS recordings soooo choppy idk why. I wanna experiment with it more when I get back home
Great video but can you make this same guide without the background music?
I can never unsee Marlene with a beard bro. Too funny

Sunset Overdrive on PC is a half-ass port, there's still no update to fix the game..
Dude, this is so insanely helpful. Thank you! 👍
Is there any mod to get all materials - weapon's and armors of the game??
let's say, hypothetically... for some reason... the game magically downloaded itself by TOTALLY NO ILLEGAL ways.... how do i make it run with dx11?
You have to change the app name extension inside the cracked ini file. Tbh google has direct ways to show you. I can't link here unfortunately
@@BltzZ don't worry, i managed by get solved. but thanks alot for the reply!!

Which Cloud hair mod is used on this video?
The only thing that worked for me to finish the stuttering was transferring the game to an old HDD and playing it from there. It literally got rid of stutters amd i was able to play locked 60fps.

Anyone figure out how to do this on steam deck version? If so explain in detail how
I hope Square is going going to fix there game so those of us who are not as PC literate can have an easier time.
How do I know if the mods actually worked though?
The game would be running better. If not, then configure the engine.ini file like I showed in the video
Can anyone suggest a controller to play this on pc? Its so hard getting used to Keyboard and mouse
Xbox One controller worked for me. Switch Pro controller bugged out and I haven’t tried a PlayStation controller.
i bought a ps5 controller and use it thru bluetooth on the pc and it is fine. I had to launch Epic Games Launcher through steam and then launch FF7R through that in order to get the button mapping to pull in
