@@arianagrandefan934I have the same fear of snakes I use to live In The country side where snakes r so common but I’ve never seen one in my life then I moved into the city and still not a single sighting. Snakes like humid and hot weather they more common up in Queensland and Northern Territory. You will be fine :)
@@arianagrandefan934 less than 2 people in Australia die from snakes each year, the snakes are mainly in the bush and outback(the places where no one lives)so you have nothing to worry about
Joy Morrill I’m from an island about two hours drive from Melbourne and we get thousands of little penguins every night, it’s called Phillip Island RUclips it.
My home town! It was interesting to see from a visitor's perspective. Although I knew where you were almost all the time, it looked a bit foreign to me. Glad you enjoyed it.
Omg I live in Melbourne well and hour away and I never knew penguins came to st kilda that’s awesome , so glad I watched :) I’m going to check it out now cheers glad you enjoyed your stay :)
About an hour outside the city is Phillip Osland where you can see hundreds of Little Blue penguins at Summerland Beach- an easy day trip from Melbourne that can be booked at local tour companies!
Thanks for this video. I grew up in St Kilda. What a pity you missed Acland Street. The best feature of that area. You would need another video for this. All that great international food and all those European cake shops. Next time maybe.
It's always so fascinating watching people in my home city, and hearing what they have to say about it! I'm always so interested in other cities/countries around the world that I forget about the one I live in. Loved this vlog 😍
The bridge is very like the one over the river Tyne in Newcastle UK. You should visit Northumberland. Amazing scenery, historical castles, beaches, pubs and the best fish and chips. Come late Spring and see the puffins. Love your videos x
Just got your postcard from Australia today! Looks like an incredible adventure. You two are living almost exactly my wife's and my dream lifestyle. Australia and New Zealand are definitely on our list!
I think I stumbled on a penguin when I decided to go for a walk after a session at the Espy. Didn't know it was a thing now. Also have ridden the rollercoaster at Luna Park, and yes, I got a fright.
Another great video, thanks for sharing Melbourne with us. It is lovely to watch you two having adventures. And you are nice people! Have a great week.
Really cool seeing you guys exploring a city that's so familiar to me 😀 I used to commute to Melbourne for work and I loved exploring the different cafes over there. I've had the fairy floss hot chocolate at #Hash. It was a bit too bitter for my taste, but makes for a pretty picture!
LOVE that you guys have been exploring our home country!! We have always wanted to travel the East Coast and after watching your vlogs think we will just do it at the end of this year! How good is the food in coffee in Melbourne?! We live in Sydney, but have to admit that Melbourne is by far the better city! That's so cool to that they have a free tram zone!! Love the street art to!
We have those penguins here in New Zealand, mostly south of Wellington, right down to Stewart Island, only we call them Little Blue Penguins, not "Fairy Penguins". They come in as huge rafts of birds. Those on shore are mostly either tending a nest with a baby or at the end of moult and dependent on their mate for food. They most likely will have been there, hiding, all day.
Next time try to get out to Phillip Island. The penguins there come up out of the surf and then up to their burrows in the dunes. There are is also a seal lion colony you can watch. Amazing place!!
I’m so glad you enjoyed our city guys. Those breakfasts looks awesome. Luna Park was awesome once. But sadly it needs a huge overhaul. We used to have the Big Dipper which was awesome. Sadly it was taken down. Those penguins are smelly creatures, but very cute. Come back again. On a Sunday there is a craft market near Luna Park. 🙏👍🏼👏🏻❤️🤗😍
Other markets to try in Melbourne...... The Preston Market, the South Melbourne Market, St Andrews Market, Wesley Hill Farmers market in Castlemaine, Alphington Market.
Oh I wished I’d found you will here in Melbourne. Thank you for showing our beautiful town. I didn’t even know a few of the places you went to. That roller coaster. When I was 5 it broke down and my poor dad had to carry me and walk along the tracks to get back to the ground!!! Yes, it’s old. If you come back again. Please check out the Ludlow bar. Just near Pony Island. Great food and beers there.
You guys did a great job of covering the East Coast of Australia. As you could probably tell there’s a lot more to see but the gaps in regional travel are huge, expensive and/or time consuming to get off the beaten track. Glad you had such a great time here and I look forward to seeing your other adventures 😊
Aww, that was lovely! Brought back a lot of memories for me. We emigrated from the UK to St Kilda when I was 7, only stayed a few months though (thanks mum & dad lol) and I remember Lunar Park and the walk down to the beach on Christmas Day. Happy travels guys 😃
I had shied away from watching you in my country because I was worried you'd just be another "reality TV" kind of thing. You made a great series and I so enjoyed it! Onya mate!
Glad you corrected the error over the 'Parakeets' in the edit, Which are generally white or light grey in colour, although green ones occur like the wild population in Richmond Park in London, which also has a population of Budgies, my Ex Wife used to own a Parakeet which would spend a lot of time perched on her shoulder whilst she did housework and even walk to the local shops, if only she had a peg leg and a tricorn hat! You seem to do a lot of research about the places you visit so us viewers can learn a lot from your travel vlogs, I hope you can keep it going for a good few years to come, thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable along with informative, a big pat on the back to you both, just love Allison's facial expressions. 👍💋💋
Those are actually rainbow lorrikeets. They are true parrots and are native to Australia. No relation to a Budgie (which we also have in Aus) other than its another bird breed. I live in Sydney and we have a huge native population of rainbow lorrikeets (as well as rosellas, galahs, cockatoos and major mitchell or corellas) flying around as well as my housemate owns three birds, a cockatoo and two rainbow lorrikeets. They don't eat seeds but nectar and pollen and need a certain type of powdered food to eat if owned as a pet and they love fruit and veges and crackers and hard rusks.
I live in Melbourne, but wish I could live in Perth. Way more sunshine, open spaces, laid-back atmosphere, best beaches, resort hotels with pools, no crowds, relaxed and friendly people, great food and thriving music scene and events.
Awesome video of Melbourne! I was lucky enough to work there for the better part of a year and absolutely loved my time there. Now you guys should check out Western Australia - the state is the size of almost half the country!
Next time you come down, you should check out the Penguin Parade down at Phillip Island. The whole area down there is so serene. I am glad you enjoyed Melbourne and Australia. :D Good luck and safe travels!
So much better than my Melbourne vlog. Maybe because i wasn't actually there (I had friends film it), but more likely because the quality of your vids just keep getting better. Keep it up guys! 🙏
