    When i was younger my grandpa would make me fry bread and Indian tacos. Unfortunately, he passed away when i was still very young and I never got the chance to get the recipe from him. But this is EXACTLY how he made the fry bread... He use to always say "slow down and take it easy or you'll end up burnt and greasy!" I'm so glad I ran across your video this morning!! Thank you for sharing this!! ❤

    I think of all the videos on fry bread you are the first to say how thick to pat out the dough. Thank you for the video.

    Your mama taught you right! Nothing done in a hurry is done well. Act in haste, repent at your leisure my grandmother used to say. 😊. That looks good, William. I haven’t made any in a long time. Thank you for sharing.

    Osiyo William. Love the Oklahoma southern accent. I have been making frybread for ages. In mine, milk or sugar are optional. The milk has a tendency to give it a softer, fluffier texture. Wado
    BTW, my Texas southern accent is as strong as yours is.

    I love the fact that you use bluebird, but you didn't mention that's its really the best flour to use. I would rather go without than to not use bluebird...

    Awww I'm going to try this... Way I was shown a few years ago they are good ... But they are heavy.. not like Elly Mae's or anything .. lol but I want light.. airy/ flaky kind.. old recipi was water salt flour self rising....
    Milk is for fluffy? What about lard/ crisco? Should I still add a lil or no . I'm making these Friday or Saturday I do believe

    • @mmasque2052
      @mmasque2052 9 месяцев назад

      The baking powder is what adds fluffiness. Self-rising flour already has baking powder blended into it. The difference between milk and water is that milk has some fat in it. With that, you don’t need to add oil or shortening. Also, adding oil or shortening or lard will make it less fluffy and closer to a tortilla.
