I recently started doing pyrography and even started to upload my own projects to my channel....Your videos and channel REALLY helps me out a lot! Thank you for sharing
Awsome review so simple the way you explained the process. Just a question does the Accelerator spray work with the Gorilla glue clear spray??? Thank you once again
I just picked up some Starbond colored CA. I happen to have another brand of CA accelerator on hand. Should an alternate brand CA accelerator work without problem with Starbond brand glue? (My impression is that all the accelerators are basically the same.) Thanks.
Couple questions…if you spray the accelerator outside your glue area a bit, does it leave a sheen or any residue to clean up and how does the cricut do with cutting thin wood, is it worth it?
Hey Dawn! I haven't noticed any sheen or issues with overspray. It dries pretty quickly and I believe that it just dissipates when there's no glue present to react with. As for the cricut being worth it, it depends on how much you plan to incorporate it with your pieces. Are you planning on selling and using it a lot? If yes, then it could possibly be worth it to you. It works fine on the thin wood as long as the template is simple and larger. If you try to cut really intricate designs with thin spots, it won't cut well. The more intricate design, the breaks and chips you'll get. I have noticed that the deep cut blade on the thinner Cricut Veneer sheets do way better on intricate designs than the knife blade with the thicker basswood. The design in this video worked really well with the basswood. You can see it's a wide cut with no intricate cuts, so it came out great from the machine. Hope that helps. :)
Thanks for the nice video! Have you tried adding sawdust when filling in the holes to make it look more like wood? Great video!
That’s the usual technique I use
I haven't tried that.

Thanks Mel! I’m so glad the videos are helpful. Congrats on getting your channel started!
That's a great product, I use it a lot.
Right! Clay and I both use it a lot too. So versatile.

I'm not sure. I've never used it with Gorilla, but you could probably test it on some scrap and see what happens.

Hey Michael! I'm not really sure. Starbond is the only one I've ever use, but it seems like it would work.
ALL SPRAY ACCELERATORS ARE MADE OF THE SAME STUFF ... JUST GOOGLE WHAT THEY ARE MADE OF..

You have like two seconds to fit it?? That’s a tricky one
