    My boyfriend is in a whole other room while I’m watching this and out of nowhere he says “She sounds like a nice lady.” 😂
    He’s so right. Your energy is so calming and the way you explain things is so digestible and easy to focus on. You are a born teacher.
    Just can’t thank you enough for creating this content.
    P.S. I am now obsessed with wood burning time lapses and compilations with calming music. *wink wink* *nudge nudge * 😁

    Your channel inspired me to buy some wood discs and dust off the wood burning kit I bought years ago and never used. I love your content and I’m so grateful to you for sharing. Your work is so beautiful and I felt like I could be really good at this, too! Just a feeling. But you really inspired me. Thank you so much!

    I commented on the another comparison vid you did. The one I am use is the walnut hallow you displayed in this video. I feel at this point I have outgrown it and ready for that upgrade

      Thanks Harley! I'm glad to hear you're ready to upgrade. It's exciting to go from the brass tips to the wire tips. There's a big difference in the efficiency and heat.

      @@Pyrocrafters I heard it can heat up the wand to where it expands and breaks or has problems. Is that a known problem or is there a way I can avoid it?

    This video is just what I needed! I'm upgrading from a crappy cheap Amazon "wood burner" to a professional one, and this answered a lot of questions. I really like the Truart and Colwood, but I want to burn on bones too. Do you think they are hot enough to burn bone or do I need the Burnmaster?

    • @Pyrocrafters
      @Pyrocrafters  3 года назад +1

      Hey Evi! I’ve never burned bones, but these burners get hot at a level that is excessive for wood, so I’m feel like the higher levels would work on bones.

    Im here in Huntsville AL, i got the Walnut hallow, it worked well but i used a really HARD WOOD to burn on, i used the shader tip to get my fine lines and shades. ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE - THE HEAT IN THE WAND, makes the metal expand, that made the tip start to get loose, so i had to use pliars to tighten it after heating, but i let it cool down like that... it locked up on the TIP like mad, so i had to heat it back up to get the tip back out....only draw back on it, its not fast, so it lets you develope your skill, before you put speed to it....LIke a teen driving, you do not get them a BMW for the first car, you get them something okay, so they can learn first.

      Hey Veronica! I change it up a lot just to keep a good rotation going. I guess I use my Colwood the most. It's the burner I learned how to wood burn with, so I have a stronger comfort level with it. Thanks for watching!

    Does the truart have an adapter for razor tip's tips?

    • @Pyrocrafters
      @Pyrocrafters  3 года назад

      Not that I know of, but from the looks of the razertip tips on the site, it may be a possible to insert the razertip tips into the Truart wand. The razertip wands I have are solid fixed tips, not separable, so I’m not 100% sure if they will fit.
      That’s a good question. I’m glad you asked cause I never thought about the interchangeability there. Let me see what I can find out and I’ll get back to you.

    Hello - Great review of these burners. I am just getting started in pyrography, and am going to be working on a variety of media - gourds, leather, wood, and paper. I have looked at all the pro burners you reviewed, and am leaning toward the Razertip product line, but am also considering the Optima line as well. Have you used this burner?

    • @Pyrocrafters

    Thanks so much for video. Per your video i just purchased the Walnut Hollow for $60 at Hobby Lobby. Love it. I just can't do the $200 ones at least not yet. Lol But the WH is soooooo of much better than the soldering ones I've been using. Thank you again. I saw in comments you like the Colwood for $200... maybe for Christmas, :)

      Hey Pamela! There are a lot of great brands out there. You can't go wrong with Razertip, Truart, Optima, Colwood. It comes down to deciding what's the most important feature and price range for you, then choosing the brand that fits that need.
      Do you need a lot of variety in a brand? Is customer service important? Do you need a really hot burner? Do you want a cooler wand? What's your budget?

    What about tip kit only for solder irons? Anyone try that? Let me explain. I repair small electronics. So I use solder irons rework stations etc. I have an old rework station that the heat gun no longer works. So I got a new unit. I thought about using the solder iron to burn wood. I don’t want to do much art per say. I just want to wood burn those little wood tags.

    • @Pyrocrafters
      @Pyrocrafters  2 года назад

      Hey there! You can use a solder tool to burn wood, just keep in mind to use light pressure. Solder tips are typically long, and they easily break in wood burning. Don’t push too hard, and you should be okay with it.
