    This Kerala style Pepper Chicken Curry is known for its intense pepper flavor and the unique touch of coconut oil and curry leaves, which contribute to the distinctive taste of Kerala cuisine. Adjust the spice levels to your liking and enjoy this delicious and aromatic dish!
    Please note adding coconut milk or cashew paste will add a creamy texture to the curry and provide a slightly sweet and nutty flavor, balancing the heat from the black pepper. Adjust the quantity based on your preference for richness and creaminess.
    Pepper chicken curry is often enjoyed with rice, rice, parotta,
    chapatis or appams or any other bread of your choice. The dish's peppery kick and aromatic spices make it a delightful and comforting meal for spice lovers.

    Ingredients :
    Marination :
    500 gms Chicken with bones
    ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
    1 tbsp Lemon Juice
    Other Ingredients :
    3 tbsp Coconut Oil (use as per your diet restrictions)
    50 gms Shallots (sliced)
    1 medium sized (100 gms) Onion - thinly sliced
    1 tsp Fennel Seeds (saunf) - slightly crushed
    2 nos Green Chillies (finely chopped)
    1 tsp (10 gms) Ginger (finely chopped)
    15 cloves (20 gms) Garlic (finely chopped)
    1 sprig Curry Leaves
    1 medium sized (90 gms) Tomatoes (finely chopped)
    ½ tsp Salt (or as per taste)
    1 tsp Coriander Powder (dhania powder)
    1 tsp Black Pepper Powder (kali mirch powder) - freshly crushed to a coarse texture
    150 ml Hot Water
    ½ tsp Garam Masala Powder
    1 tsp Black Pepper Powder (crushed to a coarse texture)
    3 to 4 nos Dry Red Chillies (whole)
    3 tbsp (1/4th cup) Coconut Milk (1st extract, thick milk) - Here, we have used tinned coconut milk. Alternatively, you can add cashew paste if you prefer
    1 sprig Curry Leaves
    Note : tsp is teaspoon
    tbsp is tablespoon
    Use Oil as per your diet restrictions
    Use Chillies as per your spice preference
    Always wash curry leaves & coriander leaves before use
