I love it when you work out in the field mowing, raking, tedding, baling. That is really nice to me. Dairy farm work is ok too, I've done it (years ago) and it is nice and I love the cows, but I really like the field work. Something about driving a tractor and the equipment that I really like.
Hi Tay and Brent, Thanks again for the wonderful video. I really look forward to them. Believe it or not but your channel is my first and only that I have subscribed to. The reason is that I have watched hundreds of videos through the years but so far your channel is the only one that I consider authentic. Your posts are so down to earth and that’s what I love about them. Please keep them coming. Your personality really shines in each and every one of them. Brent is one lucky man to have you around, but I tend to think he already knows that.
Great stuff Taylor and Brent !! Only way not to have problems while farming or anything else, is not to do anything!!! I think I saw some competition going on during the sign painting, especially in one young Ladies eyes!!! But I could be wrong, lol !!! You all be safe and God bless you!!!! Eddy
Thank you Tay for the videos, i always enjoy them. Calves look great. Don't sweat getting the branch in the haybine things hide well in tall grass. Hope you all enjoy summer.
What's really impressive is there was no swearing involved in the diagnosis and correction of the stick problem. Brent even said please when under the mower. Good on you both.
Beautiful video Taylor well done to you and Brent. You both are amazing and fabulous. Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to take us on your daily journey and travels about your farm life. God bless and stay safe and warm regards from us all in Ireland. Pat Brazil. 😂
Good morning from Wisconsin where most of our state is under a heat advisory. Thank you for allowing us to ride with you again. It’s great to see all of the scenery, cows on pasture, and your farm buildings. I think those signs in the future will read “Taylor’s Farm”. Again, a great video. 😉🐄
When you are opening up a new field the woods line should be your last pass in case you hit something …. If you hit something on your last pass at least you’ll have the field mowed…. my dad taught me that when I was a teenager…. The last pass is the woods line or fence line I 18:58
Hi Taylor thanks again for sharing another great video. When you have sunshine 🌞 it sure looks beautiful scenery. Looks like you are going to have a good second cut, that Kabota sound great working the mower. The new signs are going to look awesome. Hope you have a fantastic weekend take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
The calves look great, even the moose, lol. Glad you are looking around for momma bear to stay away from her. They can travel some distance so anywhere in the area she could pop out of the woods. The sign looks great can't wait to see it done. When you mow taller grass it is more likely something could be hidden, don't let it bother you, no harm no foul. It is always nice to see a new video from you. Got to give you credit for thinking of cutting the branch out with a saw, I probably would have started kicking it and tried to break it, then finally went for a saw, lol. Hope you all stay safe and healthy. BTW it is over 100 F here and the weather is moving east towards you guys.
Thank! Moose would have been a better name for her😂. Yes I have a healthy fear of bear, never actually seen one but I’m not looking to break my streak! I pulled at that stick a bit but Im not really big enough to do much damage so I usually look for an easier way ☺️. Thanks so much for watching hopefully y’all get some cooler temperatures and maybe send some of that hay weather out to us!😊
'mornin' Tay! Fun riding around the field with you again! If I might make a suggestion on your mowing. When you start mowing, start in the other direction. Mowing with the tractor next to the tree line gives you a chance to see any limbs and logs going under the front tires and usually you can see them before you run over them completely and it keeps the mower away from those pesky logs! Then you can turn around and catch the out side edge after you've already patrolled it. Might save you some footsteps...unless you are all head up to ruin the mower, then by all means forget what I said! Great video!! 🤠🪵🚜🐮
@@Mike-bm6cf What I said was how I have seen it done by dozens of farmers. Besides, you telling me she wouldn't have seen that log better from the tractor coming from the other direction?
It feels like Brent as been in the videos more of late, like maybe getting more comfortable with it all. He seems pretty funny, and must be a blast to work with. :)
Hi Taylor , love your videos. I support the advice to start mowing the other way round. But more importantly : always shut your tractor's engine down when you start fiddling with pto-powered machinery attached to it. By rocking the mower-disc with your hands you could accidently engage the pto, and that could lead to some very serious injuries. Greetings from Belgium.
Glad the log did not damage the haybine. I have come to use vinyl gloves when painting as I get tired of getting paint all over my hands. You did a great job cutting out the letters. the heat index here in SW Indiana reached 115 today we one more day of this heat and humidity. The national forecast shows you getting more rain.
Lesson learned: Walk/ATV around the field boarders near woods before the first cutting after winter storm damage. Machines and cows don't like branches in their grass. Excellent videos👍👍🐮
Rain makes grain! We are in extreme drought in Iowa. Would love to have your excess moisture problems. Dutch Letters are a specialty pastry from Pelli, Iowa. Jarsma bakery! Another excellent video. I always look forward to the next one.
Awesome tractor action. Always like seeing how other farms get there crops in. Boss man seems like a funny cat. Can’t wait to see the sign hanging on the barn. Thanks for the video. It’s got to be hard work making these videos. Have a good weekend.
I hope yall get some dry weather so u can get ur haylage in. I know there are a lot of comments saying to shut ur tractor down to prevent accidental pto engagement......so I'm not gonna repeat that warning....lol...be safe out there. U r a great ambassador for the farm community and we don't want to see u injured.
Great video Taylor all your videos I learned so much thank you thank you will you please tell Brent thank you thank you for all his hard work Sandahl Taylor's hard work you guys are amazing take care God bless
Hi Taylor, your perfect day turned upside down again. At least it was a first on the farm ever, which gave Brent a chuckle. I didnt know we have seen you mow, rack and bale almost 800 bales on the videos. Have you bought the walkie talkie battery yet? Would hate to think if something happened to you or Brent and nobody knew. The sign looked good and is even better now with the black paint on it, great team work guys. I noticed in this video you wore a ring on the fourth finger on your left hand and I think it had a green stone in the middle. I am just asking! Thanks for sharing, Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
Theres a mama bear and her cubs around here, dont get off the tractor to be safe.... Taylor proceeds to get off the tractor and walk back to the farm....silly Taylor
Good afternoon from Pennsylvania. Hope everything is going good for you guys there in Maine. Love the haying videos. I said it before and will say it again. Haying was my preference when I was on my uncle's farm. Next best was milking... Loved interacting with the cows. My favorite cow was Smokey. She was a kicker though. She never kicked me or my uncle. She kicked everyone else. There were a total of 7 kids on the farm. Along with my aunt and uncle. Plenty of help. Have a great day and God bless.
Sorry you had trouble, but your pictures showing us what was wrong and how you fixed it were really great Thanks for letting us go with you though your work day...
Hello from Minnesota were we are on the cool down from over 100 yesterday. Just discovered you channel, You and Brent make a good team, Brent is hilarious by the way. I work on my farm with two of my three daughters and its nice to see someone else their age with a good work ethic. We used to milk in a tie stall barn until I was in my teens and we focused on row crops. It sure brings back memories. I still keep a few cows around, theyre more like pets than anything. They like to be by the road because they are like nosey old ladies, they also like polka music. Loved seeing the International got a 1466 and an 856, of our ten tractors they are my favorites. Hope down in Pella they are able to help with the bailer, have them send some goodies from the Dutch bakery.
Hi! That’s some warm weather, bet your definitely ready for some cooler days. That is amazing that you and your daughters farm together!! Cows make the best pets (even though they can be infuriating at times you can’t help but love them 😂). Old internationals are wonderful made tractors, just something about them that makes them hard not to like. Hopefully they can give us a run down of the baler since they probably know them best. Oh, I LOVE a sweet treat!! Thanks so much for committing 😊
Hi, Taylor from New Zealand. Great to see a simple style of farming. Here in NZ, we have around 10,000 dairy farmers, with an average herd size of 400. It's Spring time for us here, most herds are 3/4 way through calving. Say hi to Brent, he seems a lovely guy, and very funny. I can see why you work together so well. Happy Farming.
Well Taylor, at least when you returned to the tractor with Brent you guys didn’t find the bears on the tractor. 😂 I noticed you had a walkie-talkie in your tractor, Tay. I wondered why you did not use that to call Brent. At least you had nice weather for your walk. Enjoy your day! 🏍🇺🇸🎒
Hey Taylor, I’m late to your channel. You refer to Brent as your boss. Is he the owner of the farm? Boy, send some of that excess rain my way. We are roasting in the Texas panhandle. I saw all the moisture on the tractor tires while you were cutting hay. I couldn’t imagine how you got the stuff dry enough to bale. Then you said it gets baled and wrapped for haylage. Down here guys cut hay and leave it in a windrow. It’s so dry they never rake or run a tedder over it. Just bale it up in the original wind row. Thanks for sharing your videos. Sure is pretty country up there. Y’all stay safe and keep an eye out for them bears.
I wish I could find about 5 of you to work for me. My goodness you are one hard working young gal. If you ever want to become a carpenter and move to TN please let me know. : )
Great to see you getting some second cut in. It was looking pretty good too. I just finished my first cut yesterday, I'm in southern NH so I 've been plagued with rain this summer as well. As far as your mower eating firewood, manure occurs as thay say. I get nervous if everything runs too smoothly, but I guess your baler is taking care of that. Keep up the good work.
Good morning Tay ☀️ It seems like it’s been a bad luck year for everyone farming this year unfortunately. I mow the back swath the other way so that if there is anything next to woods it’s easier to see and it I run over anything with tractor it is not as bad as if you hit it with mower, you still are going against the hay that you ran over on first pass so mower cuts it clean but everybody has their way. Lol There is no wrong way just different ways. Glad you are getting better weather because we are still in rain every few days. 🤦♂️ Another great video.🤗
i have a 37 horse kubota remember fondly hollering across the fields to my girls put it in turtle, good looking calves, hard to get dry hay in those fields with trees so close here to
Hopefully the Dutch down in Pella can help you out with your baler. Seems like an easy fix to me. Cus I know nothing about it 😁 the only moisture we are getting is the sweat from this 100+ weather.should get less warm in a day or two. Like your videos keep them coming
Just finished up my second cut grass last night, only leaves 4th cut alfalfa and some sudan grass to do. this spring we couldnt pay for rain now we gamble to see if we can make dry hay between the storm. south east PA

Hi Taylor. Get yourself an electric chainsaw and a small Mallet for the Kubota. Tractor sounds a little rough at idle. Nice grass for a second cut. Loved the video.
If that was a haybine instead of a discbine that wood piece would probably have done damage to the reel and maybe break a few gaurds and sickle sections. Discbines are so much nicer

But not to brag i honestly never ran anything bigger through the haybind then a rabbit im.just that good but I did have a tree fall right into the baler which destroyed the baler but it did bale up a chunk of that birch hahahaha ! Yes it happens and if the crop is good the trees and branches get nicely hidden!! Looks like you got alot of tree foil in your field , planted or is it growing wild??
Your chances of getting mauled by the bear are pretty low, even though she has cubs. She hears that tractor she’s taking off. Besides that time of day they’re probably sleeping even if they’re still nearby. Nothing wrong with being cautious though.
What was the log doing in the meadow, things go wrong for a reason, wouldnt it be a good idea to have some form of communation besides phone,.Still a super video.looks a good quality croop. That kubota seems a very reliable tractor.
The maples that line the road drop branches quite often, we actually do have walkie talkies in the tractors but wouldn’t ya know my battery was dead!yes the kubota is a great tractor in my opinion. Thanks so much for watching!!
@@tayfarms that explains it,kubpotas are becoming more popular in southern Ireland, and we've heard nothing bad about them so far,.the maple is a nice tree.

i have a 37 horse kubota remember fondly hollering across the fields to my girls put it in turtle, good looking calves, hard to get dry hay in those fields with trees so close here to
Just wondering if those mowers have a hydraulic block like combines do if you crawl under them?
Yup it does 😊
Hopefully the Dutch down in Pella can help you out with your baler. Seems like an easy fix to me. Cus I know nothing about it 😁 the only moisture we are getting is the sweat from this 100+ weather.should get less warm in a day or two. Like your videos keep them coming

Yo...Tay...subscribed 2 UR Channel last night!!!!!
You should trade that baler for a kuhn or Massey baler man those vermeers are hit or miss cause I know farms that run them flawless
I hate to brag but were done with 4th cutting, 400 acres here in Minnesota, starting corn silage next week
That is some beautiful 2nd cut right there

large wood & rocks are the worst enemy of mower s # they damage the mower blades # beautiful calves # ❤️🇵🇰
Love your show keep up the hard work your great
Could you have Brent do a farm history video sometime?
Seems like the farm was very different in the past.
Bunk silos and all
Great idea!
Who needs a bush hog when you got Taylor cuttin? Just kidding. I like your content.

How much you fertilize the fields?
I am a Farmer too.
Greetings from Chile!
They look great. 😊
If i was still farming I would want 5 of you working with me🤔🤔👍👍👍🙋♂️🙏🙏🙏🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄⚘⚘⚘
More power keep it flat out and there be no problem ❤
sounds like the net wrap brake is out of adjustment if not try another brand of net wrap
a walkie -talkie might preclude a walkie. i think, given the noise, the bears would be long gone
if ya screw it up- do it GOOD!
Great video
