    Dillon, I just can’t stop watching you! You are so darn funny, you keep me giggling the whole video. I love your dry sense of humor, and the way you act like you don’t know what you’re doing but everything comes out great! Also, you are very natural, just being yourself. I love that. @wellyourworld @dillon the result of half buckwheat flour and half oat flour was a success! A nice firm bread but not dry at all and not mushy! I may try using all buckwheat flour at some point.

    A key to those reading....don't over-mix the dry to wet ingredients. Not over-mixing will make the bread light & fluffy.

    I don't add sodium in the form of baking soda. I let the sourdough rise high and then bake it. I don't use baking powder either. And this is still the best recipe I have seen on the Internet for a vegan banana bread. It is almost like mine, but I use tiger nut flour and any seeds I have like sesame, poppy and sunflower seeds. I also use different dried fruits, like apricot and prunes.

  • @MadlyinLovewithJesus-1953

    This is great. I think I'm gonna try this with two-thirds organic whole wheat flour and one-third oat flour -- and bananas which are much more ripe and very mooshy. I was always taught to make banana bread with bananas that were nearly black (and then you can use less dates too).

    Thank you--I'm new to this life and really appreciate what you're doing! Made this yesterday according to your recipe and it has been a hit! The only changes I'll be making next time are to increase the cinnamon (as you suggested one might want to do) to 3/4 teaspoon or so -and- to toast the walnut pieces, + rotate the pan at about the 1/2-way point. I used sprouted wheat flour, but wondering if it might even be better w whole wheat pastry flour or just plain old whole wheat? (Probably no way to mess it up!)

    • @WellYourWorld

    • @WellYourWorld
      @WellYourWorld  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you!! I have done it with oat flour and it was a bit mushier, which isn't so bad but different. I think almond flour might work, except that since it based off nuts that is going to give you a lot more calories, and I try to keep the calorie density low, since any type of flour is inherently higher in calorie density. Hope this helps.

  • @christinedreams8099
    @christinedreams8099 6 лет назад +2

    Is your almond milk thick enough to be a coffee creamer? Do you use any thickeners like tapioca flour or kappa carrageenan? Watching you do the milk by hand made me think of this...sadly, I’m still on coffee...organic and no sugar and plant creamer, it store bought. I’m very glad I found your channel. Anna bread and oat cookies are now mandatory for this lady. I’m thinking of adding Apple sauce or mayhap a smidgeon or molasses but we shall see.

    • @WellYourWorld
      @WellYourWorld  6 лет назад +1

      Homemade almond milk can be pretty thick. I’m not sure if I’d call it a creamer or not though. I don’t use any thickeners but I also don’t really make the homemade milk all too often. Thanks for asking!

    How about almond flour(ground almonds) for gluten free version? Possibly too dense? Worth a try maybe

      +Liz Oliveira I think it would add some fat. I had tried it with garbanzo bean flour aka chickpea flour but it didn't go well. I'll keep at it. 😊 thank you for watching

      Liz Oliveira it doesn't have to be totally fat free. I did add some walnuts 😋

    Dillon- if you put your cutting board on a towel or non skid pad it won’t slip around when you chop. 😀

    I literally laughed out loud when i saw the counter filled with tomatoes!! hahaha
    The banana bread looks awesome but alas I am in the 30 day challenge and also I think I would eat the whole loaf so I will have to wait till I lose my weight before attempting to make this. But make it I will one day...
