Sorry but I have to say Mr Clegg attacking Mr Farage over Russia taking BACK the crimea unlawfully or not STINKS of hypocrisy. Remember the FALKLANDS, GIBRALTAR, N IRELAND etc, not to mention the ILLEGAL wars you - MR CLEGG - allowed us to participate in. And there are many more hypocritical NATIONS that have done the same for land or power in the past and present.
Check out Millennial Woes channel really good analysis on this debate. Now, Nick Clegg thinks that there exists some historical arbiter, that will prevent Britain becoming irrevocably different over the next half century. However, with the immigrant population including muslims, rising out of all proportion to the originals, Britain in 50 years will be divided, partially undemocratic and with huge insurmountable problems. Nick will of course, have taken his family off to the U.S or somewhere else at this point. His mad rantings and ravings will be but a distant echo in the history of the UK. The myth that there will always remain status quo - the dominance of the white European Christian (or Atheist) population - will be totally and bitterly exploded. In short, Clegg is a very short-sighted traitor, who will one day be but a distant memory. Remembered as a fool.
Farage. Clegg cut his own throat when he engaged in character assassination and taking Farage's comments on Putin out of context. That form of debate from Clegg is the sign of a politician who has lost the argument and lost the plot.
Patrick, as an ex-pat American I must tell you that Farage is spot-on regarding his analysis of the impact of immigration on local labour markets. Being originally from the Soutwestern US, the impact of both legal and illegal Mexican labour destroyed the wage levels for entry level jobs and even skilled trades there; local tradesmen were driven out of business on a wholesale level. How does that help "the working man"?
828johng Access to a cheap and easy labour force benefits big business far more than the British worker. This is true. But Farage is being hypocritical here. The man is not a socialist. I think emigration is the hook he'll get votes on but at heart he is a free market economist, and in all free market economies, even the protectionist one he proposes the same rules apply. survival of the fittest and a race to the bottom on wages for the unskilled. His over all ethos will never allow the state to interfere on workers wages by raising the minimum wage to a living wage for example. THe UK leaving the EU would be a disaster for the rest of us. THeyre too big an economy to lose.
Patrick Doyle I saw no evidence in this or any recent statements by Farage that he's either a socialist or a protectionist. It seems to me that what he is proposing is trade agreements more in line with the original concept of the Common Market, not the current political union. I would have to ask why leaving the EU would be a disaster, as there is no evidence that EU nations cease to trade or negotiate trade agreements with non-EU nations. To say you have something to "lose" implies ownership-and in that, one must ask precisely just what is "owned" through EU membership? As to the merits of labour economics versus goverment involvement, that is a lengthy discussion which has been under debate for years!
***** Frolly, respect to you, sir, but what is good for business is NOT NECESSARILY good for workers. It just isn't. They've got us on zero hours contracts now, while the bosses are still making billions. It's time for workers to get their slice of the cake. Bring back trade unions.

Farage won "An ICM poll for The Guardian found that 69 per cent of people thought Mr Farage performed better, with 31 per cent opting for Mr Clegg."
Clegg 0, Farage 10.

Farage "champion of the working man" yet a self proclaimed Thatcherite? So how does that work?

Hello!
What is good for business is good for the workers!
