If you're ok with extreme gore, the opening of The Collection nails this oddly fascinating concept on the head (It's also a sequel to The Collector, basically a non-Saw Saw concept that became it's own thing. But the club scene opening the The Collection is on RUclips. Again, there's some gnarly gore throughout these flicks. But theyre HIGHLY enjoyable if it's your jam)

Hes actually talented. Truly talented artist will always be original and unique with their ideas and what they portray to the world, because its GOD given. But Hollywood locks out and gatekeeps against new and authentic writers, actors, musicians etc, and puts the non-talented but connected people in these positions. M. Night is simply one who slipped thru the cracks and we're lucky to have him as an artist/creative.

He’s in the independent film industry (where he always wanted to work) and makes at least one film a year. Three that I really like are Inherit the Viper (2019), Valley of the Gods (2020) and especially Ida Red (2021). VotG went straight to video because of the pandemic but the others are streaming. You got to hunt, girl! 😊
It wasn't filmed in the Rogers Center. It was filmed at the First Ontario Center (formerly Copps Coliseum) in Hamilton. They were there for over a month.

It's very kind of the trailer editor to put it right out front that this is M Knight Shyamalan diarrhea. Sometimes they try to hide it, and I almost accidentally watched "Knock at the Cabin!"
Good trailer, Shamalayan can be hit or miss but this looks rather interesting and original. Hartnett has been out of the spotlight for a while, he’s been doing a lot of work as a supporting actor but it’s nice to see him in a lead role. The prevailing theory is that Josh’s character is the killer but I think it’s the guy working who tells him about the situation. He was keen to let out a big secret at the expense of his job, serial killers who execute an elaborate plan tend to inform the victims of their intent. We shall see, I’m definitely going to check this out.
The indie Bunraku is a treat! You can rent it here. Hartnett, Harrelson, Perlman, Gack’t having a ball in this bizarro film. We have the dvd. LOVE it! We have a good collection of his indies.
My prediction is that the daughter followed him once and found out he was the butcher and with the conflict she felt about loving her dad but seeing that he’s the butcher she couldn’t outright rat on him so instead left a tip for the fbi. This fills the plot point of the merch guy saying that the FBI received a tip.
I’m hoping it all a red herring so that the twist is actually surprising. It’s been awhile since a M.Night movie really surprised me. He denies it. They check the DNA they found on the letter with his. Its a 50% match. The daughter is still with Lady Raven. End of movie.

That dude has been making at least one film every year for 20+ years!😂 Last year he stepped out of indie/art house films to do FOUR projects. The Fear Index, a UK series. A Black Mirror award-winning episode, Guy Ritchie’s Operation Fortune and Oppenheimer ( for which he earned a SAG award). If you’re a Hartnett fan, you gotta check IMBD. 😊
