The flesh is weak, but this video is strong and The Council Approves of it's Machine Spirit. Awesome video, as a collector of the Iron Tenth I really enjoyed this. At the final seminar of the Horus Heresy Weekender last year Tony Cottrell asked for a show of hands on which Astartes characters Forge World should make in the future. When he said Shadrack Meduson all 400 hands went up :)
This is good stuff man. I’m in the beginning stages of coming up with a mechanical chaos chapter and iron hands would be perfect. My sertur legion is a chaotic A.I. That destroys any and all flesh it comes across and those who aid in the destruction of flesh will be rewarded as a living machine with sertur as its guide. I’m getting my first miniature which is an imperial knight which I’m making renegade and completely run on this A.I.
Even with little to work with, good job! I hope that you are well steeped in the lore of the 1st Legion (1st team) when their time comes! There is a lot of secrecy, misinformation, and indirect information about them in other books. I swear that Leman Russ' book seems almost as much about the 1st as the 6th.
The schism of technology? I covered the Schism of Mars when I did the Adeptus Mechanicus, and the Dark Age of Technology is a little low on information; did you mean one of those or something else?
As your ship is exiting the Medusan system, scanners detect a new ship that appeared out of nowhere. After a moment, You register new vox transmission eminating from the ship in question: "Good news everyone, we have succesfully reach our attempted destination. In addition, it is my... honour to welcome everyone to the 41st millenia!" The vox lays silent after the transmission for entire minute after the transmission has concluded: "THAMATICA!"
What book is the story in that is spoken about at 13:30? About the group of Astartes from different legions who escaped the massacre then went on crazy missions?
Primarch Roboute Guilliman yeah the Emperor told the Custodes to unplug your life support, so I took the initiative and did it myself, he also said to disband the Smurf Village.
Have you thought in doing videos similar to these but dedicated to the tactics of the legion in the lore. To contextualize the differences and specialization of each
So post-heresy what major events/battles have they been involved in? Are there any more great stories of there valor? I'm going to role-play an Iron Hand (assault marine) for Deathwatch and any info would be appreciated.
Well I covered Clan Raukaan in a separate video, which should give you at least some information. There is also the novel "Wrath of Iron" that I've read personally, and if you use the wikis you can dig up more I'm sure
Tactica Imperialis he is one of the main characters in the 30th official book of the horus heresy, just finished that one so thats why i do know him :)
hmm...I wonder what would happen if (rather than a Horus Heresy) all the legions engaged in a FFA. I wonder who would win. >:3 (This would be pre-heresy legions btw)
If I recall correctly, Heresy Era Word Bearers and Ultramarines were the largest legions. I'd reckon it would come down to them on sheer weight of numbers alone, but also because both were very good at what they did, although I see the sons of Ultramar becoming the victors. Damn smurfs.
I would have said Alpha Legion for the ultimate Free for All winners. I mean the Ultradorks couldn't break the Alpha Legion post Heresy either. While the Ultramarines might have been able to beat down anything they faced, they'd never have faced the Alpha Legion. And the Alpha Legion does the Assymetric Warfare thing better than say the Night Lords as their primary rivals so I'd see them coming out on top of that.
Ferrus drowns dragons in magma with his bare hands, Meduson atemps to assassinate 3 primarchs, Mor destroys a planet by crushing its moon into it, ... say what you want about the Xth but they are fucking bad ass.
Derek Burge I've never seen records of it, but then space marines don't have the same faith/belief system as the rest of the Imperium so they don't really believe in the Imperial Cult either. Some might, but it's not the official chapter religion
FULGRIM DID NOT KNOCK FERRUS UNCONSCIOUS. ALL OF YOU "LORE" CHANNELS GET THAT WRONG. Ferrus tried to break the fireblad with his hands and the explosion knocked him out. I swear people don't read the lore and then act like they know it.
Wrong. Before during and after, the crusade, the heresy. The Salamanders have frequently adopted, adapted and overcame. They have improved Adeptus Mechinae. Click bait
Ferrus Manus was one of the coolest primarchs. Great video.

Its a shame manus didnt coat his neck with that living silver metal
Sly Carl not an option unfortunately, he'd have probably lost his head in the magma trying that
He should have just bathed himself in the molten metal ...
Iron Hands
HAH!
Iron Man
@@theinquisitor306 Gives the Black Sabbath song new meaning.
Yeeeaah! Nice! One of the best chapter ever!
(I know you don't like Jaghatai Khan, but do the White Scars man!)
leo rui the sons of the Khan are part of the plan, I'm not sure when our mutual friend will get to Chogoris though
After finishing the book fulgrim. my hatred for the emperor's children has never been higher nor more bitter
oh..ferrus :'(
ohhh i get it. ferrus (primarch) - ferrous (metal with iron in it)
this is why i subscribed :)

Excellent video as always buddy

What do you expect from a traitor legion?
I love the 10th, should do a video on the schism of technology happened in 40k
The schism of technology? I covered the Schism of Mars when I did the Adeptus Mechanicus, and the Dark Age of Technology is a little low on information; did you mean one of those or something else?
THE FLESH IS WEAK !!!!
FLESH IS WEAK
With steel we are stronger, but without a soul we are nothing.
Ferrus and Fulgrim are the best BFFs and best part of Horus Heresy.

Lol they met the orks in a 1v1 on rust😂😂
What book is the story in that is spoken about at 13:30? About the group of Astartes from different legions who escaped the massacre then went on crazy missions?
Suggestion: Ultramarines.
Primarch Roboute Guilliman patience
Primarch Roboute Guilliman wait? Didn't I unplug your life support?
Huh?
Primarch Roboute Guilliman yeah the Emperor told the Custodes to unplug your life support, so I took the initiative and did it myself, he also said to disband the Smurf Village.
When will you do IG regiments?
Turmunhk Ganba in good time, I don't know exactly when but its in the plan to cover a few
Have you thought in doing videos similar to these but dedicated to the tactics of the legion in the lore. To contextualize the differences and specialization of each
Traianus 227 I touch on the tactics in these videos, but maybe at the end I'll do a video on that
Tactica Imperialis you do and that is why my comment because I want to know more. It feels like the tip of their tactical iceberg
White Scars need some love. Nobody even remembers them anymore 😂
Eetu Lehtonen they're in the plan, don't worry
Well we got my second favourite chapter done so I am satisfied... for now
So post-heresy what major events/battles have they been involved in? Are there any more great stories of there valor? I'm going to role-play an Iron Hand (assault marine) for Deathwatch and any info would be appreciated.

Ah I see that video over here on the right and I'll look up that book. Thanks for the response!
"though it does seem to have an iron father who acts as a chapter master" and his name was Smashfucker
sooo good
very well done as always, but have you not heard of atticus?
I have not actually.
Tactica Imperialis he is one of the main characters in the 30th official book of the horus heresy, just finished that one so thats why i do know him :)
2nd favorite chapter can u do 1 on the imperial fists the best of the best
I'm doing every Legion, but it will be a while before we get to Rogal Dorn and co.
nice 1
Meduson was betrayed by Frater Aug, leading him to be killed by the Sons of Horus.

I’m not sure when the book came out, maybe it was after this video, but shadrack meduson is dead. It’s the book OLD EARTH.
I see now that this video was before that book.
Ferrus drowns dragons in magma with his bare hands, Meduson atemps to assassinate 3 primarchs, Mor destroys a planet by crushing its moon into it, ... say what you want about the Xth but they are fucking bad ass.
Shut up, Ferrus Brain-Ghost! you are NOT friend!
Well, now we know what happened to Shadrak :/
So... Do the Iron Hands worship the Omnissiah post-heresy too?
Derek Burge I've never seen records of it, but then space marines don't have the same faith/belief system as the rest of the Imperium so they don't really believe in the Imperial Cult either. Some might, but it's not the official chapter religion
Derek Burge Have a read of the background to the Sons of Medusa, safe to say it's complex ;)
